What a brilliant 3 nights camping we had (you lot are mad) Joking aside Janet, Kelvin, Daz and Baz and the locals made us feel so welcome. The site has all you need, the price £7 a night is so good. We danced and sang the night away even had a tab at the pub. Cant wait to come again

As first time campers we had a lovely couple of nights at The Rose & Crown, the staff were very welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay here. The toilet/shower block was basic but ok for a couple of nights, plenty of hot water. The pub grub & ales were great!
Only went into Holbeach, nice little town has a Tesco for your shopping! Did plenty of walking with the dog around Holbeach Hurn the roads were very quiet, ideal for walking.
Will return again! Many thanks to all the staff & regulars for making our stay such fun.

This a a little gem of a site! We had an amazing weekend in June. One of the friendliest sites we have ever visited!
Electric Hook-up ideal for tents and caravans - very flat and sheltered, particularly in the lower field. Clean toilet block - plenty of hot water.
The pub serves real ale and the food is excellent value for money. There is a pool table and a lovely beer garden.
Holbeach Hurn is ideally located for visiting both Lincolnshire and Norfolk. King's Lynn & Boston are 20 mins drive away - Hunstanton a little bit further but worth a visit.
Thanks to Baz & Daz for making us so welcome - we can't wait to return next year!

We stopped on this site over the bank holiday for three nights and must say the staff are all as mad as a box of frogs, what a good time we had. We was made welcome from the start.
The site is not a 5* one, old toilet blocks, only a swing / slide for kids, but they are making moves to improve it and if they do what they have planed it will be very nice.
The pub has nice food and the price is good too
Kelivn/baz and the others made the stay a very good one and helped out with getting some fishing sorted out for me (thanks again)
We will be going back and with some friends next time

You will either love this site or hate it and other reviews give you all the reasons to love it - birdsong, friendly staff and visitors (but this week-end we were the only non-residents) - good local village pub with real ale (Elgoods and it is well kept, but not my favourite) excellent food and excellent service.
Not so good bits? Tired toilets and showers that must be up-graded soon. Large statics that almost litter the pub grounds - but when the leylandii grow this will be screened! The site is miles from anywhere and so it is not a really good touring centre, unless you like to commute the A17.
Overall? We had a good week-end - the site was alomst empty. Saturday we did instant bbq and sunday we eat in the pub. During the day we went off to the mouth of the river Nene and Peter Scott walk along the edge of the nature reserve.
So we came home feeling relaxed and with fond memories of our first camping trip together with friends.

Lovely weekend. We were made most welcome by everyone. The food was really nice and hot so we knew it was fresh. The pitch was nice and flat and I'm sure if we had problems setting up they would have all been more than happy to give us a helping hand. Hope to see them all again.

Just got back from a great few days at the Rose and Crown. Lovely site, nice and quiet and very helpful people. Kelvin is very funny when you get talking to him and has a great sense of humour. There was plenty of room for the caravan with awning and close to the toilet and shower block, which are quite basic but clean and lashings of hot water. We had a meal in the pub and it was very tasty and well priced. Our daughter loved the swings and we could sit and have a beer in the garden while she played. We will definitely be going back.

Only our 2nd trip out in our motorhome so novices to say the least. A more friendlier bunch of people you could not wish for. 'Del boy' (Kelvin) and Janet perfect hosts. Excellent and reasonable priced food served in the pub created by Daz and Baz made sure we were introduced to all the locals. Basic but adequate amenities, very clean and plenty of hot water. The site is quite flat and is kept really tidy. This is an up and coming site and if all goes to plan should be a very successful one. We will definitely visit again later this summer.

This is a very subversive establishment.
Be aware that, having arrived, it is very difficult to leave and our overnight stay became three. The overwhelming friendliness of both staff and customers is the main cause of this. No effort was spared to ensure we had everything we needed.
The pub has reasonable food reasonably priced. We can recommend the meat puddings, also the excellent naked salad(!) They keep a good pint, it's an Elgoods house.
Outside the field is largely flat, there is access to power and water. The outside toilet / shower block was spartan but clean. The inside toilets were very clean and had been recently redecorated.
Bicycles are very useful, the pub is remote and the nearest shop and other pubs are several miles away.

What a site! What more could you ask for - peace & quite, clean toilets & showers (albeit a bit basic), plenty of space and a PUB! Kelvin, Janet and Baz are so friendly and make you feel welcome the moment you step foot onto the grass (which needs cutting by the way ha ha).
With Holbeach only approx 4 miles down the road with Tesco's and various other shops, this site is worthy of a visit - a good base to explore the surrounding areas or just to chill out with a pint (or two!).
A trip down to the wash and the RAF bombing range is a must see and there is a great shop on the way which serves hot breakfast baps & tea / coffee.
