You cant say anything bad about this site, clean, tidy and very quiet.
The facilities may be a little simple & dated, but ample and kept in excellent condition.
My Daughter is 4 and we did not see her as we were on the first plot next to play area which again was basic but enough to amuse her.
We would recommend this site to anyone who likes peace & Quiet or simply want a nice base. Fantastic

This is about our third visit to this site and for us we couldn’t find anything more perfect. Its rural but close enough to a reasonable sized Tesco in Abergele for all your food needs and its close to most of the north Wales resorts for entertainment. It has a family bathroom with bath and baby bath and one shower in each toilet section. As we visited at bank holiday and the site was full so sometimes you had to wait but it was not really a problem. The kids love the small wooded play area with tiny stream and pond which if they have spades and fishing nets can keep them busy all day. Its so relaxed here and seems to attract families with younger children so although small there is usually someone for children to play with. The local beach at Pensarn has plentiful, free parking, good food, small amusement area and lost of pebbles that make it great fun. The only downside is that sometimes the showers seem to suffer low water pressure particularly is someone flushes a toilet, so be warned, but we love this site.

We stayed here with our two chidren aged 3 and 8. They loved the small play area that had been created near to a little stream very close to the pitches. It got a little trying when we repeatedly had to keep on pulling or then 2 year old out of the stream - but was worth the drying umpteen pairs of trousers! A large tree with a tarzee over the small stream kepy our oldest amused for hours whilst we could take in the fresh country air. All the pitches are hardstandings - great for a quick setup. The toilet block was a little dated (green 70's) and small with 1 shower in each sex. A toilet room inc a bath was available in the block, however a token was required. The pot washing facilites were great with 4 sinks, this romm was kept very clean and tidy. A very large fridge frezer was avalible for visitors along with a huge washing machine and a tumble dryer that take pound coins. The nearest shop is a petrol station is approx half a mile away. Finally the owners were very friendly we were even offered daily papers! I would recommend this site without hesitation!

We are both in our sixties and have been caravaning for years. This site is the most delightful we have come across. We live in Cumbria and visit South Wales every year so the journey is quite tiring now. We had decided to 'break' half way for 3 days at the start and 3 days at the end of our holiday.
Excellent cleanliness, very friendly and helpful owner, good dog walking around a huge secure field and peace from any traffic.
We will certainly be staying there again!
We would highly recommend

What a little gem! hidden away yet near enough to the A55, we arrived on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet only few people/units on,come Monday I think there were just us and 3 other couples no children (which was a boon as normally we only ever go to 'adults only sites' but being out of the school hols we thought we would risk it, what a lovely spacious site tons of room between any units, the grass was cut neat and tidy, the toilets whilst slightly dated were spotless and clean, ample water taps, the peacock is still around and we thought it may be a nuisance with its noise at first but after having vetted us and wandered off we didn't really see it much, as for the dog/s cats we didn't come across them until we were leaving and then I think they wandered over to say bye!
Whilst we were there it was idyllic and peaceful, bearing in mind by Thursday there was only 2 couples there. We will certainly be visiting Hunters Hamlet again and it is now on our list of 'favourites', we set off towards Kimel Bay and come across a massive garden center with 'butterfly tea rooms' I can recommend the food it was so fresh and a pleasure to sit there with attentive waitresses, very reasonably priced and quick service. Also a visit to 'Rhos-on sea' is a must with its long clean beach. And free parking along the front(was free whilst we were there but maybe check if later in the season)all in all we had a great break and can't wait to visit again.

We stayed for one night over the Easter Break. We rolled up mid afternoon and luckily there was a pitch available. Site owners very honest in advising were experiencing problems with electric (but all fine during our stay).
Everything immaculately clean - beautiful views and site well kept. Good space between pitches.
Only a couple of miles to next village where 3 good pubs serve great food. Highly recommend this site.

We have just returned from a five night stay at this beautiful campsite.
We were very impressed with the location of the site, the views, the surrounding area. Abergele was only a couple of miles away, and you could reach the A55 in a few minutes and travel around Wales.
The site itself was well kept. The toilets are small and dated but we never had to queue. There is only two showers (one in the Gents, and one in the Ladies) but again, even though it was bank holiday we didn't really have to queue.
The only issue we had was the electricity. There was a problem on the site where the electricity would keep tripping out and this happened several times throughout the stay. The owners were very upset by this as it was even off for over 12hours at one point. They did however offer a refund for the electic charge for three days. The owners did comment that it was due to the Easter break and they had only ever once experienced it like that before. Once a few people left, it returned to normal again.
There is a small childrens play area on site, and it within easy reach of shops and pubs in Abergele.
We enjoyed it so much we have already booked again.
I would recommend this site.

A small site (23 hard standings) set in beautiful countryside, this site ticks all the boxes if you require a get away from it all location. About 12 miles from Conwy in North Wales and about 3 miles inland from the coast, on a scenic route to Snowdonia. Ideally placed for touring North Wales. All the hard standings were level and generously spaced. The toilet/shower block was clean and well kept. The only grouch being, that sometimes the water wasn't very hot, this didn't effect the shower which was independently heated. There is also a small children's play area. The nearest shop was about 1/2 mile away, the nearest pub was 2 miles. I would recommend this site.

Absolutely beautiful! Well-kept, immaculately clean, plenty of room between pitches. We met a cat and a dog at reception but they didn't roam onto the site at all. As for the peacock mentioned in other reviews - he's still there and still vocal but we thought he was lovely and felt privileged to have him around. The main toilet block has three toilets and one shower each for ladies & gents, and a proper bathroom in between (sink, loo & bath). All were pristine all the time. There is a second shower block but we didn't need to use it - it was half term, May bank holiday. All pitches were full but I never had to queue for the bathroom. The location is idyllic, very peaceful - a five-minute drive to the nearest town. Crucially for me in an underpowered old campervan, access to the site was easy. We'll definitely visit again.
