We stayed for 2 nights with 2 dogs at Woodhall Spa. Very helpful warden guided us to pitch and helped me reverse the trailer into position - very patient! Site soon filled up but still a decent amount of room between pitches.
Dog walk is incredibly tiny - it's not so much a walk more a very small patch of woodland (and I mean small - 10m x10m). That said the lane is very quiet and most dog walkers were seen ambling up and down outside the campsite!
The amenities block does the job, very clean, plenty of loos and sinks but only 3 showers so to avoid the queues you need to shower in the dead of night.
Woodhall Spa has all the usual shops and is quite a nice historic town with lots of references to the RAF.
A lovely small campsite and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

We stayed here just after the Easter bank holiday weekend, two adults, two teenagers and a dog. Having stayed here once before we had an idea of the layout of the site.
We had booked a hard standing pitch (which are all at the bottom of the site in the wooded area) and we found a pitch not too far from the block.
During our stay we never had to queue for the showers at all (there are only three for each sex) but I can imagine there could be quite a queue in busy periods.
We visited a few places around the area including Tattersal Castle, Boston and Skegness - we also managed to find the lovely cake shop in Woodhall Spa itself, however there is an equally good fish and chip shop there too. We will be returning to the site again.

Had a lovely and relaxing mid-week break, the warden helped out when we had electrical issues with the van too, not too many local places to visit accepted dogs but that was their loss not ours, the bun shop in woodhall spa was a joy and everyone we met was friendly
The woodland walks near the site were excellent, also the warden will tip you off about the pub just down the road (bit too far to walk tho) which serves wonderful food ( I can recommend the mutton, mmmmm joyous).
Could do with a sign as you leave the main road as it looks like your turning into a side street but the road goes on for a mile or so before you see the campsite turning, but all in all a lovely site and we would happily stay again.

We love this site and visit at least a couple of times a year. On site staff / wardens always friendly, helpful and polite.
The site is very pretty and well kept. Most if not all pitches are level and well drained. The shop is quite sparse and I think there is an opportunity being missed here as the nearest shops are a drive away. We've been in both the main part of the site and the annexed field, the latter being a little exposed if the weather is rough. We haven't, as others have said, found the wardens to be overly strict and we've never experienced any antisocial behaviour.
The facilities are up to expected C&CC standards. When the main toilets are closed for cleaning there are alternatives available - a clever touch that other sites could learn from.
The area has a strong WW2 RAF history and there are plenty of aviation related sites of interest nearby.
The town of Woodhall Spa is a marvel. Think of an Edwardian spa town that has somehow managed to stay true to it's era.
We haven't had the pleasure of the cake shop mentioned by other reviewers and I'm secretly pleased - it sounds to be a very dangerous place.

We really liked this site and were surprised to read some of the negative reviews. That said, we did fit into the couples with no children and pets category which is where others seemed to have the problems so maybe we would reconsider returning when we have the kids in tow.
We had a warm reception and the warden gave us the choice of a couple of pitches, one amongst the caravans in the first field which would have been closer to reception and facilities or the one that we chose which was in the back field in a corner near the road.
We were very happy with the location of our pitch and felt quite secluded, private and quiet which suited us just fine. Although our area was very open, there was a nice woodland section toward the back of the site that was very pretty but all hardstanding so suitable only for caravans which is a shame.
The facilities were clean and tidy and in a decent state of repair and in a very picturesque setting. There were ample wash up sinks and toilets but not really enough showers for the size of the site. Lucky for us it was a quiet time of the year but I still had to wait for one to become free so I wouldn’t fancy it in peak season. There’s a lovely pond at the centre of the site which creates a nice setting.
We found plenty of walks and cycle routes straight from the site which we loved, one in particular was at the end of the road that leads to the site, a nature reserve which was lovely to ride around and we took some detours through woods etc and came out in Woodhall Spa itself which is a lovely town albeit not much there.
We cycled and walked to the nearby pub, quite a long walk mind you but no time at all on the bikes. There’s no streetlighting though so if you go in the evening be sure to take a torch. The pub was closed on the Monday and only served food at certain times so best to check that if you’re wanting a meal out.
There is a chip van on a Friday night but we didn’t try it. The reception is said to be a shop also but it’s very sparse so either go prepared or the nearest shop is probably Budgen’s in Woodhall Spa about 3 miles away but it’s a great supermarket.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. We will definitely be returning.

The staff were very helpful in guiding us with our unit into place so that you are fairly level to start with but otherwise seemed to be rather regimental. I would advise visitors with children to read through the other reviews.
The site pitches are nice around edges of the park with plenty of room but we were designated to the centre of field 2 we felt uneasy on this pitch with cables sprawled out and Wifey felt we were parked in the middle of a roundabout.
The facilities on site are good and clean at all times of the day but they closed for far too long for cleaning so mostly we used our own unit.
The children’s high fenced small play area (stalag Woodhall Spa) is next to the dog-walk not such a good idea or healthy me thinks. A bigger dog walk is needed for this site, we did find somewhere further down Wellsyke Lane to dog walk, I understand that there are other longer walks from Moor Lane.
I understand that there are several WW2 sites of interest in the area, but I doubt if they accept pets, but please do investigate for yourself.
We did find the Friday night mobile chip-van good value the lady even threw in an extra sausage so it was worth the wait in the queue
Woodhall Spa is a very pleasant village to visit with several interesting nooks and crannies.
There is a very good Budgens in Woodhall Spa about 3 miles away.
You should also visit the cake shop, be warned you could go home ½ stone heavier.
All in all nice small site but just seemed to lack the friendly something!

Just spent the bank holiday weekend at this site with our 4 kids aged between 11 and 16. We had a great stay, weather was on side and site really nice.
The staff were helpful and even helped push our unit into place!
This is a really pretty site, well laid out and a nice distance is kept between units on site which is nice.
The facilities on site are good, in terms of loo's etc clean at all times of the day but they shut between 11.00 and 12.30 for cleaning, there are alternative facilities for the loo at that time so don't panic. The showers were nice and loads of hot water but be aware that on a busy weekend you will queue as there are just 3 showers. The shop is small and stocks basics but as there are a co-op and budgens locally not a problem really.
Nice walks on and off the camp site and a great area for a bike holiday.
We only live in Lincoln so know the area well, Woodhall is a nice small town, not loads to do but the local lido is popular and our kids spent 3 hours there every day! Tattershall Castle is local as well although we didn't manage t make it this weekend.

What a lovely site, Friendly staff who showed us to our pitch , beautiful setting so peaceful in among the trees. Toilets and showers were very clean, a bigger dog walk would be an advantage.
It's a nice walk to Woodhall Spa which took approx 1 hour. There were a few nice coffee shops and Budgens supermarket was very good. There were plenty of places to eat including several Chinese takeaways.

This was our first site used since purchasing our unit, ideal for our first test being close to Lincoln.
On arrival we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and they took us to our pitch after we had chosen which one we wanted (we had a choice).
Our pitch was huge, it appeared that although the electric hock-ups next to us were being used these units were actually in the field next to us giving us even more space, an added bonus especially having three dogs with us.
The surrounding area is very good, ideal for dog walking, along with woodhall spa just being down the road should you need to visit the local shops.
Facilities on the site were good, although I got the impression the female toilet/shower blocks were better than the male ones after speaking to our friend who stopped with us for a couple of nights.
Would highly recommend this site if you prefer peace and quiet, although families were present when we were there, little noise was heard.
The hard standing pitches looked nice as these were further down on the site surrounded by trees and two small lakes.

I read all of the reviews before visiting this site and agree with the majority of points which have been written.
Myself and my extended family booked two pitches for a two night stay here. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception who was very welcoming.
Due to our tent sizes we were told that we couldn't have EHU which was disappointing but not the end of the world.
Outside the reception my brother who was in the first car was directed to the field in which we were placed and given a general welcome etc.
Upon looking in my car the gentleman did not give us any welcome but spotted my four children in the car and spoke only to say that did we realise there were no ball games to be played in the field! Not the best start and welcome but in all fairness he did look quite busy with arrivals etc.
Our pitches. We were not impressed with our pitches at all. We were given no choice about where we could pitch and were placed slap bang in the centre of the field. It was a very windy spot and we almost didn't bother staying to set up as it was so bad, and we felt very exposed. We did stick it out and wind-wise it did get better. It did feel like we were very separate from the rest of the park being situated in the field and having a longish walk to go to the bathroom and get water etc.
The other parts of the site are really lovely, there is a pond with the most fantastic fish which you can feed, my children (and hubby!) enjoyed doing this.
The toilets and showers were very clean, however in the ladies block there are only 3 showers and I had to wait behind 5 people (plus the 3 already using the showers) who were in front of me and some other site users were complaining about the wait. To be honest when using busy sites you do expect a wait for a shower so I don't feel it was a major problem and it wouldn't put me off.
I think that this site is not one aimed at families with children. There were other campers pitched nearby who allowed their boys to play with a bat and ball, they were told to stop playing personally I really couldn't see the harm they were doing and I must admit it put a damper on my children's stay here too because there was no place for the children to play. There was a designated spot for them to play games on but it was very very small and next to the pond and dog walk (which was also tiny) so not the safest of places for young children to be playing so mine didn't bother and neither did anyone elses children from what I saw.
There are some very nice walks to be had in the surrounding area with lots of wildlife my children made friends with some grass hoppers which kept them interested and amused for a while!
We visited the car boot sale which was situated in the field behind the Jubilee swimming pool in Woodhall and were lucky enough to have decent weather allowing us to go swimming in the outdoor pool there, which was very cheap costing us just over £6 for the whole family!
To sum up this park in my opinion I would say it's a lovely site if you are of a certain age with no children, not one for the younger generation.
