Lovely clean site. Martin is very friendly and welcoming. Although dogs should be on a lead he allowed us to run our dog off the lead in the field next door.
Although there is only 1 toilet and shower room its kept immaculate and there is another toilet block in the process of being plumbed in. There's 2 washing up sinks and always plenty of hot water.
Cost us £42 for 3 nights (ehu, 2 adults, 1 child and a dog)
Southwell is a lovely town only 10 mins away (there is a hardware shop there that sells calor gas). At the end of the road is a pub that does food, children's theme park and petting farm, all within walking distance. Co-op foodstore is only 5 mins drive and there's a big asda 20 mins away in Arnold.
Got 100% TV signal. Some lovely views from the site as well.
The only slight downside, and it is very slight is the wi-fi (@ £1. 50 a night) is so slow its almost unusable, but this is such a minor issue its not worth worrying about. We will definitely visit again.

This is a nice little campsite not to far from Worksop on the A614 road easy to find. Only one shower but very nice and clean and plenty of hot water. The owner is very friendly and fitted us in at a minute's notice. The site is peaceful just right for a quiet weekend. A lot of really nice views from our caravan. I would return to this site again. Just 2 hardstanding pitchers, and lots of grass pitchers all have electric hookup. Also pot washing sinks and a fridge under cover. All in all you sould have a good time. Co op and shops 5 minutes away from camp site in a car to far to walk. Near wheelgate children's park and white post farm all within a car ride.

A wonderful hidden place in the rural part of Nottinghamshire. The layout is perfect and it has everything a camper or a caravanner needs.
The location is sign-posted on the main road and you can not miss it. Very clean and very well maintained.
The staff is very friendly and they make you laugh with their funny comments. I was surprised when one of the staff asked me if I wanted anything from the supermarket as he was on his way shopping, which is a really nice gesture.
I would recommend it to everybody.

Just had another visit to this site. The new owners have made many improvements in such a short time. They give you a warm welcome and so do the two little dogs.
It is a lovely site with 16amp electric hu, fridges for campers, washing up facilities, toilet and free showers(the owners say they are hoping to have a disabled toilet and shower block for next year)this will be welcomed by the more mature campers and caravanners.
The site offers curry and rice plus nan bread for £5. 00 decent portions too(which is brilliant if you've been out all day. )
There is a couple of places to visit with children. White post farm and Wheelgate which is in walking distant.
Southwell is about 10mins drive and have a co op a market on saturdays and many little shops to browse. The minster is a must to visit, the workhouse is also interesting.
We will be returning to this lovely site

We've been to this site several times now and are made to feel very welcome.
The facilities and site are always immaculately clean and the location is excellent.
Surrounded by fields with public footpaths and within walking distance of Wheelgate and White Post Farm this site is ideally located. Thoresby market and hall are located 10 miles away with Clumber and Rufford Parks on the doorstep.
Plans for the future include further shower and toilet blocks (although weve never had to queue for the existing one)and a children's play area (there is a BMX bike track already on site)
The hospitality extends to home baking which includes cookies, cakes, smoothies, chili and curry to name a small selection.
I would recommend this site for being quiet, friendly and local. Although only 30 minutes from Nottm city centre it feels a million miles away.

Just got back from this site after a short Bank Holiday stay.
I saw this site on the UKCampsite.co.uk website, and seeing that there were no reviews and it was close to home, we thought we would give it a go.
I phoned the number and site owner, Martin, was very pleasant and helpful. The site was about 75% full, but he could accommodate us quite comfortably.
The site is between Mansfield and Southwell close to Rainworth and Farnsfield. It is very handy for the White Post Farm and Wheelgate Adventure Land.
The entrance to the site is near a bend in a 60mph road close to a blind summit. Indicate early if approaching from Mansfield! The owner tells me that he is having bigger signs made shortly.
First impressions of the site are great, nice short grass, beautifully manicured planters and hanging baskets, clean facilities and large pitches, all in. A well maintained site.
Martin greeted us on arrival and offered us a choice of two pitches. He told us that he has only had the site a short while and that he is improving things as he goes along.
There is only one shower / toilet for the whole site, but this is only temporary as a new block is due to be built soon. The toilet and shower is spotlessly clean, and remained so throughout our stay. There is a large undercover pot washing area complete with washing up liquid, two fridges for use by all, and patio furniture to sit at if the weather is foul.
As I said the grass is lovely and short, our pitch was nice and firm for the tent pegs, but not too rocky. Most pitches are nice and level. There are picnic tables for you to sit out if the weather is good and there are a couple of BBQ's you can borrow if you wish. There are semi mature trees surrounding the site, which offer a good amount of shelter.
Currently, there are no play facilities for children, but there is a cycle track at the far end of the site with jumps etc (looks like an old BMX track). There are some nice walks into Sherwood forest near Blidworth, and the National Cycle track runs near by on an old disused railway line.
Local attractions include:- Southwell Minster (15min) Mansfield town centre (10min) White Post Farm and Wheelgate Adventure Land (3min) Rufford Park (15min) Clumber Park (25min) North Leverton windmill (30min) Sherwood Forest and Major Oak (20min).
Currently, there is no shop on site, but Rainworth village centre has all the amenities you need (4min drive).
When you depart the site, please take care when turning right especially if you are towing a caravan! The entrance is just after a bend on a 60mph road just after a slight, but blind summit! Please be careful.
All in all, a well presented well cared for site, in the heart of Sherwood forest near to more attractions than you could shake a tent pole at. Friendly owners too. We WILL return without a doubt!
