I liked this site, but it was most definitely my wifes least favourite CC site to date.
I liked it for it's location as we planned to do 3 days of walking. Well placed for walks, but if it's shops you like then this is not the place for you.
My wife did not like it because of the facilities that were shared with a load of campers on site. The site is leased by the CC site so in the evening when you return in your wet kit, the drying rooms, dryer and washing machine were packed full of wet smelly kit from the campers. The facilities were in poor order.
The staff were not the friendliest as they always seemed under pressure. They were not that busy, but just seemed rather stressed. My wife quizzed the payment and nearly had her head ripped off. Not a good start.
In my opinion I would use it again for the lovely scenery but would be tempted to continue on to the Isle of Skye to set up a pitch

This site didn't disappoint. In a fabulous spot by the 5 sisters mountains on the edge of loch Duich. It is as good as it gets, just stunning. The scenery & walks are everywhere here.
The site has all hard standings, the toilet block did feel as if it could do with updating a little, but other than that, another fantastic week with good weather again.
We visited Plockton, the Isle of Skye, of course, Loch Ness & Glen Affric, Eilean Donan Castle, the glass bottom boat at Lochalsh, & a fantastic walk down Glen Lichd direct from the site.
Also we had a lovely meal at the Cluannie inn about 14 miles from the site. To see those mountains every morning lifted the soul, & it was well worth the 1800 miles I did getting there & back !

One of the most wonderfully positioned sites in the country. Set at the foot of spectacular mountains and at the foot of Loch Duich it's hard to beat the scenery.
The large pitches meant we had no problems with the van, an awning and two cars on the pitch.
Toilet facilities were spotless although if you're positioned at the far end of the site it's a bit of a trudge to them in the pouring rain.
There's a restaurant about 1 mile away and a hotel / bar another half mile or so further on.
Kyle of Lochalsh is the nearest place of any size about 15 miles away, with a Co-op for provisions, and of course Skye is just across the bridge from that.

My husband and I have just returned from three nights at this site. As other reviews say the toilet/shower facilities are very good and plenty of them.
We took a pitch with an electric hook-up of which there is only 4 , however I would not say these are great pitches and rather dark and small. We were next to a large tent and there was no way 4 tents would have been able to pitch in that area. However we were lucky and only 2 tents pitched in the electric hook-up.
The scenery is fantastic and we would give it a much bigger mark if we were in a better pitch. The tent pitches without hook-up are fantastic and would have been better.
Not sure if we would go back with a tent and requiring an electric hook-up. Great for motorhomes and Caravans

Returned to this site again without a hesitation. One of the best sites in the country and up to the usual high standard you would find at a CC site.
Wardens were very helpful and chatty and helped me with a problem I had on my hot water tank.
Fantastically positioned for hillwalking in the Kintail area with many Munros and Corbetts within a stones throw of the site.
We had a day at the small swimming pool in Kyle of Lochalsh and a trip to Glenelg and Gavin Maxwell's Sandaig is within a half hour drive of here.

Walked in with two small tents, two adults and two children, after wild-camp walking across Scotland. What a great site. Friendly reception. Got some basics from wee shop. Pitches were brilliant (as were all facilities). Play facilities were appreciated. Great views, great location - though local facilities for night life understandably limited. Will come again to explore properly.

This is a great site, my family love it and have used it for many years. Set amid mountains, lochs and rivers the scenery is breathtaking. The pitches are large and have plenty of space around them. The toilets are 5 star and there is a small games room in what use to be the old toilet block. If you like walking fishing or just relaxing this is the site to visit its great. You might need to take midge repellent at certain times of the year.

Fantastic site, scenery was beautiful. All amenities were kept lovely and clean and there was plenty of showers for everyone and even had private cubicles. The area around Morvich was fantastic too and only a short drive away from kyle of lochalsh and Isle of sky. Although we had quite a bit of rain and had water coming into the awning it was still a lovely holiday, would recommend it to anyone.

This site is surrounded by the most stunning scenery. Unforuntately due to the planting of trees and bushes to screen the view of the site from the road many pitches have no view at all any more which is a shame. However the site is still very good although extremely busy even during early september - thank goodness we had thought to book in advance.
The facilities on the site are first class and the wardens ensure that everything is kept spotlessly clean and tidy, including the toilets and shows and the water points which are also cleaned everyday.
The Wardens were very helpful and friendly. They even will order you a newspaper everyday and collect it for you if that is what you want.
There are no shops within easy walking distance of the site, but there are two a short drive away. One at Shiel Bridge which is not well stocked although it does have a cafe. The other the petrol station at Inverinate which is actually quite well stocked.
There is also a shop at Dornie which sells a lovely selection of fresh fruit and vegetables. The butchers in the Kyle of Lochalsh sells good quality meat. Everything else you can get in the co-op in the Kyle.
There is plenty to do around Morvich itself. We found that there were lots of lovely walks from the site itself, some quite easy, others more difficult. If you are a keen and experienced hill walker you are spoilt for choice.
We loved a day out to Glenelg and onto Arnisdale and Coran. We recommend a visit to Sheena's tea hut at Coran. Slightly quirky but a fantastic place to sit and have a cuppa and a toastie.

Brilliant campsite. Camping field close to all amenities bathrooms very clean and spacious, plenty of hot water. There is a roofed cooking area which is ample size for most of the campsite to be cooking at once. Very close to most of the hills and mountains you would love to walk in as well as only half an hour drive (if that) away from Skye. Campsite is nicely sheltered from the howling winds that come in off the sea and even though you are in the valley the views are spectacular. Staff very friendly and helped us out with places to go next. Definitely will go back and possibly do more walking.
