We stayed at the Rose and Crown for one night mid week which was only £7 - In August we really thought this was great value!
We arrived at the camp site and were greeted by friendly faces who showed us the options for where we could pitch. There was a toilet block quite close to our tent which I found to be clean, the showers had hot water in the morning and always had toilet paper.
After putting up the tent we went out to see some sights. In reflection we should have planned what we wanted to see and do before we got there as we really struggled to find anything close by to see that interested us. We ended up in Kings Lynn, where we had a nice walk around.
In the evening we went to the camp sites own pub. The staff were so lovely and the locals all very friendly and chatty. They have a great selection of beers and ciders all reasonable prices.
Unfortunately the weather spoiled the trip a bit and really restricted what we could do. If we were to go up that way again we would stay at the same site and after speaking to the staff we have a better idea of what to see and do nearby.

What a fab site, we were greeted by very helpful staff and directed to our pitch without delay. Toilet and shower facilities were basic but very clean and adequate for our needs. The children's play area was very good, there was also a games room with a tv, my little girl was very happy she could catch up on ceebeebies.
The site itself was kept in superb condition, our stay was most enjoyable and would definitely return. There is lots to do in the surrounding areas and supermarkets and shops are a short car journey away.

What can we say, found this lovely little site by looking at reviews and thought we woulg give it a try, and we are so pleased we did. The staff was so friendly we felt we had known them for years.
The food in the rose n crown was lovely and not at all expensive. Ok the toilet block needs a revamp but damn it was spotless and it made a change to have lashings of hot water.
Oh and @£7 a night to pitch you just carnt go wrong, electric hook up was just £2 extra but seeing we was there the one night we didn't bother ( didn't have anything electric to hook up to be honest ).
We had brilliant neighbours and had a lovely time sat chatting and getting a wee bit merry. Just brilliant not much more to say

What a great find.
Lovely, flat pitches next to the strikingly painted pub. Kelvin and Baz went out of their way to make not just us but everyone feel really welcome and also included in the pub's activities. We aren't usually fans of Karaoke evenings, but the fun and spirit that everyone entered into it including all the staff was amazing despite Kelvin's 'unique' singing style. Who is that Alice person anyway?
Not just the friendly spirit, but also great, very reasonably priced simple hearty pub grub as produced by the now famous (infamous?) unnecessarily tall Daz. If you want to see the menu, you see exactly that - the one and only copy of it. Kelvin is also very fussy about the condition of his ale and won't serve you with it if he is not 100% satisfied with it - which, as real ale fans is a distinct plus in our books.
There are several things to go and see near the campsite - but we wound up having so much fun on site, we hardly left the place. With the camping at £7 a night and a decent meal for the same kind of money, we were severely tempted to just not go home.
Highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a whale of a time in great company for incredibly good value prices.

Just got back from a long weekend 3 nights stay at the Rose & Crown, what a gem of a camp-site, friendly does not do it justice, from the moment at checking in by Baz(what a legend) being shown to pitch by Darren (and he is as tall as they say)
The bar staff are second to none, the food is first class, home cooked (the chips are excellent.) Food prices are reasonable and at £9.00 per night including Electric hook up make the site a great place to camp.
The site is a bit of a way out the nearest shop is about 3 miles but even that doesn't distract for what a great site this.
We are going back in a few weeks with family and friends and can't wait.

This site and owners and staff are great, nothing is too much trouble, they are so helpful, I really rate them the tops. I have a tourer Bessacar 21ft with all modcons, I hooked up to theire electric, I found that the price was reasonable. I also found there ablutions reasonable and clean. The bar staff were great, also their chef Daz was brilliant the food was fresh and cooked well.

My husband and I have just returned from a two day break at the Rose and Crown and it really is a super site.
The family that run both the site and the pub could not do any more to make you welcome, nothing is too much trouble and the atmosphere is safe and friendly.
The pitches are all level grass and there are plenty of electric hook up points. The loos are spotless and the garden area and children play area well maintained.
Saving the best till last, what a great meal we had in the pub - home made chips and most items on the menu also home made, my steak pie was best ever and coupled with a couple of pints of draft pear cider - the perfect evening.
Site fees very reasonable £12 with hook up in June and no pressure to clear off site or lots of rules and notices about what you can and cant do just a very friendly welcoming site run by friendly people.

We visited the Rose and Crown in mid May just for a night and it was fab!
A complete bargain at £7 per night(for our very very large tent no extra cost), we didn't have electric hook up as only there for one night but it was only an extra £3.50 I think anyway.
On arrival we reported to the pub as instructed and the nice man showed us to our pitch (which was basically wherever we wanted) and we got pitched and sorted.
We checked out the toilet facilities which were basic BUT clean and adequate. There was also a sink fr washing up outside the block too.
There is a little children's play area by the pub and a games room for the kids too with pool table, tv etc. Our son played rounders and hide and seek all afternoon/eve though with some other kids he made friends with on the site!
We went into the pub in the evening for a couple of drinks and it was really friendly.
Would definitely visit again for a night or 2.

We visited recently in a non electric tent with our dog.
I was greeted by a great guy called Baz, and shown to our pitch. He came out frequently to see if we needed help and to explain the location of shower block etc.
We went in for a lovely home made meals and gorgeous homemade baileys cheesecake (don't drive after that, very potent but great). They have karaoke on fri nights which was good fun
Lovely site they are in the process of getting more shower blocks and toilets built as not many at moment.
Great area, tallest windmill in moulton close by, baytree garden centre down road, biggest in britain,
Stayed till Monday only left two days early as ran out of money.
I'm just glad that we were there for Sunday lunch I had lamb, partner had beef, the yorkshire puds were amazing!

Still full from the wonderful Sunday lunch cooked for us by the unnecessarily tall Daz - the chef at the Rose and Crown!
What a wonderful welcome we had at this family run pub - we were made to feel like 'regulars'.
Great place to stay with all the usual amenities - nice, flat pitch for the tent and well away from busy roads. Despite 'work in progress' in the toilet / shower block, it was still clean and with a plentiful supply of hot water.
We're already planning our next visit - hoping to bring some friends with us to enjoy the hospitality.
