Just returned today from a four night stay at this centrally located site. From the moment we booked nothing was too much trouble. The toilets and showers were spotless and available always.
Set in the stunning Towy Valley with the amazing Brecon Mountains as our daily view, it was fantastic. The shop was well stocked and we were ideally placed to visit quaint local towns, idyllic mountains and heritage is in abundance around every corner. Castles, museums and stunning history all around.
We loved the stream on the site, the play area and the amazing woodland walls. The children and adults in the group had an amazing holiday. We will be back very soon.

Only had 1 night here but wish it had been longer. Lovely couple very helpful and what a great site. Toilets and showers large and spotless, cleanest I have used for a long time.
We have been camping for many years. I would recommend any one touring west Wales to call in you will not be disappointed

Stayed here over the May Bank Holiday weekend, apart from the weather, this quickly became one of my favourite campsites. Very friendly welcome.
Large family tent with my wife and two boys 7 and 2.
The location was excellent, situated Near Llangadog, halfway between Llandeilo and Llandovery, there is a slow moving river winding through the campsite. Perfect to pass the time. If you cross over the small wooden bridge and follow the path through the forest you'll eventually find a very old tree with a rope swing. There's also a park and a grass court with net.
The Toilet/shower block and dishwashing area, although could possibly do with an update, was all perfectly functional. The owners Tania and Stephen do keep these spotless. Always hot water available.
Nothing better than waking up with the bird song and the sound of the river.
Highly recommend this site for getting back to nature and recovering from the daily grind. Will definitely go again.

A great place to stay with children. Child friendly - no s lot machines - no clubhouse. Make your own entertainment - an ideal place to get away with children and enjoy their company.
Owners of camp site were friendly & helpful. Toilets & shower blocks were very clean and well maintained throughout the day. Will be back to visit. Thank you. Bessie motorhome & crew.

This was our first ever caravan trip so we were pretty clueless!
The site was really well kept and provided everything we needed; pristine loo/shower block, and lovely grounds which led directly onto footpaths which were great as we had a dog with us. A well equipped shop made sure you did not run out of anything.
Tanya was there to welcome us and made sure we had everything we needed. She also walked around the site daily catching up with all residents to ensure all was well, a real personal touch.
The location is well placed to go exploring in the Brecon Beacons and for fishermen like us gives access to some good stretches of water that can be fished at very modest cost.
All in all a great trip and I am sure we will be going back now we have 'van' experience under our belts.

We have just spent a fabulous weekend here, Tania and Stephen met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome.
They have already made their mark on the site and improved the access to the pitches and toilet block, and have now made one hard standing pitch for camper vans. The shop has a good variety of fresh and tinned food as well as toys and books to keep the children entertained.
The weather has been typical bank holiday style with the arrival of storm Katie ! Tania and Stephen were always ready with wellies and a smile to help us campers enjoy our stay in very wet and windy conditions.
We will definitely be visiting again. Well done Tania and Stephen keep up the the good work.

End of an era, My family and I have been using this site for over 20 years and had many happy times there. Sadly in May this year David Juster the owner past away after fighting illness for many years (RIP David.
The site has been taken over by new owners and It would be nice to think they will keep the natural charm and beauty of the site.

Helpful and friendly site. Facilities were spotlessly clean with constant hot water. The stream running alongside the site was picturesque and my 9 year old daughter really enjoyed walking through it with her wellies on. It was shallow, safe and full of wildlife including baby eels and fish. The walks surrounding the site were outstanding again with lots of wildlife, woodpeckers and jays were spotted along with weasel nests. The trees were huge with one which was a natural playground with swings on it. The villages nearby were idyllic. There are many footpaths which are perfect and can be easily accessed from the site. We can't wait to go back, longer next time.

Charming spot, friendly helpful owner who sorted out our electrical issue very promptly. As mentioned by others toilet facilities are slightly dated but perfectly functional and clean. We hadn't planned to stay here merely stopped in on a whim on our way home. I can see it would be a perfect spot for families with safe areas for the kids to play in the woods all contained within the site, for us (a couple with a slight aversion to kids) we would probably only stay again outside of school holidays/peak times. The road noise was noticeable which was slightly off putting (especially as we'd be spoiled with hardly any noise the 2 nights prior!) but to be expected given the location. Something to consider for light sleepers though.

First visit to Abermarlais and definitely not the last. An idilic little site, with everything a camper would need. Toilets kept lovely and clean with hot showers whenever required free of charge. Beautiful location with lovely woodland walks around perimeter of site.
Already booked to go again this weekend!
