We have just come back fronm Greenwoods and it is fab , the kids have plenty of room to run around. When you first arrive you are greeted by Mike the site manager, who is very helpful in every way nothing is too much trouble. The pitches are huge, the toilets are always clean with hot water at all times of the day, a recycling point which is fab as we are very keen recyclers, and a fridge freezer that everyone can use (for free ) its a great idea. The site is clean and welcoming and we would definitely recommend it to everyone.

What a lovely site stayed for 2 nights with 2 kids and our dog. It is just a field with a little playhouse and toilet and shower block. It's perfect for a cheap break away. We took our bikes and found a lovely little church which the kids loved looking around. Site manager very helpful will return soon.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Greenwoods, formerly Manor Park, and it was fantastic. When we arrived we were greeted by Mike, a friendly and very helpful Manager. He showed us where to pitch and offered any help needed . We thought we'd manage on our own and then, being new campers (Only one previous camp under our belt) found we had pitched across the edge of our section and the one next door. Mike couldn't have been nicer - he was straight over to help lifting the tent, now fully erected, and resetting in the right place - it took all of 10 minutes, nothing was too much trouble for him - great guy. The site was quiet and idyllic, a gently sloping field edged in trees and bushes, which even after the downpour one night had no standing water or puddles anywhere the following morning. The free showers, toilets and wash hand basins were immaculately clean . All serviced by Mike on a regular basis, as was the washing up room which also offered a free fridge-freezer service. I am actually loathed to put a good review on this site as I'd rather keep quiet about it and keep it for the few in the know but as we visited the site purely on the reviews left by others I felt obliged to do likewise and share our wonderful discovery. A site to which we will definitely return - BIG thanks to Mike for making it such a pleasant place to stay - we didn't want to leave.

This was a last minute booking for a bank holiday weekend, but what a little gem it is! Small site, slightly sloping, in a pretty rural setting. There is a shower & loo block which was kept spotless while we were there, and a single washing up sink, although we didn’t have to queue for it. You also have free use of a fridge and freezer, which is great if you’re in a tent. We found some nice walks straight off site, so the lack of a dog walking area is not an issue. Whilst out we saw hares, partridges, pheasants, geese, deer, a heron, a cuckoo and a barn owl, so it’s perfect for nature lovers. There is a children’s play house and plenty of space for them to kick a ball around. The pitches are a good size, so you don’t feel crowded by your neighbour, even at busy times. Mike the site manager couldn’t have been more helpful. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and we shall be returning!
PS. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, but beware the free range guinea fowl who roam through the site!

We stayed here in a tent in 2004 and I'm glad I've found it again because we want to stay there again this year with our dog. It is a small but well organised site, there are a handful of pitches for your tent but they are generously sized and you have a space for your car alongside it. Plus electric hookup behind. Shower block and toilets were very clean and in good order. Mike the owner is american (ex-army?) a big fellow with a big heart and is very friendly. Site is near a farm with lots of pheasants and other wildfowl and birds, cows, rabbits. Very quiet place with minimal facilities so don't expect raves and parties. One for the adults who prefer a bit of peace.

WOW we were seriously looked after on this site by the owner who went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us.
We arrived much later than planned- the site owner said no problem(this guy is cool) and even came out at midnight armed with torch and wedges to set us up effortlessly with minimum disruption.
The site is small and safe for those with small kids as you can see whole area and only one exit. We really wished we had stayed here for our whole holiday rather than a larger site in wells next sea with no customer service. Toliets were clean.
Although basic this is a quiet site with a camp site "real feel "like we had years ago!GO FOR IT!

Family with 2 children aged 13 and 4 so with different needs! Site manager (Mike) really friendly and helpful both before visit and once there. Found site easily with instructions from website and Mike helped us with our new and stiff tent! We were worried that he might be a bit patronising as we are so inexperienced but not a bit of it! We were given a really good pack of site information and rules as well as places to go. The site has clean toilet and shower blocks as well as a small 'kitchen' area with 2 fridge/freezers and a sink. The site was small but this suited us as we could always see our children as they played with the other children staying. We also liked that several people we spoke to had been before so that's recommendation in itself. Would highly recommend Tham's - the fabulous Chinese restaurant within the Duke's Head pub too. They were packed when we got there but still found room for us and were really friendly with nothing being a problem, even having the 4 year old. The food was glorious. The site is well placed for sightseeing, shopping and beaches. We went to Wells next the sea which wasn't the best beach for sand but had a little railway and nice places to eat. We also went to Bircham Windmill where the girls baked their own bread. All in all a fantastic weekend.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the site and truly cannot fault it. I feel slightly loathed to write such a glowing review as it is such a gem of a place that you want to keep it secret and keep it just for you! The facilities are immaculately kept and the manager Mike is as nice a guy as you could wish to meet. Me and my two lads stayed the first couple of nights and were joined by my wife, daughter and two Greyhounds for the last two nights. The use of a fridge / freezer at no extra cost is a real bonus and one I hope that other sites could adopt. We will definitely be going back at some stage during the next season a great place to be for all that the North Norfolk coast has to offer.

We spent 2 nights at this site and would definitely go back again. It's small and very clean and tidy with really helpful owners. The toilets and showers were very clean and although there was only one washing up sink, the fact that there was a fridge-freezer and second fridge for campers to use was a real bonus.
Whilst there isn't a great deal of space for children to play (there is just a single field) the fact that we were close to such great beaches (Holkham and Brancaster are both stunning and dog-friendly) meant that we didn't spend much time at the site during the daytime anyway. There are wet weather options locally too, but whenever we're in North Norfolk we hit the beach even in the rain!

August 2005 Date of stay 20th August/22nd August My daughter and I very much enjoyed our time here. We were greeted by the owner on arrival,he was very friendly and helpful. We could not fault the site, overall a superb camp site. It is well kept and very pretty. The attention to detail of cleanliness, tidyness, general upkeep is I feel faultless. The heated toilet/shower block was immaculately kept as was the kitchen/fridge and waste disposal area We never seemed to have to wait around or queue for either the loo's/showers or washing up. The site was almost fully occupied during our stay, there was plenty of room for everyone and children could play safely. There is a pretty woodland area to walk through. The site is superbly located for visits to local beaches and surronding villages and attractions. The supermarkets are easily accessable by car either in Fakenham itself or at the Morrisons just on the outskirts of Fakenham.
