We rang to book on to this site, and they didn't even want a deposit leaving. We arrived and found no one at reception, just a note saying find a pitch and let them know later.

We had been told to book a pitch on the touring caravan part of the park as it had EHU's which we wanted. We drove around and eventually decided on a pitch, set up and then went to inform reception that we had arrived. The woman at reception said that someone should have been there when we arrived. This was the shape of things to come, for our stay here.

There is no shop on site, but with a spar shop 5 minutes down the road I guess they think they don't need one. There are vending machines though.

The washrooms are keep clean to a degree. They might be mopped out in the morning, but they aren't cleaned. What I mean is, there was still sand (from the beach) in the shower trays, empty soap packets, toothpaste tubes left lying on the floor. I know as campers we should keep the area clean but this wasn't happening, also if they left a mop and bucket with disinfectant, we could clean up before and after ourselves, but they didn't.

Also as there are no site rules as such (or if there was, we weren't given them) we saw loads of campers just throwing fag butts, cans of lager about. It also seem to be that as soon as it turned dark (9pm ish) all the teenagers came out and were making a noise until the early hours (the only night this didn't happen was when a storm was raging)

As for Trearddur bay and the surrounding area. We couldn't ask for a more relaxing place to stay, the beach is lovely it also has a no dog area, further round there are rocks where you can go rock pooling, something we did and my 3 year old son loved. There are also loads of small coves that you can use.

We ate at the Inn on the bay pub, the food was good, but it can get busy and there was a nice cask ale pint too. There are other places to visit on Anglesey, but we stayed on the beach apart from one day. With Snowdon only about 40 minutes away there are activities for all ages to do.

Overall we think the site lets itself down by, not allocating pitches, the cleaning could be better and a list of site rules.

Lovely perfect location for families wanting to walk to little coves and play on the beach as they are on your doorstep here or visit places of interest like lighthouses or take a walk through woods at Pehnros until you discover a secret little beach at the end full of shells and rock pools it is really something!

The toilets and showers very clean as the owners constantly kept them nice and where always friendly and helpful on information of places to go.

We went to an Angora bunny farm with our girls and don't recommend it at all it was just an old lady in her bungalow taking money off you for a five minute walk round her garden full of bunnies everywhere you you looked yes they were cute but it looked like there were too many too cope with to be honest waste of money don't bother!

The campsite was brilliant for weekdays but as weekend arrived it was awful, too many tents everywhere you looked. One night got rowdy as a large group of young people, the cans were out from 4pmish so by 9pm was rowdy the language getting worse by midnight, the campfire was going strong and the girls and lads talking and quite rowdy running about the place throughout the early hours of next morning we got very little sleep and felt quite vulnerable in our tent with our little ones. Couldn't complain until next day when office opened and in all fairness the owner went over and asked them to leave, then one of the lads came and apologised to us and told us they were going if we would like to reconsider and stay but by then the damage was done.

So if you want it easy going then this is place for you nice and relaxed if you get the right kind of neighbours!

We went here in our smaller 3 man tent, (as the kids weren't with us), we were able to choose our own spot to pitch. There are 2 fields, we chose the 2nd one, it was more of a walk to the toilets, but there was more choice of quiet little corners.

The toilets and showers were ok, clean and functional.

There's a little path that goes straight from the campsite down to the beach.

Lovely beaches. There is a shop nearby and a big tesco in holyhead.

This is a nice quietish camp, would go again.

I agree with Quirky I was there for Easter weekend and the facilities were top notch, what more could a camper want!

Granted it was helped that the weather was spectacular but nevertheless the campsite have got it top notch!

Will defo be back soon! Just hope next time the fish are not on holiday as no one caught a thing all weekend!

We stayed at this campsite over the Easter weekend and I have to say that this is one of the cleanest campsites we have stayed On In Anglesey.

The toilets were cleaned at least three times a day and the campsite was spotless.

It was only a ten minute walk to the pub and just a mile walk to the Spar.

Just a short walk through the field and you were directly on the beach. It was an excellent campsite helped along by the glorious weather. We shall return next bank holiday.

Stayed here for our first ever camping trip we went with some experienced camper friends who were arriving a day before us.

It was not looking good as we made our way there, my friend informed me that they had no record of our booking despite her actually speaking to them in person, there were no ehu tent pitches left so they had put us on the caravan/touring pitches. They don't allocate pitches (or they didn't in this instance) so my friend was informed that the only way to get us a pitch close to them would be for them to pay for it and park their car over it - we didn't mind paying up front but we didn't feel comfortable parking over a pitch.

On arrival at midday the site seemed really nice & after waiting around for an hour or so whilst other campers packed up we managed to get a pitch close to our friends. The pitches in the touring area were much better than in the camping field which was a little muddy and sloping ours were really flat and not muddy at all.

This site is great as just a short walk away is Trearrdur Bay and lots of sandy coves with rockpools for the children to play in which our children loved. Also in walking distance is a fab bar/restaurant called the Seacroft which I would highly recommend for anyone wanting a break from the bbq, a very smart family friendly modern pub serving great food. There is also a Spar shop within walking distance.

Toilets and showers were acceptable, showers a bit of dribble really operated by a timed push button - it had been a miserable wet week so this could explain why our friends thought that the cleanliness of the block wasn't up to the site's usual standard. The site could do with more sinks for dish washing I had to wait for ages as they only have two.

I hope this doesn't sound too negative as we had a great time, the site itself is in a great location and had everything we needed so we would definitely visit again at some point but would ask to be situated on the caravan/touring area.

Just returned from a very enjoyable weekend at this site, which we were very pleased with. The site is quite easy to find, just off the main road and access is pretty good. The toilets and shower areas are excellent, very clean and plenty of space for changing and the added bonus of hairdryers! The site was very busy, but we never had to queue for facilities.

The only thing I would mention is that the caravan side of the park is immaculate (as shown in the pictures), but the tent area is a bit more 'wild', with areas of long grass and very uneven ground; however when we arrived we were told we could choose our own pitch, so you can avoid the lumps if you choose carefully!

We will be visiting again.

Toilets+showers were spot on. Washing up facilities were good too, 2 massive sinks available. There was a freezer in the office where you could refreeze your blocks.

Hook-ups available, but for an additional charge I think.

Staff were always helpful, and appeared to be on top of noisier campers when it was late.

Very short walk to the sea through the fields, or a long and twisty drive.

Plenty of good beaches in this area, especially if you don't mind a short drive.

There's a Spa + a COOP I think in the village, or more shops over in Holyhead, alternatively you can fish for your supper. There are a few things to do in the area, but to be honest if you have the weather, the beaches and walks around cliffs etc could take up loads of your time.

Would certainly return here.

Well I have just returned from my first ever camping trip. I was notlooking forward to it at all but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt ( will try anything once ).

We Arrived at this site at about 7pm on Sunday evening. I was very impressed with the first impressions.

This campsite is very very clean and very very well maintained. We were a party of 3 adults and 4 children with 2 tents.

The toilet blocks and shower blocks were super clean and more often than not, when I visited the toilet or shower there was someone there with a mop in hand cleaning!

Not a lot to do on site ( which was what we wanted ) but the scenery was breathtaking and you are not that far from the Beach / local pubs and shops etc. I would highly recommend this site to anyone. There are Ample electricity point and more than enough water units. They have vending machines with food in and a microwave ( which came in handy for a nice curry ).

The little beaches and coves are a fantastic thing. We took a drive to Beaumaris ( approx 30/40 mins drive ) where we took the kids Crabbing off the Pier. We later headed back and did a little more crabbing in the little bays near Bagnol park. Believe me, its free and great fun for the kids.

All in all, site highly recommended and area highly recommended!

Thanks Bagnol for making my first camping trip the best. I am a Avid camper now and can't wait to return!

Excellent site, clean toilets and hot showers. 5min walk down to the beach. Some good blue flag beeches nearby. We were lucky with the weather, brilliant sunshine all week. We will most certainly be visiting this site again. The site was getting quite busy when we were leaving so I guess booking is advisable. Some lovely cliff top walks especially at sunset. South Stack lighthouse nearby is worth a visit but be warned there are more than 350 steps down the cliff to reach the lighthouse, not bad going down but a bit of a hike climbing back up!
