What a gem of a site. We had 3 days here and loved every bit of it. Everything is clean, tidy and very well kept. The owners are very welcoming and love to talk and show you around. Every pitch is flat. Evrything is lcose for water etc. 16amp hook up. In the country side. A few hundred yards down the road is the wheelgate adventure land. White post farm park. White post pub. Love this site and would defo go back soon. The only down side is the toilets and showers. There just not enough of them. There's a bmx track for the kids, a dog walk and loads of farm animals to see.

Wow. What a lovely place. Very very friendly owners. Great shower and toilet block. Very clean and nice hot water. Loads of room for kids to play. My son loved the bmx track at the end of the field.
The two things I found annoying was there was a strange clicking/ticking throughout the night. Cant hear during day but only at night. Dont know if it was from farmers field. But very annoying. Poss from the farmers field watering system. It is like the one you get on golf course but bigger. Any way the other was the gun club which sounded like it was next door. Me and my son went swimming so didn't mind to much but if you want to stay on site all day it can get a bit annoying. Shower hot water takes 20p per 2 mins I think. So 60p done me fine so take some change. If not the owner had change. What more can I say. I would def go back.

Wow! This is a gem of a site, nice warm welcome, emergency shop, nice and quiet, small, great facilities - have seen far worse on bigger sites. Nice and quiet, far enough from the main road you cant hear the traffic, 2 pubs within walking distance. All in all a great site, cant wait to return. Showers and hot water in the loo's 20p a minute (So take some with you!) Shower was great, most of all - clean!

We stayed at this site for 5days. Had a lovely time. The toilets are very clean and tidy as is every thing else. The showers are really good and at only 20p for 4mins are good value for money. The location is perfect for touring Nottinghamshire. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be returning.

This is a nice site but needs better facilities. We recently stayed over the bank holiday weekend and only booked a couple of days before. The price seemed quite reasonable at the time, until I read some reviews and realised that showers were extra! The facilities really are pretty woeful, a couple of tiny portacabins with only one shower for men and one for women. I realise it is only a small site but that just isn’t enough. They are well appointed though, enough hooks and somewhere to sit to dress. The showers take either a 20p or £1 coin. 60p was enough for me, had to waste quite a bit waiting for it to warm up and after that it was very temperamental heat wise. They were kept very clean though.
There is a small bmx track at the bottom of the field, which amused my two children. Sadly there is no swing or play area. They enjoyed seeing the two horses who have a field around which the pitches are laid out. Little bit disconcerting at 3am to hear a horse thundering up to the fence right next to your tent!
The washing up area is nicely done, with a fridge and a freezer for those without EHU and a plug for charging up phones etc.
All in all we had a good time, but the high price does lead you to expect more from the facilities which then makes them more of a letdown.

This site was our first ever camping experience and we really didn't know what to expect, however, we will definitely be returning. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We had 6 children with us and they were in their element looking at all the animals on the farm and playing with the kittens. We took a BBQ although upon arrival we noticed that for £5 each we could have had home made curry, rice and naan! We wish we hadn't have bothered but will learn from this next time.

We have been staying on this site for the past month 'running in' our motorhome before embarking on our European adventure. Right from the very first phone call we have had nothing but friendliness and helpfulness from the lovely owners.
The site is tucked away in the beautiful Nottingham countryside and is kept pristine by Martin the owner who works so hard to keep it that way.
If your looking for a small, well maintained friendly hideaway you won't go wrong coming here!

My wife Teresa and I spent four nights at Lurcher farm, the site is well kept and maintained. The pitches are very wide with a few having a gravel area.
The site is right next to The Robin Hood Way, which begins at Nottingham Castle and ends at the church in Edwinstowe.
The showering and toilet facilities are very clean, to take a shower cost 20p for two minutes, I am a 60per, while Teresa is a 20per.
The two guys who own Lurcher farm offer homemade jams, icecream, cookies and curry, the curry was very tasty and cost us £10 for a curry, rice and nan bread each.
We really enjoyed our stay and will be going back at some point.

This is our fourth visit to this wonderful site. It is very peaceful and beautifully run. The pitches are very large as well. Everything is so well cared for, spotlessly clean and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. There are a couple of supermarkets in the local town nearby but Martin does have food on offer as well. They also sell lovely fresh eggs which are delicious. A true delight to visit.

My fiancé, my 11 year old cousin and myself had a wonderful 5 nights stay here. It is a very friendly, clean, neat and tidy site. We arrived to a friendly welcome to some very cute kittens! Enjoyed a tasty homemade curry the first night. It is in a brilliant location to explore Sherwood Forest. There are also many other activities near by. We never travelled more than 20 mins to get anywhere and did something different each day. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for a small, quiet friendly site. The BMX track is great fun. Will definitely try and take our bikes next time. We plan to go back next summer and are going to take the whole family with us. One little tip if you are planning to stay there is that you definitely need at least 4 mins for a shower. 2 mins is not enough.
Keep it up guys. You both work so hard and it is really worth it! :-)
