We leave our caravan at this site and have done so for the past four years. Brean itself is a busy place, ideal for families, but where this site is situated is away from the crowds in a very picturesque part of Brean, and some parts of the site are right on the sea wall and the beach is seconds away and ideal for children and families.
The toilet block and showers are pretty basic but always kept very clean, with special touches like vases of flowers. There are no laundry facilities here. But there is a washing up facility where you will find a small library of books and magazines.
The Wardens are very friendly and approachable and go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The storage here is very safe and you can have your caravan brought over to your pitch ready for you to use by the owners of the site.
Channel View is ideal for families or for couples, who like to relax in a quieter part of the resort, but near enough to enjoy all the facilities Brean has in store. One last thing the sunsets in the evening from the site across the Bristol Channel are particularly beautiful.

Arrived here bank holiday and was quite surprised to see only a few tents, touring caravan field on beach side of road was packed, but soon found out why! although a lovely basic site its way to close to the sea for a tent, the caravans were rocking in the sea winds but our tent got smashed to smithereens! very open field, so no where to try and get shelter either.
Owners were friendly and very understanding, as lots of people spent the night in their car and packed up in the morning like us! Toilets were ok with private key so anybody who wanders off the beach can't get in just residents. Never used showers just checked into premier inn at weston super mare and had one there!

Being aged 60 and camped and caravanned for the last 55 years 2 times a year from a small lad.And most of the major sites in brean. At last found the site that suits. Quiet due to fact that kids can play on beach and not on park, toilet facilities are not the best but at least are clean and well looked after.
Shops are close and hot food outlets are close. Close to beach just over the wall from site.Steps down to or drive your car onto beach 50 yards from site. Nice friendly staff. As someone else said make sure you have storm straps as wind can blow a bit hard.Have different paddocks one with sea view.Electric hook ups. Water and waste close to pitches.

Have just returned from this camp site and would have to say the facilities are very basic. The toilets and shower block are very old and need a key for access. Showers cost 20p for a couple of minutes so take plenty of 20 pences.

The warden is a friendly and helpful gentleman, but if staying in a tent be warned it gets extremely windy.

We had two tents in our party, a Vango and an Outwell, having spent a stormy night in them, we had to pack up and go home the following day as they both suffered with broken poles.

It's a shame as the beach was so close but we didn't get a chance to even venture on it.

We have just spent 4 nights at this site what a wonderful experience.

We are an elderly couple who just wanted a nice relaxing holiday with a nice view.

We paid extra for sea view well recommended wake up in the morning to the sound of the sea and waves my wife would open front window and for first 15 mins then make a cup of tea relax and fall asleep again. It was such a restful experience.

On arriving I found my jockey wheel had broken hit something the staff were so helpful they came and positioned caravan for me with a big smile so helpful.

Not much for a family as no club house or entertainment which was just what we where looking for.

It was so good we are now thinking of sitting caravan all next summer only site that I have wanted to do this on.

If you want to relax and a chance to recharge your batteries and chill out I would give this site 4 stars.

It has toilet Block that you pay £5 deposit for key it has showers I think you use 20 pence for but we had our own.

Plenty of water points electric hook ups waste disposal.

Site is kept very clean and tidy with top gate shut for caravan safty of a night.

To get to beach their are steps to get over concrete wall and rocks to get onto beach.

To the right their is a large hill some 280 steps to the top where you can see brean burnam on sea one side and weston from the other side.

At the bottom of road short walk their is a cafe and a pub.

In burnam many shops post office pubs clubs also pontins you can go in for the day.

Only down side when sea goes out its goes so far you cannot see.

Well worth a visit in my opinion

This was our first camping holiday since 2003, we booked a little late and found only this site available in the area. We also had electric hook up for the first time which we were excited about.

First impressions with the wardens was not great to be honest, not over welcoming, didn't tell us where the shower / toilet block was.

There was another couple in our pitch which was resolved eventually with the owner getting involved, not ideal when you arrive after a a long journey, it wasn't the couples fault, they were told by the warden days earlier that they could pitch there !

The shower / toilet block was basic but clean - we had to cross the small country road that splits the site between tents and tourers etc. It was windy most days which we gather is usual for this location - it was great for flying the kite we'd bought.

The beach is just the other side of the touring field which was a big plus. A walk on Brean Down is a must as it's breathtaking. The site is smaller than most in the area and hence quieter which was another big plus.

Showers take 20p coins and you get thro approx 40-60p for a shower which was aways nice and hot.

No shop on site but just down the road was a supermarket called Bunnies on Warrens Farm site which was good as well as another store / post office a little further on.

The two closest pubs for food - Brean Down and Beachcomer, the latter we tried for a carvery which was nice.

First time we'd tried Brean/Burnham - Diamond touring park not far away looked a nice park too.

To some up this site, it was nicely situated but we would have preferred the owners/ wardens to be very helpful and friendly and we felt this was lacking a little, other than that they did leave us to our own devices in fairness.

This was our first ever camping trip. Ended up here after looking round most of the other sites in brean at the bank holiday weekend. All were full except this one which did not look very promising! But to our surprise we had a lovely 2 days. Everybody was so friendly.
We could choose where we wanted to pitch the tent and to our 8 year old daughters delight we were just the other side of the wall from the beach. Needless to say it did not cost a penny to entertain her.
Toilet and shower block was ok, could have done with a bit more time for the shower.(make sure you take plenty of twenty pence pieces!) Lovely walk to brean down, shops and entertainment short walk up the road which meant it was a nice quiet site. Will go back again, if not this year, definitely next year.

We reserved a pitch over the telephone and turned up the following morning, a lovely site. If you put an awning up make sure you have your storm strap with you because it can get a bit breezy from the sea which is literally 20 feet away over a 5ft wall with storm breaking rocks. But don't let the wind put you off.
We had a great time, there are shower blocks and toilets which we didn't use so can't comment on them. The site itself is very narrow so if you are nervous of reversing into a pitch don't worry the owner will do it for you with his tiny tractor and towball. Great views of the countryside opposite the sea.
There's no shop on site but there are pubs/shops/chip shops about a 10 minute walk away. You can pull your car on the beach but if you do beware the fast turning tide. Also a dog friendly site and beach. Also you can arrive at no earlier than 11am and must be off for 11 am when you leave.

This was the first time we'd ever camped,to be quite honest I was dreading it,i tried to book another campsite but they were fully booked.

We turned up on the day and decided to try channel view, I loved it here. There wasn't many other tourers in the field we choose (had a choice where we wanted to pitch) which was nice. The weather was a bit breezy but didn't bother us. Kids could play in field no one moaning etc. There are 2 lots of shower/toilet blocks to use which are adequate but you dont get long for the 20p you put in slot. I spent about £1 and that was in about 5 min plus. Be careful not to drop money has it goes down the drain. Electric hook up is available but we didn't use it this time.

I am glad the other site was booked has I got to experience this site which is next to the downs and right by beach so no extra cost to park on beach, there is no club house or shop but we liked this as saved more money(didn't have kids moaning for sweets etc)and the kids just loved playing outside until it got dark.

There is a shop 5 min walk, pub, cafe, chinese and chip shop.

We will be going back again soon.

Visited on a very wet windy weekend, wehad booked somewhere else but the field had been flooded, tried a few other places all the same either fully booked or flooded. The warden and wife here were very helpful and pleasant and found us four pitches together for our party.

The showers and toilet were basic but always clean, with handwash and lots of loo paper.

No other amenities on site but only a short walk away ( about 10 Minutes).

Nice field and kids really enjoyed there stay, very handy for the beach and if you want a quiet holiday, unfortunately for us the wind was to much for our tent ( field very open so wind howled through it,ours not the only tent to get damaged )on the second night so we came home, but you cant blame the owner for the weather, prices about average for August, and if space available can pay daily so if like us weather awful dont lose to much money.
