This is an excellent site. My husband and I went here on Friday night until Sunday and found everything more than we hoped for. Friendly welcome, Large Touring Pitch with lovely views. A short and enjoyable walk into town and also an hourly bus service passes the site. On the Sunday a friendly and nice gentleman called John who we think was the warden, showed us around the newly refurbished Bar/Games room and fantastic new Pool/Sauna ect. Everyone was so nice. The young Lady in the reception/shop was extremely nice too. We highly recommend this site and suspect that we may have to book well in advance in the future in order to get a pitch. Lovely safe site for us to bring our grandchildren next time. Many thanks to all who we met.

We visited this site for a one night stay in August 2011 and was amazed at how nice it was.
The toilets and showers were fantastic, much better then most I have seen and so clean.
The site was extremely clean too.
There was a small bar which we used and there was a small swimming pool with a larger one under construction, which looked as if it would be very good when it was complete next year. Pity that all sites can't follow their example.
The only criticism that we had was that we were on a pitch near to the road which was a little noisy but the benefits outweighed this minor point.

Excellent site. Stayed for two nights at end of May start of half term weekend. Close to St Andrews and walking distance to Morrisons. On arrival I was given a sheet describing how to park car and caravan on pitch as they are all positioned to the left side of the pitch and car the right side.
This is great as you never get another caravan right beside you for noise levels. Pitch sizes are huge with a little wooden fence either side. We had hard standing on large slate gravel which was good when wet but not so great when small kids fall over as did mine. She bruised and grazed all down one side of her face.
Toilets and showers were the best I've ever experienced when camping. Very hot, clean and spacious.Showers even had a glass partition to separate the shower from the dry seat / hooks / dressing area.
The only disappointment was that the on site bar didn't do any type of food apart from Pot Noodles. Would definitely return if in area again

Just back from Cairnsmill Park, where we stayed overnight to try our new 3 man tent. Staff where friendly and gave good directions to our tent pitch. We requested a hook up which only cost us £2. Our tent pitch was right next to lovely spacious clean toilets and separate shower rooms. A dish washing room was also on site with 2 sinks, only problem was the hot water tap which you had to constantly press for the water.
We took our portable tv an got a great reception.
We didn't visit the pool or club house by all and all we were very impressed with this site and would recommend it and am sure we will definitely be back.

We had planned a couple of nights stay here on our way up to Aveimore but it ended up being 4 nights due to car problems.
The site was really hard to find and we saw no signs for it at all and only found it in the end after asking at another site who kindly gave us directions.
Once we arrived we were directed to our pitch, which was a very large hard standing with plenty of room for caravan, awning and car. The site has a pool but we were informed that as it was low season we would have to ask if we wanted it opening up for us. There is also a bar and games room on site.
The toilet block was clean and the 2 showers were more like giant wet rooms than showers, which was lovely.
There is a shop on site, which has quite a good range of goods. In St Andrews there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. We visited the famous St Andrews Golf Course as my husband is a bit of a golf fan, the lovely beach, castle and cathedral.
Morrison’s is 5 mins down the road for provisions and fuel which is really handy.

Visited this site when we where campers, then with a trailer tent and now with a touring caravan. Each time has been brilliant. The hard standing pitches are really big, plenty room for van, awning and car. Really well spaced out not far from the EHU and water tap. On these hard standings you need really good rock pegs and I would suggest longer than six inches, plastic pegs or wire pegs are no good.
The shop is well stocked and has daily papers and fresh rolls. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Nice pint of Bellhaven best in the bar. Once the new bigger pool is opened I would imagine this site will become even more popular.
The toilet block was warm and modern with nice hot showers. The wife had a moan about the young lassies hogging all the sinks and mirrors but girls will be girls.
Morrisons supermarket is a 10 minute stroll, so no problem with fresh provision. It also has a filling station so cheap(er) petrol/diesel on the door step.
St Andrews is a further 20 walk. Too much to talk about in St Andrews best to visit their web site. It has good pubs and restaurants catering for all tastes.
Bus to St Andrews passed the entrance on the hour and is 10 past the hour coming back.
The security at site is very good. It has a car registration barrier. Drive up wait and the barrier opens, brilliant.
Have not commented on the child friendliness as we had no rug rats with us, but the kids running round seemed to be enjoying themselves very much.
Will not be long before we are back, just hope the is the same as it was for this visit.
Brilliant.
The site is just off a busy road but the tall trees do a good job of stopping most of the road noise.

The site is immaculate with good size pitches for the caravan, awning and car. Water and waste facilities was within easy reach including toilets and showers. It has a nice bar with friendly staff and reasonable prices. The swimming pool was good but small this will be overcome shortly with the construction of a new swimming pool. The only criticism was that the female toilets could have been better due to children making a mess of them with toilet paper.

Sorry. We didn't actually stay here, but I wanted to leave a note that we inquired about booking a pitch and were told that they only accommodate up to 4-man tents. Thought I'd share that so others who have larger tents would know before inquiring. They don't have a web site, so I had to email and ask, and I thought others might not want to waste their time (or the campsite owner's time). Sure looks lovely, though!

Really liked this site, pitches are flat and not cramped together, it has a few small playparks for the kids, games room, pool, shop.
We stayed in the caravan part but had friends who stayed in the tent area. They too were told the site only accepted up to 4 man tents but when they arrived there were quite a few tents that were obviously bigger than that.
We are hoping to return next month for a long weekend as it is a lovely site and St Andrews is a favourite of ours.

Well we have just come back from a 2 day stay there and we cannot fault it. We had a lovely time. The staff were very friendly when we arrived and very helpful. The pool is small but it was never busy when we went. The toilets were constantly cleaned, there is only 2 showers in the ladies and one in the men's but this did not put us off one bit. On site shop was also good. The bar had entertainment which my son loved as well as the games room.
We will be going back again.
