We stayed at this site for 5 nights in a small touring caravan.

We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted by a lovely lady who was happy for us to pay the next morning (forgot to get cash on the journey down).

The site is very clean and well presented, all lawns were tendered to making them very presentable. The facilities are as good as other sites at the same price. Owners couldn't have been more helpful and friendly when we had a little trouble with the tv reception.

I would recommend this site for all, and I really really really love sites which don't charge for dogs, and awnings out of season.

A short 15 min walk sees you in the heart of tenby and the beaches, yes a little hilly walking back, but its no snowdon!

Only minor point was the lighting levels in the mens toilets during the day, we used the tent field toilets, which were very dark during the day once inside the cubicle, reminded me a little of the scene from the shining! - but well lit in the evenings with automatic lighting - and we discovered another shower block with better lighting on our last day!

Overall, a great site and lovely people, go on and support the small family run operations! and book at this site.

Me and my family visited this site for 1 week and really enjoyed it all, we had electric hookup and the pitch was a good size, the facilities were as described on the website.
We never had to wait to use anything as there is plenty of loo's, showers and washing up sinks which were all very clean, the bins were all over the site and emptied at lease twice a day. In one of the fields there is a food van which does breakfast and burgers in the evening.
The bar and games room were good our children were allowed to go in to the bar and play pool on there own. Tenby is about 5 minutes one way and saundersfoot about 10 mins the other way both had fab beaches and plenty of shops. One day we went on a boat trip to Caldey Island you could stay for up to 7 hours it was £25 for all 4 of us and well worth it, there is also a wild life park not to far away owned by Anna Ryder Richardson who was there on the day we went and we had our photo taken with her, a fantastic swimming pool with slides and lazy river and ten pin bowling all within 30 minutes of the site.
I could go on and on but all in all a very good site and well worth going

We (Family of four with Children 7 and 10) have just returned from Well Park after a week long break leading up to the August Bank Holiday Weekend. The site is easy to find just off the (extremely) busy main road.

On arrival we were met by a helpful member of staff and advised were our pitch was. After that we didn't really see the staff for the rest of the week! Our pitch was a 'super pitch' for which we paid extra, not sure why it was classed as a super pitch though, it was half hardstanding but the use over the summer had rendered the grass surrounding us non existent and it was unfortunately just mud, which due to the rain, soaked through the eco ground sheet into the awning on a regular basis
Our 'super' pitch was located in a long line of seasonal pitches and as many of the seasonal residents were not here this week it was quiet, our neighbours arrived two days before we came home, and although they were lovely, I would have been concerned if our neighbours had been there all week as the caravans were pitched really close together once the awning was up and you did feel like you were living on top of each other.

As the site is on a hill 1.5 - 2 miles outside Tenby you should expect the wind. The wind for this time of year was strong and the pitches did feel really exposed.

For the price of the site we were a little disappointed with the facilities. The play park is really only suitable for young children and the bar and games room are only open from 8pm. So nothing for the older children to do on wet days. There is also no shop on site and although there is a mini market in New Hedges (about 5 minute walk) you have to make your way across the busy main road.

We walked to the nearest beach, Waterwynch, again across the main road and down a public footpath, which was extremely muddy due to the rain, however, the beach was out of this world. Only issue is how you get all the things down that the children need as there in no road/parking.

Tenby is a good 1.5/2 mile distance away, ok for parking and really reasonably priced between £1.50/£2.50 per day. Saundersfoot is also about 2 miles away and costs £2.50 to park right at the harbour.

There were a number of good restaurants. We ate at the Paddock in Penally twice (kids eat free on selected meals) great portion sizes and nice pub food. Many of the Restaurants in Tenby / Saunderfoot are ok in the day but get busy in the evening so you need to book in advance.

The Ghost Trail in Tenby (8pm most nights) is worth a trip hour and half tour of Tenby with a guide full of funny stories - good fun for all the family. In addition the Bowling and Crystal Maze game at Canaston Bowl are excellent family fun and value on a rainy day.

The kayaking at Saundersfoot beach is also good fun for £9 an hour. And a family ticket for the Island Cruise (£28) from Tenby Harbour was a good trip out (although be prepared to get a little wet as it can be choppy)and we even got to see a family of Seals on Caldy Island. We also went to Dinosaur world (£22 family ticket) although you do have to pay for the better rides when you get in there.

Overall Tenby and Saundersfoot and the surrounding areas are well worth a visit. Not sure we would stay on the same site again as we feel that the cost was expensive for the size of the pitch and the facilities that were on site.

We loved the site and the facilities. The showers, loos, washing up area etc. Were spotless and very little queueing. People in reception gave us some good advice about places to go and good routes.
Camping field a bit boggy in places due to weather. Fellow campers were quiet after dark and everyone who wanted to could sleep in peace listening only to traffic or rain.
Kids area was nice and encouraged kids to mix. Will go back again.

Myself and my girlfriend have just arrived back after 3 nights at this site.

From the moment we arrived, when we were met by the owner, we knew we were in for a great stay.

The owner recommended exactly where we should pitch our tent after some rain overnight – this does sound fairly obvious, but after visiting many sites, it’s very refreshing to get an owner knowing where’s wet, or too busy.

The pitches are mostly flat, and most are set within hedges to protect from the wind.

The facilities were very good. Plenty of showers, toilets and hand basins – I didn’t have to wait more than 2 mins for a shower, and despite some pretty heavy rain overnight, the facilities were always clean and tidy.

Also on site is a burger van – but don’t worry it’s not what you’re thinking. The couple running it were very nice, and at just 50p for a tea and £1.30 for chips (the best we had in Tenby) was great.

The site also has laundry, and lots of recycling areas, which was great.

The site is located next to a fairly busy road, although we didn’t hear any traffic. It’s about a 40 min walk into town, but do park – it’s just £2.00 all day, what a bargain!

We really did have a great stay at this site, and overall I’d say the site is of a very high standard, and would certainly recommend it – see you next year!

A delightful site. The welcome was exceptionally warm and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The site is very well situated - a pleasant 15 minute walk along a quiet cycle path takes you into Tenby (although the walk back is a bit of a climb!) - and easy to find (just off the main road, although traffic noise once on site is not an issue).
The site itself is very pretty and extremely well looked after. If you are after peace and quiet, this site is ideal. There is a well-stocked mini-supermarket in the village of New Hedges, which is a two minute walk away, and a pub which serves food, though I didn't try it so I can't comment. Plenty of loos and showers which were immaculately clean.

Have just come back from a week at Well Park, Easter 2009.

Overall a superb site, very pretty and well maintained. Generous pitch sizes. EHU available. Mainly caravans, static and tourer but the odd tent when we were there.

Site felt a bit exposed being on the coast but bear in mind we visited early in the year. Our pitch was on a slight incline or decline (which ever way you look at it) as were most that I observed.

Toilet block, generally clean but could do with some underfloor heating, or just plain heating! No doubt this would cease to be an issue in the summer but BRRRRRRR in the spring!

Caravan Club Rally descended over Easter weekend and facilities really woke up, there was a pig roast and a burger van on site, these were not available off peak even though it was Easter holidays.

One thing I didn't like (apart from being able to see my breath in the toilet block) was having to pay 20p everytime I wanted to do some washing up. There was barely enough hot water provided for one bowl, thought it was a bit mean spirited especially seeing as the hot water taps in the toilet block were not warm either.

This is not a cheap site but it is brilliantly situated in between tenby and saundersfoot with a multitude of beaches a short car ride away. Owners were friendly and helpful. Play area was great and well out of earshot for most visitors.

Lots of touristy attractions nearby - I really recommend Folly Farm for those with children. Get there early there is lots to see and do.

Having just spent 1 week at Well Park I can`t praise it enough. Even though it rained the whole week the owners of the park were very helpful nothing was too much trouble. The toilet block is second to none cleaned and checked regularly.
The rubbish collected twice a day keeping the park and beautiful grounds well maintained. I would certainly recommend a visit to this park as I will most certainly be returning next year

We stayed here for 2 nights and we were a bit concerned as there'd been so much rain in the week previous, but we needn't have worried as we soon found a nice level pitch for our large 9 man tent that was fairly dry under foot. We were lucky and found a pitch in the same area as the toilets / showers but it would have been a bit of a trek if we'd been in one of the bottom fields especially at night.
Site is well laid out, toilets and showers were kept very clean, we also tested the club and that was fine too. David who runs the site couldn't have been more helpful, supplying us with info on everything from site facilities to where to get a take away pizza!
The Steak House at New Hedges was lovely, really busy but the food was worth the wait, and the Londis shop only a few minutes walk away stocked everything we needed for our breakfast fry up! We've only ever camped once before and that was about 6 years ago as we now own a static caravan in another part of Wales, but we fancied a change and I must say we really enjoyed it.

We booked in for a week at Whitsun. On arrival, we were greeted by a happy face, and told where our pitch was. The pitch was tidy, and was a good size with the electric hook-up close by. The site was clean and friendly, with a small bar / family room, a playground for the kids to let off steam, and a very well equipped toilet / shower block.
Showers were free, and the ladies had a hair drier for a small fee. The owners were very helpful in the event of bad weather. Access to the local town was good, and the beaches in the area are some of the cleanest around, and we were soon told about interesting walks, if that's what you like (some of which are very pleasant).
Some of the weather we had was stormy, but we were asked if we were still OK, and 'still standing', but the local attractions made it easy to entertain two teenagers without too much expense.

On the whole we found the site to be very 'family friendly' and would recommend it for a good holiday base, and we would definitely think about going back in the future.
