The site was lovely, toilet blocks were always clean and they have a family room what was also lovely and clean. They have all the facilities you need like washing up rooms, washing machine even a room to hang out your wet washing if weather not good.

The playground was kept tide and they have a playing field for the kids and swings that was great. The owners were very nice and so helpful. They have a little shop on site what does papers, bread, milk, eggs etc.

The only criticism I would say is that the vans are a bit close but a very good site, we have booked to go back again we liked it that much

Have just spent a lovely bank holiday weekend here. We had a super pitch which seemed expensive, but was great. We were very close the the reception which was open 9-5 everyday. On arrival you are given a very informative 'pack' which contains a colour map of the part of the site you are on, a map of Lytham with loads of info about takeaways etc, even the gps location which helped hubby in setting up the sat receiver!

The toilets are a bit 'old school' cubicles but they were always clean when I used them. There appears to be a toilet block for each part of the site. The showers in the block I used were powerful and just the right temperature for me.

There is a lovely laundry area with new looking washer/dryer, an iron and ironing board, a washing line and table and chairs to sit at while browsing the tourist information leaflets.

The shop sells basics and the staff were friendly (although hubby thought one of them was a bit miserable but she was always nice to me!).

The new children's playarea has a lovely wooden assault course and they had a small bit in the middle for the little ones. There is a play field with a football goal and one set of old swings but these are outside of the entrance gates. Our son did find the playarea a bit boring as there wasn't much for the older ones (son is 8) and we have been spoilt with play areas on other sites that we have been to recently.

Lytham was walkable for us, although the path is a bit narrow in places so you would struggle with a buggy. We got a taxi back as we had walked all day and it cost us £4 from the train station.

Just before we left, we were going to pop to the recycling centre (right next door but we didn't notice any noise from it) and the staff said that they would take it for it, we could just leave by the Reception door which was very nice of them.

It is the only site that we have had to pay in full before we have arrived (although it is the only one that we did book a while in advance so that could be the reason.

We recently bought a caravan and wanted to try it out on a site. We rang up and booked a pitch and they could not have been more helpful. I explained it was our first trip out and they offered me assistance in parking the caravan up and all the services were explained by the maintenance man.

Its a friendly site, well situated near the coast/ Lytham and yes we would definitely recommend Eastham Hall and YES we will return.

To start of with, this is our very first time in our caravan and chose to visit this site down to all the reviews on it. We wasn't disappointed from the excellent communications at booking stage, the directions they supplied with the pack sent which was fantastic to a noob like us.
The entrance was wide and welcoming as seasoned campers we have drove into some very small openings but this was ideal, the battery card (£10 refundable deposit) operated the gates and CCTV also gave us a great feeling of security too.
Think we picked the wettest weekend in a while and all through the 200 mile drive, no sun shone, so we thought a damp sodden pitch was awaiting but found out we had a generous hard standing 'super pitch' which surprised us they price never seemed to reflect it, also meant the walk to the tap was extremely short.
The shower and toilet block although dated in some parts, have seen some modernisation as well as plenty of hot water and well heated too. The kids did manage to venture out into the play area once or twice whilst dodging showers and was ok for them.
Dogs are kept on leads and didn't see no mess at all and the site supplied free bags for them too. Shop had very basic supplies but in the village was a local supermarket, pubs takeaways etc.
Site itself although having a lot of seasoned pitches, as well as plenty of tourers still seemed to keep a rural and peaceful vibe, plenty of trees in between caravans, and no fast roads screaming past your pitches either.
Think we have struck gold on our first time away, would recommend to anyone wanting to visit Blackpool or surrounding areas, to base yourself here, I know we will again.

when we arrived we were told that the grass pitch could not be used as it was very wet, we were told to put the caravan alongside the pitch instead on the road.

This site has no drainage whatsoever on the grass pitches and has been wet for a long time, our pitch was a complete mudbath, the kids had to be kept in the caravan and our equipment is covered in mud.
The facilities are very basic, there are not many water taps to fill up your aquaroll and the site shop is part of the reception and sells very little.
The toilet and shower block is basic with very little ventilation

We stayed at this fantastic site in late july the staff were very friendly & helpful

The pitches were well drained and the grass was well looked after as you were only allowed breathable groundsheets down all the pitches had electric hookups

Once we had set our unit up we went to the site shop which was well stocked with local produce as well

The toilet & showers were impeccable clean and there was music and flowers to give it that little bit extra.

We went into lytham which was about 10mins drive from the campsite and we found a local takeaway which was very good there was plenty of supermarkets around as well

I would recommend this site to anyone its well worth the money its well maintained the staff are friendly & helpful and the site is very quiet even during the day when all the children are playing

Cant wait to visit this site again

We have just spent the last weekend of May here in the glorious sunshine, long may it last for us caravanner's!

Eastham Hall is approx 5miles from junction 3 on the M55 so is relatively easy to find and has good access from a wide driveway.

After you have checked in go through the left hand barrier the warden will give you a site map with your pitch number marked on it and the site has good tarmac access roads all around so it is easy to negotiate. You need a £ 10 deposit for the barrier card which is refundable on departure.

We booked a super pitch, £25 per night which gave us hard standing and some grass and hard parking for the car, water and waste hookup and 16amp elec, 4 adults and no extra charge for awning. Normally for a two day sunny weekend we would only book a grass pitch but they were getting close to full when we rang, so we took what they offered, the grass pitches opposite proved to be better as they had the evening sun! we were in the shade from the the tall trees!

The site is nicely laid out, with trees and hedges for privacy, but you are quite close to your neighbour, this is my only criticism.

The toilet facilities are nice and clean and tidy, plenty of loos, but only three showers in the ladies, that being said I didn't have to wait and the site was pretty full, but may be in summer you may have to wait, there was plenty of hot water and a seat, a shelf and hooks are all in there.

There is a small shop in reception selling basics, newspapers can be ordered and they also had a selection of fresh baked bread. The farm up the road does milk and eggs and cream too.

It is only 1.5miles to Lytham centre where there are greens all along the front and a nice pub too. There is a BOOTH's supermarket for larger items there also.

Wrea Green is a lovely village and they were playing cricket on the green when we drove through, how very English! and the pub seemed to be doing a roaring trade too! But remember it was a glorious weekend.

There is a train station in Moss Side, the village within walking distance and it goes I believe to Blackpool South Station, but there seems to be a pretty good bus service too.

There seems to be a high ratio of seasonal pitches here, but they are all decent caravans, no moss green 30 year old ones! I can see why though, it is a terrific spot for access to Lytham and St Annes, 5 miles to the M55 and out to M6 for day trips to the Lakes, striking distance to Blackpool, but far enough away for peace and tranquility in a semi rural location. We have been touring now for 4 1/2years and my hubby has said after spending the weekend there, it would be, of all the sites we have been to, this is where he would consider a seasonal pitch.

So, to sum up a nice pleasant site in a great location, fees a touch on the high side during their 'peak season' but all in all, really nice, we will recommend to friends and recommend here.

The visit to Eastham Hall was our first with a touring caravan. I have visited the site many years ago with my parents.

The site is in an excellent position as it has good access roads and is close to the lovely town of Lytham.

The site itself is quiet and very well maintained. The facilities on site are quite dated but kept very clean and the main toilet block now has central heating.

The only slight problem was that the main toilet block was closed for cleaning at around 9.30-10am at the weekend, which was inconvenient as you then had to use the smaller toilets with no heating and very limited warm water.

All in all a great site for our first weekend in a Caravan and will probably return at some point.

We visited this site on the Aug bank holiday.

We think this site has a great location its ideal for Laytham and St Annes. We found the site clean and tidy and very friendly staff who will do anything to help. It has a good play area at the top of the site for the young children and a ball field we was great for us with a 11 year old boy.
There is an excellent large park about a mile away close to the town centre of Laytham it has the skate board ramps and the bike ramps and football pitches plus really good play equipment it is worth a visit.
We found the toilets very clean but a bit dated and can imagine they will be cold early and late season but the main thing is they are clean. The grass cuttings are a bit of a mess on some pitches but having a mat normally stops it treading into the van. The shop sells the basics but there are plenty shops and supermarkets locally.

The best thing for us about this site is No pub or club (does no mean we don't like a drink) and the closeness to Laytham and St Annes and far enough away from Blackpool.

This is our 3rd visit over the last 2yrs.
This site's biggest attraction for us is the closeness to Lytham (a handy regular bus service operates just outside the camp) a wonderful small town with a charm of it's own, never fails to please with it's interesting variety of shops & good eating places.
The local Lytham Club Gala event was on during our stay, proved to be popular attracting a lot of public support giving the whole resort a good buzz, With the Army showing off it's helicopter on the prom. As well as a visiting fairground.

Blackpool (only 15-20 min car ride) hosted the Veterans Day celebrations on the Friday with the RAF manning exhibition stands on the Prom, a service by the cenataph was lead by the Bishop followed by marching of the veterans down the closed promenade. A spectacular absailing took place at the Tower which we missed but caught it on the TV later that night. Whilst taking a coffee on the Prom I shared a bench with a seventy year old Royal Navy veteran who was proud to tell me of his 21yrs service on aircraft carriers & various ships seeing a lot of the world. He never married & although not in good health had travelled on bus over a hundred miles to attend the event. It brought it home to me personally what a sacrifice these ex servicemen had made for our generation to enjoy our freedom today.

The site is well laid out with good tarmac roadways, new super pitches for tourers being a big improvement particularly night lighting at individual plots. Not having to lug water around as well as convenient waste water drainage was a big plus. The electric hookups worked well & felt safe. Toilet blocks were kept clean, well lit & freshly decorated. Perhaps lack of soap dispensers at sinks might dissapoint some campers. Early/ late season, lack of heating is something that would make showering a drudge when cooler climes. Lack of dishwashing facilities is also a slight inconvenience.

The shop provides basic needs, the freshly baked bread was appreciated. The village Premier shop was well stocked plus a separate newsagents were handy just down the road from the camp a pleasant walk or a few mins in the car.

Eastham Hall has a natural rural atmosphere the abundance of Silver birch trees give serenity & creates an individual identity. Children friendly wide open green spaces for ball games, swings & a separate play gound with safe facilities encouraged the children to play away from vans. A separated Dog walking field was handy & well kept, a shame some campers were occassionaly lazy & failed to remove their dog dirt particularly as the site owners supplied convenient disposal bins & offered free bags.

This site is quiet & non commercilal (no bars or slot machines etc) we found very relaxing, with generous individual plots plus a general feeling of spacousness experienced from the whole camp area was most enjoyable. Although we were a party of 3 adults there were plenty of young families enjoying themselves over the weekend while we were there.

The staff at reception were helpful & friendly and the barrier system worked well giving added security. We took advantage of staying til 5pm on day of depature, paying an extra fiver which we found good value as we were able to feel the benifit of an extra full afternoon. We were originally planning to visit this camp at Easter (early this yr) but cancelled due to bad weather. The management were helpful & allowed us to move our booking to June with no monetry disadvantage. We shall certainly revisit Eastham Hall in the future, keeping to the warmer months avoiding early or late season as we are admitedly 'nesh' particularly when it comes to showering. Whoops my Potteries expression crept in there 'nesh' meaning sensitive to the cold in this context.
