We stayed on site on the 29th july we stayed as a couple and a dog.
Wash facilities wasn't great but got us through for what we needed.
The site were we were pithed (tent) was lovley but we were really close to the gravel path so you could here people going to the toilet.
The campsite and pub owners was really nice they made us feel welcome.
And the fox hounds that live nearby they are the only thing that upset our holiday as they woke us up at 12.30 am then again at 4.30am and then at 7.30am there has got to be around 20 to 50 dogs in the pack its a shame really as these dogs have nothing to do with the campsite I was really annoyed by the barking and howling.
Apart from that very nice place would come again once the dogs move on.

Just returned from this site after 2nights midweek, level ground, toilets ok but could be very busy at weekends as only 1 male 1 female & 1disabled, convenient location to Bridgnorth, about 15 mins but there is a pub on site if you wanted a meal, access to the site is easy and the roads in are good, however during busy periods you are not allowed to park your car next to your tent. The other thing to mention is as previously reported the dogs, there are about 50+ foxhounds next door and they do start pack barking through the night along with early morning crows and pidgeons, so if you are looking for peace and quiet through the night it may not be for you.

Booked in to here on a whim. So glad we did. Facilities are excellent. Nice mowed grass, very well tended pitches. The toilet and shower block are excellent and very clean and fresh looking. Very friendly couple own and run the site and public house. Excellent food and wine. As the site wasn't very busy, the children had lots of room to play and run about. What impressed me the most was that we could take our 3 dogs (two being golden retrievers) with us as well. Most sites only allow 2 max. Made the holiday all the better for us as a family. Hoping to come back again in August, as 3 days isn't enough to explore the area properly. The only down side is, if you are thinking of walking into bridgenorth, you have to be a very able person and have no dogs as the styles are no easy challenge. All in all an excellent site.

Just had a great long weekend. Site is not huge, its what you would expect from rural inn. Owner is friendly and helpful and has been know to turn into head chef and a very good one at that, food is absolutely top class and at a good price. Toilets are modern and clean. Have stayed here many times and will continue to do so. Have never had a problem here. Thanks for a great time. Location is good for Bridgenorth and Highley Station on the Severn Valley Line

Stayed at the halfway house inn, just turned up, the owner met us very quickly, a very friendly chap, It's a small camp site, but a very lovely location, not far from Bridgnorth, the Shower was hot and powerful, the Toilet was clean and open all night, there is only one toilet / shower in the block, The camp site is directly behind the pub, which served food, the food was fantastic and I would certainly return again, if I was to be in the area.
Thank you.

What a wonderful site.
We have just had 3 lovely nights here (apart from the dogs barking in the early hours as another poster has mentioned).
The site is a bit on the small side and I can see that this would be quite cramped if it were full but we had a nice level pitch and there was only 3 other caravans - the tent area was very busy, but everyone seemed to have enough space.
The hardstanding pitches were classed as service pitches but only because they had a tap on them. I did not think this justified the extra money but each to their own.
On arrival - the owner made us feel very welcome, he showed us to our pitch that he had reserved for us but let us change pitch as the site was not full. He told us about the facilities which were very clean and basic - there was plenty of hot water for showers and plenty of toilet roll. The washing up area is a sink outside the toilet block which only has cold water so we used our own facilities in the van.
The pub is very old and was like stepping into someones lounge. Prices were reasonable and food looked lovely and seemed reasonably priced. We would probably eat there next time.
Bridgnorth is only 3 miles away and a lovely town. It has a good market on a Saturday and has a good selection of shops.
Ironbridge, Ludlow and Much Wenlock are all within a short drive away so there is plenty to see and do.
We will be definitely returning to this site - hopefully in the next couple of months.

Stayed at this site as near to beautiful Bridgnorth. Quite difficult to get into site for long unit, watch out for the walls in lane ! Quite crowded for our visit as a lot of market traders camped here. Facilities, showers and loos were good, clean and tidy, but the grassed field a bit lumpy. TV reception good. Owner very obliging, and food in pub excellent.

First trip out in the just bought motor home for my wife and I.
Chose this location from UKCampsite.co.uk (excellent site) as it was fairly close to home and situated behind a pub.
Arrived unannounced but was met immediately by site owner and given a guided tour. Service was very friendly and welcoming. As it was mid week we had the site almost to ourselves, however as to be expected we were told that the site gets very busy on Bank Holidays. Pub also has a number of guestrooms making it ideal for non camping friends to visit.
The site and amenities were all spotless and in good working order.
The pub itself is very old and full of character with reasonably priced food being freshly cooked and of excellent quality.
The area is very good for walking and cycling (albeit hilly) with lots of wonderful places to visit.
We will be visiting again and plan to recommend to friends.

We stayed as a party of eight. Four in two touring caravans and four in the rooms at the side of the pub.
The campsite is small and well-kept. Toilet and shower facilities etc. Are fairly good.
The best feature and probably the highlight for us was the excellent food and good beer served at the pub in the evenings.
The dogs, although we heard them, were not a problem for us in a touring caravan.

Stayed 3 nights for bank holiday weekend in our caravan, although owner was informed prior to arrival that it was a twin axle (and could see for himself when we arrived), he decided to put us in the field. It was a very tight squeeze to get in the site and nearly took the side of the caravan out! It took 7 of us to 'delicately' man handle the caravan out of the drive. Not pleasant so if you have a large caravan don't go on the field.
The site although small is nice and clean and the pitches relatively level with both grass and hardstanding available and no extra charges for an awning is always welcome. The food in the pub was good, however 2 members of our party were overcharged by £100 each but this was reimbursed as soon as they were made aware.
Toilet facilities were very clean and modern however only 1 toilet each for Men/ladies and disabled and also 1 shower each. Although these were clean on arrival they very quickly went downhill with the disabled toilet blocked and open sewerage outside and there was never enough toilet paper so please take your own.
There is either kennels or a dog breeder close to and the dogs were very noisy first thing in the morning, started at about 5 a. M. So not very good if you are a light sleeper. It didn't bother us too much as we are early risers.
All in all we had a pleasant stay, Bridgnorth is a lovely place to visit with their leaning tower, Severn Valley Railway was a great place to spend a day and Halfway House Inn a great location. We would stay again but not in the field and we would ensure that we had enough toilet paper.
