Fantastic camp site, well maintained pitches. Short walk from local pub with great food. Also a eating place on site in reception serving breakfast, lunch and diner at good prices or just enjoy a quiet drink. Great staff, clean toilets and showers. Perfect for chill out breaks and base for touring, cycling and walking. Not to mention the trip up the bealach na ba. Will definitely be going again this year,

Stunning location with views to die for.
Friendly and helpful staff on hand at all times.
Amenities are basic but at the pitch price (98 quid for two adults and two children for a week in August) who can complain.
Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance.
A walkers and artists paradise.
A stunning beach a short drive away if you get the weather.
If there is a drawback then it's the same one that plagues every campsite all over the country. The usual handful of irresponsible dog owners and their tedious pets.

Friendly reception, we had booked a hard standing with electric hook up in advance and our pitch was marked up with a blackboard with our name on which was a nice touch.
The site is located close to Applecross village, a short walk from the sea and the Applecross Inn. There are many signposted walks in the local area - which were enjoyable even in the rain and pleasant bike ride along the coast road. There is well stocked shop about a mile from the campsite.
The facilities were basic and oversubscribed, however, the on-site cafe more than made up for this. A really relaxing place to be. We had pizzas there in the evening and drinks and scones during the day. There is free wifi available within the cafe.

Applecross is a great little village and well worth the visit. The scenery getting to this place is stunning. If you are towing, come in from the north!
Once you are at the site leave your caravan (whatever) behind and drive to the top of 'Bealach na Ba' you will be rewarded with the most stunning views. The Applecross Inn is renowned for it's excellent food but you may have to share a table because it is so busy.
The campsite itself is well situated with a nice coffee shop. The facilities are nice and clean BUT for such a busy site there are not enough.
In the men's there are only 2 toilet cubicles and 2 showers so you may have to wait. This is the only real drawback. Also it is a very busy site and it may be worth booking in advance especially if you need a large pitch or hookup.

Site is in a fabulous area, staff really friendly, but the shower and toilet facilities are totally inadequate for the size of the site, and the staff started to clean them at 9 am -just when they were the busiest, which only made matters worse. It's a pity because the site could be so much better!
The drive to the site is stunning from either direction, although from the south not suitable for caravans( even coming in from the north it must be a hair raising drive towing a caravan)
Not sure if we would go back to applecross in the future - there are sites in places just as stunning but that have far better facilities

Located above the village of Applecross in an area sheltered by trees, the site is well worth a visit.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The site is a fair drive whichever way you approach it, but well worth the visit. The Applecross Inn just a couple of minutes walk away is also well worth a visit for food or refreshment.
The facilities on the camp site were clean and basic but the prices reflected this.
There is also a cafe on site which is relaxing and worth a visit especially when the weather is poor.

What a great site! They were more than tolerant of my ever changing plans in all that rain and the breakfast was knockout too. Very glad the cafe had opened early this year.
The loos and showers etc were very new looking and clean so no reason for the moans as below. They were accomodating in my flitting from tent to hut and back again and were kind enough to keep a bag of kit safe whilst I was out on the hills for a couple of days. Would return tomorrow - in fact, wondered why I ever left.
A fine site in a very lovely part of the world - what more could you want?
Hope the lawnmower got revived.

Absolutely fantastic site, the staff were very friendly and the views are absolutely stunning.
I would recommend to anyone whether it be in tents, caravans or campers.
The road to Applecross (Beallach na Ba) is something to behold although not recommended if you are towing anything. However the towing route round the North East of the peninsula is truly stunning also. But if you love driving then the road over the mountain is something else.
I will definitely be returning to this campsite in the future.

Just got back from the Applecross Campsite and have to say it was the best 4 days away I've had. It was bliss! I travelled up from Kent (693 miles), so I was hoping that it would live up to expectations.
I stayed in one of the camping cabins and have 12 hours sleep every night.
The owners are very friendly and will do anything to help you. I was desperate for internet access and they went out of their way to sort it out for me.
The views are stunning and I would also recommend visiting the Applecross Inn; a real gem of a pub! I took up lots of food for the 4 days but brought it wall back as I ate every meal in the Inn.
The perfect getaway and thank you to everyone in Applecross for making my Labrador Ben and I feel very welcome.

I visited this site in June 2009 on the motorbike, the weather was perfect and I enjoyed the location so much I came back in August 2010. Unfortunately the weather was foul and I was glad I came by car this time. The camping field was poorly drained with muddy patches everywhere. This was exacerbated by the fact that cars & motorhomes were parked on the grass causing even more damage.
The toilet block was too small for the amount on the field but I am led to believe this is because of some problem between the landowners and the site owners.
This may sound like a negative review but in fact this is a fantastic place to be. The scenery is outstanding, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the village Inn is a gourmets delight! The on site cafe is a godsend when it is pouring down and the food is very nice.
In my view the positives far outweigh the negatives of this site.
I will return but hoping for some dry weather when I do!
