On our arrival Mike was quick to greet us and very organised with the paperwork and giving us a leaflet of useful information and telephone numbers, he also lent us an extension for our electric hook up as ours was too short!
The site was very clean, and nice and secluded with large pitches and central area for drinking water as well as small washing up area with fridge and freezer near the toilet blocks. The toilets and showers were male and female and we never had to queue, although my daughter wasn't keen on the spiders!
There was a little traffic noise fron the A148, however this didn't bother us as the site was peaceful and as it was close to the end of the season and not too busy.
There was a small farm shop close by and Fakenham is a near by town with all the usual shops.
We enjoyed our two nights and would like to have stayed longer

This is a lovely basic site, we were greeted on arrival by the owner who briefed us on site rules and the local area, showed us to our pitch and offered to help us set up.
The pitches are very spacious and immaculate and in a lovely setting, for those without electric hookup, you get a mini woodland behind your tent which offers some privacy when sitting outside.
There is a shower and toilet block, chemical disposal area and washing up facilities. Best of all there is a fridge/freezer which campers can share, this came in very useful in the warm weather. All are immaculate and clean.
There is plenty to do in the local area, with Fakenham, Kings Lynn, Wells, Hunstanton all within about 15 miles of the site
This is a very cheap site - extremely good value would have happilly paid double
The only down side (and this is not the fault of the campsite owners) is that planes fly low over the site in the evening, making a bit of noise

Just spent a lovely 4 night stay here. A small but perfectly comfortable site. Mike the manager is one of the friendliest people I have met and will go out of his way to help you.
As mentioned already the pitches are a generous 32 feet wide, large enough for even the biggest family tent. The shower/toilet block is perfectly acceptable and the provision of a fridge/freezer for campers use is very welcome.
For the light sleeper I would suggest taking some ear plugs, as the close proximity to the main road and the large number of guinea fowl on the farm next door can lead to some early morning wake up calls.
Approx 4 mile from Fakenham which has supermarkets, restaurants and petrol stations, and a short drive from some lovely beaches, it is the ideal location for visiting the North Norfolk coast.
Highly recommended.

What a fantastic Site! We have just got back from a fabulous 5 night stay. The facilities are excellent, hot showers, clean toilets ( which were never crowded), Recycling facilities, ( even the washing up water gets put to great use!) A lovely site, just a few miles from the lovely town of Fakenham and so near to all the great beaches nearby. Tesco & Morrisons in the town, as are Boots, Argos, Superdrug, Dave's Fishing Tackle shop, (and fishing nearby) and a selection of lovely shops selling everything from an apple or a newspaper to traditional toys! Fruit Picking and Crab Fishing are just two of the brill activities we have managed to cram into our stay. Mike, the owner is a warm and friendly guy who is on site each day , any problems are soon sorted, offers of help to pitch your tent too! He also gives you a great map which has all the local amenities marked on. A fantastic place to spend a holiday. Can't wait to book in again!

Spent a long weekend here in June. The site is small & was not busy when we were there so seemed very quiet. The electric pitches were well sized & our Tigris 800, Outhouse XL & car all fitted easily on the pitch. The price of the pitch was also very reasonable & the site doesn't charge for extra tents on a pitch. Facilities would probably benefit from being updated, but were adequate. The site would also benefit a children's playground as there is nothing for kids to do on this site. The information sheet given to us on arrival was a good idea & we found it very useful. All in all a good basic site.

My girlfriend and I stayed two nights.
We found the site to be in immaculate condition, the showers were lovely and hot, plus good facilities with washing up area and a fridge/freezer available.
When we showed up Mike was very helpful, offering his services to help pitch our tent. We were particularly appreciative of the hand out that he gave us detailing local food/pubs/amenities etc. What a good idea.
We also loved the fact it's just up the road from Fackenham which has plentiy of shops etc, and just down the road are North Norfolks golden beaches.
We recommend this site and will definitely be back.

Although we only stayed for one night, it was a perfect spot to base ourselves for a short birdwatching trip. The pitches are nice and large and the facilities were very good for a small site. I stayed with some friends but I will definitely be visiting again with my wife and daughter.

Just returned from a weekend at Greenwoods. What a lovely site. Mike, lived up to his reputation, and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and warm, and the showers were beautifully hot. The site itself is set back in a lovely field surrounded by horses and wildlife. Our pitch was large, although there were some that seemed smaller so I imagine could be quite crowded when full.
There is plenty to do and see locally, with the site being close to the coastal area, so Hunstanton, Cromer, Blakeney as well as Sandringham are all within easy reach. We paid a visit to Brancaster beach one evening. Beautiful beach, although do watch the tides, as the road back from the beach floods during high tides. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay.

What a beautiful site, lovely and peaceful. There is no kids playground, which for us is a bonus! as we have now passed that stage (nothing against children!), there were a few kids at the time we visited but they were very well behaved and played around their own pitches.
Mike is extremely helpful, helped hold poles while we were setting up in blustery winds! The pitches are enormous, 32 feet wide.
Toilets and showers lovely and clean, the showers are also able to be hand held and the temperature is adjustable and NO constant pushing the button to keep the water flowing. Just use as you would at home. There is also a little 'alcove' to hang your clothes while you shower.
Freezer for ice blocks AND two fridges, these are in the wash up area. Loads of VERY hot water and a good large sink.
Pub in nearby village (about 1 mile), think is called The Crown, good food but a bit pricey and (we think) a bit pretentious. The next village (1.5 mile from camp) has a very good Chinese restaurant in The Dukes Head, first time we have encountered a Thai landlord! Other campers told us that The Hourglass (about 2 miles toward Fakenham) is very good, but we did not visit as we ran out of time.
Ideal spot to travel to Kings Lynn, Wells, Cromer, etc. Nice little villages along the B roads.
Calor gas bottles are available from just outside Fakenham, about 4 miles away. Mike has a map of Fakenham so you can find your way about, but please note that the Camping shop on his map has now closed (forgot to tell Mike this!). Supermatket (forget which one) in Fakenham.
There is a farm shop under 10 mins walk, but beware of the closing times, not always open in the afternoon, but was probably too quiet to stay open in April. There is also a cafe right beside the farm shop.
Mike is an active recycler and provides labelled bins at the office/reception area.
Tenters beware of the mole hills! Mike does his best to keep the holes filled, but we and the other tenters were able to pitch ok and as level as possible. Please don't be put off by this, I would hate for anyone to miss this little site.
Would highly recommend this site, and when we have visited other areas will definitely return.

Just spent four nights here at Greenwoods. What a gem of a site, difficult to add to what others have already said, Mike is so friendly and helpful. The facilities are immaculate and the fridge and freezer are such a great idea. Can't recommend this enough. Had a lovely day out at Sandringham and found plenty of lovely walking nearby, one walk leaves directly from the site.
