Apologies to wardens Paul and Ann for taking so long to post this review of, what was, a thoroughly enjoyable midweek camping break. It was quiet, relaxing and really allowed the batteries to recharge. This is an adults only gem, as far as I'm concerned - spotlessly clean and well maintained and the weather was very good too, allowing us to sit out late and enjoy the P&Q even longer. Nice walk around the lakes and a feel of being away from it all, despite the proximity of civilisation. Well placed for visiting other parts of Norfolk and Suffolk, and served by a lovely little tea shop and Post Office across the road. And a decent pub nearby.
The only downside is that since Paul's detailed and helpful guidance on caravanning, this particular trip might be costing me a few thousand more than I originally intended - my wife has gone from 'not sure' to 'must have'. Hope to be towing it in to Honeypot next year! Thank you again - I'm spreading the word!

Well that's our forth visit to this site.
We had a lovely bank holiday weekend stay here. But then that's just what I expect. The Wardens was cheerful and very helpful. They even found a lump of wood to put under my caravan wheel to help me level it up.
If you want a little gem of a site to stay on you will not be disappointed. The toilets are basic but are kept clean and tidy at all times. The hook up up worked fine, which is more then I can say for another site I have stayed at this year. Now that under 16 are not allowed it makes the Adult site even more attractive to me.
Oh yes we will be going back to this site soon.

I can't believe the last few reviews I have just read about this site ! We have just come back from here today after visiting this site on a number of occasions. Paul and Ann the wardens are just lovely they are so helpful and nothing is to much trouble. Toilet blocks are spotless also showers and washing up area. On one of the reviews it mentions about children passing a ball to each other we were actually there on that occasions and they were in fact teenagers kicking the ball across other people's pitches and could quit understand why the warden spoke to their parents about this. People need to respect others and keep their children under supervision. The fishing is just great and in our opinion this is a well maintained and well run site that we would always go back to and we're so glad it's now an adult only site. Thanks again Paul and Ann and keep up you good work.

A quiet site with a very warm welcome from wardens Paul & Ann.
Toilets old but extremely clean and never short of toilet roll.
We had a lakeside pitch with electric which was great - nice and close to the toilet block too.
We took a short stroll across the road to the Post office / tea rooms for a cooked breakfast.
We will return.

Very neat and tidy park. Lots of room and the fishing lakes are a nice feature.
Facilities are clean, if rather dated. I agree that they could be upgraded.
Rather a lot of rules & regulations - there is a sign on this site for nearly everything, which was slightly off-putting; however it comes (I think) from the owner's desire to keep the site tidy and ordered.
Very friendly couple in charge, nice environment.
We stayed with our little girl (3) who found the play equipment very old an uninspiring (should be removed or updated really).
Shame they seem to have gone Adults-only now.

An Honest review and assessment. The two wardens were excellent, friendly and kept the facilities spotless. Now that's the nice bits over with. This is a field with two fishing lakes along side. Pitches were non existent, a number on a wooden stick that you park up against. I didn't have kids, but if I did the 'Play Equipment' had sharp edges, and to me dangerous. Queen Victoria would have loved the toilets and showers, but in this day and age. Ancient. They need demolishing and re-building. Lastly, the pricing for this site is way too high, for the same price, anywhere in the country you would get a bar, entertainment and 'modern' facilities. Now I have stated the negatives, I used it as a base to visit friends so I wasn't too bothered, but anybody spending a main holiday here would be disappointed. Well done the wardens !

Have just returned from a weekend break and had a lovely time. I think the bad weather reports deterred some campers, but luckily, for us, it didn't rain and so we enjoyed the peacefulness of the campsite! The staff on arrival, were very welcoming and helpful. There is a fridge/freezer on site which was handy. The pitches were spacious and areas felt secluded, with trees, areas of long grass or fences. There is a pretty fishing lake on the site and walks around it. The fish and chip van opposite the site on Friday evenings is a must! The wardens do expect people to respect other campers in regards to late night noise and behaviour, which we found a good thing.
We went as a family with children aged 13 and 11, who once they realised there was no Wifi, got used to the quiet pace! They would have liked an area to play football or tennis, although there was a small play area for young children.
There is no shop on site, but a village shop is opposite the site, or Tescos in Diss is 10 minutes away approximately.
We managed a trip Norwich City Centre( lots of good shops and cafes and lovely buildings), by Park and Ride and a fun morning at Conga Rapids 18 hole crazy golf course near Norwich.
We will hopefully be returning again this summer.

We came here for 3 nights, firstly yes the site was clean, toilets and shower block to.
Grass was quite long for a site, the cuttings could have been collected but we had cuttings through our awning and into the caravan and I am a very caravan proud owner.
The wardens I can't fault as they were only doing their job but you did feel if you couldn't relax properly.
Sooo many do's and don't's, and too many signs saying what you can and can't do.
Defiantly not a child friendly place even though we didn't have children with us, two younger kids got a ball out and were passing it to each other and the lady warden was there in a flash telling them they couldn't play (yet again only doing her job)
This has to be the most expensive site I've ever stayed at, cost us £79. 50 for 3 nights:
£18. 00 per night, £4. 00 per night electric ( there is a law that your not allowed to make a profit on electric, this place certainly does), £2. 50 per night for an awning and £2. 00 per night each dog, I've never paid to bring my dog to any site before.
I think the whole rules and regs should be brought up to date and this should be an adults only site.
Would we come again, no we wouldn't and only because of the above reasons.

This is a very quiet site seemingly squeezed in to a low key housing estate. We (Adult & Children) arrived desperately needing the loo after a long non stop 3 hour journey and were unable to use due to them being cleaned, despite our pleas! This is an ideal site for caravanners 65+ or beginner fishermen and also a great place to get young children into fishing on a small scale.
There are two small lakes/large ponds, one of which is non-fishing but there is no way to see the fish to feed them as tall grass is all the way around it which was a disappointment as fishermen were fishing in the other pond so we could NOT throw food in to see the fish.
The play area for under 11's is very antiquated and in need of an update and overall the site is not child friendly.
The only good thing about this site was the clean toilet block and the washing up area. Though I cannot believe small wooden benches are permitted to be put across the shower cubicles in front of the door when using the shower. If there was an emergency, one might panic about getting out.
Open fire baskets are not permitted which was another shame.
This campsite is probably the worst one we have visited in our six years of camping and is long overdue a rest or revamp!
