I don't think the toilets were cleaned all weekend by Sunday morning there wasn't even any toilet paper left. Only 4 showers not enough for the large numbers on the site
The noise Saturday night was unbearable. There was a party going on till 1am so loud that the ground was shaking. Then campers were making a noise till 3am.
A lot of dogs were roaming free around the site so a lot of dog poo! On Sunday when people left they also left all their rubbish on the grass, which I don't think is acceptable.
It's a shame really because the site could be really lovely. Great location by the river.

I love the place, its so laid back its not true. Set at the side of a river which the children loved in their rubber dinghy, swings and a bouncy castle for the kids, also boat hire and fishing. There is a nice little pub 2 minutes walk away which serves expensive food, but a good selection of ciders and beers. Back to the site, toilet block and shower area could be a little cleaner but was ok. Will be visiting again in the near future, the owners were fantastic people to meet

Site is excellent the toilet block has full doors now and is clean and tidy. They also now do boat trips that I would highly recommend to anyone. The owner is friendly and inviting and so are the staff. My kids loved playing with the dogs that roam around the site entertaining the kids. While I was there there was no noisy campers and it was very relaxing. Need to book early as this site is booked early at weekends. A really enjoyable two nights spent here recommend to anyone

On arrival on fri eve all okish, lots of dog poo we counted 7 different dogs roaming free, later found out they the owners. Our dog was on lead the whole time but was constantly being surrounded by the other loose 7 dogs. We purchased shower key, but we had to literally scrub our shower before attempting to use it ,obviously not done of recent. Toilets were clean(bonus). Friday eve not many people so was nice and peaceful really. Lots more arrived on sat then on sat eve hell broke loose. Music still drumming at 10 mins to 1. We rang owners and we were told music cut off at 1 so would not do anything, rang again at 230am no answer,it was belting out. Complained to owner on departure ws told it like that every weekend of late. And told us again music cut off at 1am???

We visited this site with a group of friends.
The site itself is level, and set in a beautiful location. The pub opposite the site does fantastic cider! A walk along the canal is a must.
On arrival, we were told to pitch where we liked, which was good as it meant that we could pitch up with our friends who had arrived earlier.
We did not appreciate the many lose dogs around, even though ours was on a lead, and owners did not clean up after them! Not nice if you've got young children. The toilets were filthy, all I can say is I'm glad we had all the facilities that we needed in the 'van.
The noise was terrible at night. I think a combination of the cider pub, and hot weather contributed to the fighting and loud music until the small hours. There was no control at all.
All in all a nice location, but would not visit again, unless management was improved.

Probably one of our favourite campsites. Very peaceful during the day and lively at night, not everyones cup of tea, lol, but doesn't bother us and I don't drink. Everyone we have met, on site, have been friendly which is what we want. The facilities are basic but more than adequate, the owners really do go out of their way to help, if needed, even down to going around the site picking up the dog pooh. Cleethorpes is about 22 miles away and a big Morrisons about 10 miles. You can hire canoes for a paddle on the river, from the site. I would recommend this site but be aware it can be noisy at night.

This was our 2nd visit to Brandy Wharf and as enjoyable as our 1st! It's true that the partying does go on till late but it doesn't bother me (I was tucked up in bed for midnight). This is a very friendly site, the owners go out of their way to keep everyone happy. We'll be back in a couple of weeks.

Went to this site for two nights (not bank hols) but our experience was so bad we left after one night. There is nothing wrong with the site itself, the pitches are in a flat field which was clean and not to over crowded. The toilet facilities are new and clean (but the toilet doors are like salon doors so not very private). The cost of pitching is very reasonable and the owners bring around wood burners and wood for a reasonable cost. As I said there was nothing wrong with the site itself. But and it’s a big but which I cannot stress enough, is the lack of noise and behaviour restrictions. The sites noise rule is no noise after 1am. The noise went on to this time and beyond and it included shouting, swearing, very loud music, fighting and people throwing things. There is a little café/beer area (in amongst the tents) which was open until 1ish which I felt encouraged people to hang around and continue drinking. The owners didn’t bat and eye lid at the behaviour. I do not feel we were unlucky as there were 3 separate groups of people partying and as we left 2 more large groups of campers (not families) arriving. I feel the site is already known by a number of people as the place to party.

Have just returned from a long weekend at Brandy Wharf in Lincolnshire. Location of the site on the river could not be more tranquil and in the fishing season could possibly have quite good fishing and also a pub very close by. The new toilet block is now open and for a £5 returnable deposit one can get one of ten keys to the six showers. Showers are adequate but during our visit very dirty. Toilets are the same, dirty during our visit and at best adequate. The new toilet /shower block although now completed was done to a very minimal budget. Pitches are not marked out; the owners guide you to where about to pitch. During our stay, there was very loud music every night till 1am. This is definitely a no frills very basic campsite.
