A lovely quiet site. Mike the owner is extremely helpful & always on hand should you require anything.
Being new to camping its the first campsite that we have stayed at that had a fridge/freezer for campers use, which was a great idea. Nice clean hot free showers.
Indoor washing up area with very warm water. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending people to stay there, and we will be going back ourselves next year when/if the weather improves.
A great location for touring. A bonus for us was all the blackberry bushes nearby!

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay at this site, we cannot add any more positive comments than the previous reviews. We did have aircraft noise for the first two nights but Mike is onto this and is canvassing for it to be reduced with the support of his local MP. It did not go on for long and would not stop us returning, we just thought it should be mentioned for those with very young children.
The amenities are good, showers hot (no hairdryers ladies!) and the loo's clean. Our boys liked the woods next to the site and also we liked the church with the sunflower walk.
Brilliant site, we will be back for sure.

We recently stayed for 5 nights on this lovely site. It is well kept and the facilities are excellent and very clean. The field is on a slight slope but this helps with drainage and even though we had rain during the night a couple of times the ground stayed fine.
Mike the site manager is a gem and cannot do enough for you, he does everything himself and is always there should you need him, even lending us and fellow unprepared campers rock pegs, as the ground was hard and ordinary pegs were no good. He kept visitors well informed with regards to weather forecasts etc.
The site is a mixture of tents, caravans and motorhomes and is in the country but not isolated. It is close to a main road but we had no problem whatsoever with traffic noise.
The area is lovely (try the walk around the fields to the old church). The coast and beaches(Hunstanton, Wells, Brancaster) are only a 20 minute drive away, well signposted and easy to find. Call into Norfolk Lavender on the way on the way to Hunstanton.
Recommend visit to Holkham Hall, huge grounds free to wander around (but you do have to pay to go into the house). There is a lake and a cafe/picnic area with herds of deer roaming around you. We paid only to park the car for the day at £2.50.
We went into nearby Fakenham and found it had all the usual shops and discovered the day we went (Thursday) was market day. It was very busy but the market was excellent (parking tip: try Fakenham Junior School just up the road from Argos, they allow you to park on the playground for £1 all day).
There is a farm shop on the main road, 10 minutes walk from the site and also a cafe. We loved our stay on this site. Some of the sites we have been on, and paid the same rate for, would do well to look to this site to see how it should be done. Will heartily recommend this site and will definitely be returning.

This was the 2nd of 2 sites we stayed at, on our first touring caravan holiday, which we chose based on it's location, and the reviews here.
Location really is great, with easy access, not far from main road.It is set on a single slightly sloping field, so even in heavy rain, it has excellent drainage. It is ideally placed for visiting many of the popular attractions which are all a short drive away.We visited the seaside resorts of Cromer & Hunstanton, Cromer famous for it's 'crabbing' pier, and Hunstanton for it's FunFair, and 'The Wash Monster' amphibious vehicle ride!
The site owner Mike, was an extremely friendly and helpful, even to the point of helping us to reverse and level up the caravan on to it's pitch, which being newbies we really appreciated. He also walked around, and warned everyone about bad weather expected overnight, so he'd be staying on site himself, just in case anyone had any problems.
The pitches are very spacious, so even if the site was full, it doesn't feel cramped or busy, and you'd have plenty of space for your awning & car.He allowed us time to get setup, before the formalities of booking in and payment, when we were given the site rules, lots of useful advice and info on places to visit.
He'd also produced a couple of welcome sheets, with a very useful guide and map to useful shops, doctors etc, as well as some of the local attractions.
We wanted to test and learn how all the things worked on our caravan, so didn't make use of the sites showers, or toilets, but they were clean and tidy, and had 2 showers in each (Mens/Womens).
The EHU is 16amps, so no problems with supply, and the water points are all a short walk away. The disposal point was in a separate room of the shower / toilet block, and was easy to use. This is a very 'green' site, with labelled bins for separating and recycling your rubbish, which I thought was very good.
A couple of people have mentioned about noise, but there is a sort of mini woods behind, which seemed to absorb any road noise, and the wind! as too be honest I struggled to hear any.A few planes flew over at night, no big deal, in fact my son enjoyed watching them, so basically it's very quiet site, with no noisy pubs or clubs nearby.
We had a great experience at this site, despite the weather, and would loved to have stayed longer. The only thing it could benefit from, is perhaps a dedicated children's play area, although there is plenty of space, and they'll enjoy the mini woods.
I'm sure we'll be staying there again when we get a chance, as this site was well located, and offered great value for money.

We only stayed 1 night due to having to leave early as poorly kids but it was lovely and will go back again.
Mike supplied us with some heavy duty tent pegs on arrival which was brilliant as ours wouldn't go through the ground. The place was great and showers were good too. Thought as there were lots of tents I would have to queue for ages but they were empty so a bonus!
Fakenham was a nice town. Had a chinese from the one just as you enter fakenham (next door to budgens which is open till late and sells cold beer!) we had lunch at a lovely smart pub/bistro called the oak, yummy!
The lavender centre was nice too and free, worth a look. Kids liked hunstanton and the sun came out too which was a bonus.

This was the first camping trip for my husband and myself, and we thought ourselves very lucky to have found such a brilliant site. Mike the site manager is so helpful offering to help with the tent and regularly asking if all was well. Facilities were superb with free hot showers and a freezer for ice packs. Always very clean.
Surrounding area is lovely with lots to see all reasonably close. Fakenham is a lovely little town with superb fish and chips! There is a Tesco 5 minutes from the campsite. The low flying aircraft at night were a little unsettling especially at 3 in the morning, and there was some noise from the road, but everything else made up for these little issues.
Not a lot for children to do especially as ball games are not allowed following some accidental damage during the summer. Tried a local pub nearby, The Crown I think, but was made to feel like a social outcast as I wasn't dressed to the nines!
However, The Ostrich in South Creake was lovely with friendly staff and superb food. I recommend the Scampi! All in all we had a great time and will be returning next year.

This is a lovely little site & a great find. Mike the owner couldn't do more for you if he tried, a lovely man. We arrived in our trailer tent, that we have only ever put up twice before & we couldn't get the pegs in as the ground was to stony, so Mike found us a pitch in between the caravans, this was a lovely pitch, huge. With Mike horses backing onto us.
There was some plane noise which were low, but they certainly wasn't a problem. Shower/toilet block faultless. I would like to have seen some plants in the pots near Mikes office & toilet block, as some off them had given up the ghost.
Mike has supplied plenty of bins for recycling, so no excuse not to recycle. The woodland area was fab for my 3 year old to loose herself in her imagination. Would strongly recommend & defo use again, great value

We stayed at this site overnight on a Saturday night. A nice site, very friendly owner who offered to help pitch our tent. Even though we only stayed for one night, he even came round as we were packing up to ensure everything was fine and say thanks again for coming etc.
Good facilities and spacious pitches. Nice and quiet area, although I think you need to drive to get to any local amenities.
If we are in the area again, we would stay again at this site.

First ever camping trip with wife and 2 kids, 5 and 2.
Having spent all my childhood holidays at relatives in the next village, I was looking somewhere close to this to spend our first few nights under canvas.
Mike (owner) was fast to answer emails and was there to welcome us as we arrived. He lent us some rock pegs as the ground was a little hard, and even offered to help pitching the tent as the weather was closing in.
The pitches all have electric hook up and water points are plentiful around the site. The shower block is very clean and the free showers are very hot, with separate facilities for men and women.
The fridge freezer in the 'wash up' room is very handy for freezing ice packs for the coolbox.
Mike is always on site at busy periods and nothing is too much trouble for him, he is very knowledgeable on the local area and always wandering around, talking to the kids and adults and keeping the site clean.
If your looking for somewhere quiet and basic to stay and explore the beaches at Holkham, then look no further.

What a lovely little site. Mike helped us pitch our tent and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The pitch was very big and we had lots of room for our tent and car. The information pack he provided is excellent and it really helped us find our way around the local area. The facilities were clean and the fridge/freezer was a bonus. This was a great place to spend our holiday and we will be back.
