We felt virtually the same as the Pickersgills. We have two very small dogs (Dachshunds) and they found the long grass over the road difficult to cope with, and of course they can always get out at night under the flaps.
We were quite happy with the facilities, but they are at one end of the site, people without dogs have a lot further to go, past all the 'doggy' owners.
The area is gorgeous, we never visited any large towns. If you don't go anywhere else visit Southwold!

Lovely, peaceful site. Booked after reading reviews here, we were not disappointed. The site was well maintained, the owners obviously take pride in their site. In fact it was so quiet we felt we had to whisper when chatting over a cup of tea so as not do disturb the fishermen! :o)

Wonderful location with two large ponds.........one only to feed the fish the other to catch them.....however if you take a dog with you it is not allowed to go fishing with you (this is not stated on the information leaflet). Shower block basic but clean and adequate. Area very well kept ... the world's supply of cockerels nearby who give you a VERY early alarm call some mornings....like 1.30 am. You cannot walk the dogs in the campsite - you have to take them across a busy main road to the common (you try telling a dog it has to wait!). Would we go again??? Yes if the rules on dogs were eased. We don't want dog mess everywhere either.....but if everyone cleans up after their dog (as we do) there would not be a problem. Gary and Kay
