This is a small reasonably well kept site behind a country pub.
The wardens are very friendly.
When quite the facilities are adequate but 1 toilet per gender isn't enough when it is busy and cleanliness could also be improved.
Set in a delightful rural location it is only about 5 minutes drive from Bridgnorth and close to other Shropshire landmarks.
This site is ideal for stopovers or short midweek breaks and reasonably priced.

Small friendly site, we arrived later than expected and thought we had missed food in the pub as it was after 9pm. The owner was great, said we could choose the food, set up the van and then eat. Great food with a pint of cider, just what we needed after a pig of a journey.
Toilet block clean, only one shower but it was usually available and hot. First trip out with new caravan, site was brilliant own water and ehu only £20 on hardstanding. If we come back to Bridgnorth will stay here again

Chose this site as I wanted to visit Bridgnorth without the drive which was easily walked to using the public footpath across the fields in about 25 mins.
As previously mentioned the site is attached to a pub which doesn't open till 5 pm, though that was explained on arrival. Thought the pub slightly unusual being no bar but a serving hatch and for me too many tables for eating with too few for a quiet drink, preferred to drink outside in the garden anyway as I wasn't dining.
Site itself was ok, quite friendly, a little on the small side.
On arrival there was no toilet paper but as soon as the cleaner arrived that was remedied and there were plentiful supply's afterwards.
The one shower was good but could have done with a soap dish. Heard the dogs once or twice but didn't bother me.
Nice couple of pints of local real ales in the pub. Paid £20/night for one on a hardstanding pitch with ehu.

We camped here for 2 nights. The owners are pleasant and run the pub attached to the campsite. The pub is very nice and serves good food and real ale. The site area for tents is largely unregulated meaning that there is an element of being too close to your neighbour with overlapping guy lines (not everywhere but this happened to us and this was with the sites approval, we were off site at the time so had no opportunity to object). There is a washing up sink to the side of the toilet block but is not connected to water ! the toilets are ok and everything works but there is only 1 toilet, 1 sink and 1 shower for each sex. There are a limited number of EHU's, we had one, these are adjacent to the toilet block and a very nasty smell kept coming from a drain cover near our tent. The site is very handy for Bridgnorth which is a lovely town and only about 10 mins drive away. No playground for kids so you will have them around you all the time. Lastly there seems to be no noise policy and although most campers take into consideration those around them, we suffered a large group outside our tent who insisted on making as much noise as they wanted, as late as they wanted (after 1am) despite being asked several times by myself and other campers to keep it down. Plus side, very nice area

We stayed for three nights midweek, we found the site to offer everything we were looking for.
Friendly owners, clean facilities, separate field to let the dogs have a run.
Ideal location for touring the local attractions. I recommend a pint of Shropshire Lad for those who like a good pint of bitter.
Although we did not eat in the restaurant we saw meals being served and all smelt very good and had good reports from other guests.

An easy to find site in the outskirts of Bridgnorth, with just a few pitches, some hardstanding, all with electric hookup. There are plenty of fresh water points on the site and a small toilet / shower block. The Site is small, level and the road is blocked from view by the high hedge, however the road is pretty quiet with not that many cars passing. I sat outside all afternoon and hardly really noticed the cars passing.
The welcome was great and we were advised which pitches to use and told the location of all the facilities, where the best place to walk the dogs was and the pub opening hours and food times. We were charged £20 for the campervan and electric hookup, this would have been the same had I been with the whole family and not just myself.
The toilet and shower block, for the men, consists of a sink, one shower and one toilet. They were nice and the clean and the shower was a welcome treat after a weekend on a very wet and muddy field in Weston Park. There was no hand wash in the toilets in the camping field, but there was in the pub toilets. The shower was warm, directional head and you can adjust the temperature too.
The man running the site and the pub was a wonderful chap, very cheerful and entertained us in the evening and had a good old chat. The food was nice, I had the Sunday roast and there was plenty of it and tasty too. The pub serves the usual beers and wines and they have a massive selection of fine spirits too. The following night we ate in there again and the food was delicious, I had the pork, and my brother had the Beef, wow, massive portions and very nice indeed.
There is a large dog walking field, pretty much sealed off near the site and the dogs had a wonderful run in there. There are more walks locally too, near the river, into the town etc. and all only a short distance away.
The lovely picturesque town of Brignorth is fairly near with all the main shops for food, clothes, pubs etc.
I would come back again if in the area.

Site:
Friendly owner and very nice small site next door to pub; about 10 motor homes/caravans grouped together with grass or hard standing – There also seems to be a camping area behind the fence that also shares the facilities
Facilities:
Really nice facilities but let down by NO Paper/Soap or hand dryer – ALSO only 1 of each male/female/disabled which was definitely not enough with caravan site full and also people camping
Free Wifi didn’t seem to work
Out & About:
Restaurant was very cosy & old – had a very good meal here
Fair bit of noise from dogs close by

We were able to get a late reservation and our hosts were very accommodating. Very good and spotless facilities. The site is well located for sightseeing. Plenty of interesting venues including a railway with regular stop-offs. The pub is quaint and well tended with excellent draught beers and a wonderful menu at reasonable prices. There is a games room and a Television room with satellite TV and also free WiFi. A very pleasant break representing excellent value for moey. We will certainly use the Half Way Inn again. Ideal for adults but well behaved children are adequately catered for.

This is a fantastic campsite and a lovely retreat for a few days.
This is our 3rd visit to the site. It is very quiet in the week but most weekends tend to be full, however still very peaceful and all those that visit are very friendly.
The owner and landlord is extreme welcoming and friendly. Haven't eaten in the pub yet but it looks lovely but have spent some ime in the beer garden!
There is a section of the pub which allows dogs inside which is great for all as they are slightly separate from the main bar but us dog owners are welcome to eat and drink with our pet in the warmth when the British weather gets the better of you.
The toilets are clean and tidy, with one shower and toilet for each male & female, with a disabled wet room also which is available. They are open 24 hrs. The only criticism I would have is that there is no soap or hand dryer in the toilets and even when not busy the toilet paper is low so best take your own!
As there is only a few pitches and I am a late riser I have never had a problem or had to queue for the shower or toilet.
Bridgnorth is just a short walk away, which you can do in approx 20 mins. There is a lovely pub called the 'castle' which does great food and allows dogs inside.
All in all this is a fantastic friendly site and it will be one that I return to many times in the future.

Just returned from a 3 night stay. What a wonderful little site. The pub is one of the most cosy pubs ever, and Peter the site owner and landlord could not have been more welcoming. The toilets and shower block is new and spotlessly clean
We walked into Bridgnorth and taxi back. Lots of places to visit Ironbidge with all the museums etc and lots of country walks if that's what takes your fancy. The dogs barking are just the hunt dogs getting fed or being taken out for a run etc, they are not barking all the time, and no problem to us at all. Great little holiday.
