We live in Suffolk but wanted something really local so thought we would try peewit. The staff are lovely and really helpful, the park is kept immaculately and as said by someone else the lighting in the park is excellent. We weren't bothered at all by the containers, although we did hear the horn sounding one morning, but it was not intrusive and reminded us that we were so close to the sea.
We went down to old Felixstowe and walked along the beech with our dogs ( allowed on the beech off the lead) and also went down to the viewing point by the docks where you can see Harwich and Shotley you can catch a foot ferry to Harwich if you want to.
The toilet block is very clean but I totally agree really does need updating.
The outside washing up point is clean and functional don't forget some 10p pieces though as you have to pay for th hot water when washing up.
We met some lovely people and would definitely go again a lovely peaceful weekend and a lovely place to stop if staying in Suffolk or going through the port of Felixstowe.

Nice site, staff very friendly, facilities fine. I would recommend without hesitation. There is a morrisons half a mile away, the seafront is just a short walk away also. I didn't hear any noise from container port which is nearby! Toilets and showers were fine, a deposit is required for key which is returned on departure. Enjoy playing dodge the rabbits on exit from site!

We stayed here and had good weather for most of the week. Our tent was pitched in a corner which was lovely and we had an electric hook up. The lady who dealt with us couldn't of been nicer and more friendly if she tried!
The nice play area for the children was excellent and our 2 yr old loved the sand pit.
The wash up and loos where a few mins walk but always clean and tidy
Flexistow isnt the greatest place on earth and the beach isnt walking distance (but we knew this anyway) but we travelled about and visited farm park and orwell as well as having beach days so had a nice week.
For the site itself I highly recommend it - clean and very friendly owners

Our first ever camping weekend with our 2 year old boy and a great introduction. Other campers were all very friendly and the owners are very helpful.
Perhaps we didn't find the right route, but we thought the walk to the sea was more like 25 minutes than 10. Felixstowe has very little sand, so was not that suitable for us with a toddler obsessed by digging! The site catered really well for little ones, it felt very safe and the sandpit and play area was great. I would echo what others have said, the toilet blocks are clean and functional, but could do with updating. I really liked the way the site was lit, I didn't need to use a torch for nighttime bathroom visits, but it wasn't too bright for sleeping. All in all a positive review from us.
Thanks to the Peewit crew for the barn dance, my son loved it and did his own little mini dance with his dad earning himself a round of applause from some of the other guests!

Just returned from an enjoyable visit at the site. The camping area is quite small but secluded. The site is well maintained and the toilet / shower block is a little old but very clean (£10 deposit for the key). There is a sand pit and climbing apparatus for children in the tent area. Bring 20p's for the hair dryer and 10p's for hot washing up water. There is a little problem with the docks as there was a boat sounding it's horn at six in the morning, this only happened once and it would not put me off visiting the site in the future. The wardens are constantly around the site and are very friendly and helpful. This is a lovely site which is very reasonable price wise. Worth a visit.

We have just spent a enjoyable weekend away here clean and tidy campsite and the staff are helpful. The toilets and showers could do with updating not always clean due to some other campers. Our only gripe would be we were put right next to main gate so all the cars was going past us and all times even late at night. But once we closed our doors didnt hear traffic.
Its about a 10 minutes walk to Felixstowe beach nice walk into town with everything you need short car ride to supermarkets.

Just had a full week here and its a lovely site. Very well kept and the staff really great and helpful. Close to all amenities and only a short walk down to the beach and sea front. Only down side is the proximity of the container port. It works 24/7 and at night the sound of containers being loaded/unloaded does carry a little. If you can put up with that its a great site.

Our first camping trip with two children aged 4 and 8 yrs and we loved it! Staff very friendly and helpful, checking we were all set up okay. We had an electrical hookup and we could choose where we wanted to pitch and found an ideal location just a stones throw from the play area, which my children lived in. Many other friendly campers too. Reseasonable cost too. Toilet/shower blocks were clean and never busy, 6 of each and f.o.c showers. Two dishwashing sinks, again never busy, 10p for hot water, just be ready to fill up, encase the tap has not been turned off and once you turn it off, you will need more 10p. But if prepared, 10p is enough for a family of 4/6 people. 10min walk via back entrance to Felixstowe pier (stoney beach)and another 5 mins to shops. Tescos n Iceland there for all your needs. As noone was booked on our pitch we could leave when we wanted. There is a ten pound deposit on the toilet/shower key, which I think isnt a problem, it guaranteed noone but campers using them or abusing them. There is a small theme/play area along the seafront, which charges 3 pound per child to come n go during one day, it is a little old, but the children can jump between rides and you can have a sit down, the bouncy castle there is massive. There is also crazy golf along the seafront near the pier and a Leisure Centre with swimming pool, we didnt use it, but fellow campers recommended it and said it wasnt very expensive. We will certainly visit this site again, as a first camping experience we are hooked. Happy camping !

We stayed here two adults a 5 year old and our Westie. Fantastic place. Had a wonderful 3 night break here. Couldn't fault it. Peaceful and relaxing watching the rabbits lazing in the sun. Shower and toilets spotless. Play area for children great, nice and safe to play could see my daughter from the camper. 10/10 The most important thing to say is the staff were fantastic. On packing up just ready to hitch up and leave the key broke in the lock to which my camper hitches up to the car (sorry but don't know what it's called!) - PANIC! two women and child HELP! went to reception no problem the owner came to our rescue and drilled the lock free and so were able to make our journey home. Thank you Thank you Thank you! Give this site a visit, you will not be disappointed

Our first visit, staff were very helpful, we arrived out of hours and the warden happily helped us. Toilets and showers spotlessly clean, lots of free hot water. Trusting staff, which is nice, they only accept cheques or cash, so did not pay until the last day of our stay. We parked under the trees and wished had not, sticky stuff fell from the trees, but hey the trees were there first!
