Just back from our THIRD visit to this site within it's first year, since we were the very first guests arriving one day before it's opening. We can safely say that everything is as clean and as good as the first day we arrived one year ago! Julie and Justin, the Managers now running the site are as friendly and as helpful as the owners Brian and Louie (who were, by chance, staying there the same weekend as us) The toilets are impeccable. We have met some dear people who we hope to meet up with again this summer. Julie and Justin work hard to keep everyone happy and despite the weather we had, everyone leaves rested and booking their next visit back. Well done to WESTWOOD!

Just returned from bank holiday weekend stay at this site. The owners were friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets were spotless. There is a large tesco quite nearby. All in all a good site that we would use again.

'I LIKE THIS SITE' We stumbled upon this site just by chance and were pleasantly supprised at how good it was. The toilet Facilities are exceptional, The pitches are level, and the managers welcomed us warmly. The whole stay we found was peaceful and laid back, (Just what the doctor ordered) I cant wait to return.

After staying on site with our trailer tent we upgraded to a tourer and have booked a seasonal pitch. The facilities and helpful staff was a major factor on the decision to stay. The facilities and grounds are still as well kept as when we went earlier in the year. Would recommend this site to anyone who wants a quiet relaxing time

Arrived late on Friday, first impressions of the site were amazing, site was very well kept, toilet blocks were spotless, everything worked. Water and Electric hook-up points were all close-by. The site owners stayed on-site and were eager to make sure your stay was as pleasant as possible, any problems were resolved quickly. Even though the site was close to a road, it was very quiet and peaceful. Everyone was friendly and helpful The Maybush Inn is fantastic for food and valve or money, 2 major towns within 20 minutes drive.

Spent a weekend here, after the rain we had the week before, the ground was dry and firm. Pitches are marked by chains and were ample for a large tent and a pup tent. Entry to the site is via a barrier with a pass card (£5 deposit) Toilet block is superb, kept very clean by the owners, showers hot and the water pressure is good. Washing up sinks are under shelter although we managed to dodge rain so can't tell if they'd protect you in a shower. Site has a no ball games rule, there is a small play area at the far end. This isn't an issue I'd say as you have Rendlesham Forest just up the A12, which is big enough to wear kids and grown ups out alike. It's a new site and anything that's missing, like a freezer is on it's way, once they've made the money to buy one. Staff are friendly and have a great enthusiasm for the place, it's great to hear them talk about what they are doing. All in all a great little site for a short break or as other reviews have said a base to visit the hundreds of great places in Suffolk as you are 10 minutes from the A12/A14. We have stayed at other sites for twice the price a night and I have to say, this was a far more rewarding camping experience and a far nicer place to stay.

Just wanted to leave this review after spending a night on this site.It was our first time out with our trailer tent. The site and it`s facilities were spotless and all that you could want ,including disabled facilities ,washing-up sinks etc. The young couple looking after the site were most pleasant and helpful. The shops were about 2-3 miles away but included a very large Tesco extra We have booked to go back for the august bank holiday

Used this site because it was not far from home and it was our first camping trip for the season. The site is new and in good order, the owners were helpful and offered help and advice. The toilet block was fantastic, clean and brand new. The site is small and there are not many places for the kids to play, the campsite has a no ball game rule, so if you are using this site for a base to go to some of the lovely places around Suffolk and Norfolk then this is a perfect location. Near the A14, but not too near that you hear the traffic. I would re-visit without any hesitation.

Site clean, tidy, well cared for. Pitches could do with being roomier, van with awning means putting car in front. Enthusiastic couple (not Brian and Louie) were in charge, helpful when pitching, came round to take orders for papers on the Saturday, friendly and pleasant. Tents/vans with children encouraged to pitch on far end of site where there is a designated play area. This was much appreciated as our end was definitely quieter. £5 refundable deposit for barrier, free hot showers. Got into the habit of making sure we had ample toilet roll with us when using toilet block as more often than not it was all gone! Unfortunately there was road noise - in particular motorbikes as site on a straight stretch of road, neighbouring farmer at work on his tractor early Saturday morning was a bit of a pain. 5ish miles from nearest Tescos, not even a paper shop in near vicinity, nowhere to walk to at all. Out and about we visited The May Bush Inn at Waldringfield - what a place. Wonderful views of boats on the water from their conservatory, menu extensive and beautifully cooked. An absolutely gem of a pub, reasonably priced too. To be fair we were here on Bank Holiday when it rained and rained some more so perhaps we didn't enjoy as much as we could have. We may return, if only to visit the May Bush Inn!

My family and I visited this campsite during the Easter break. The area was very peaceful and attractive during the spring season. There are plenty of places to visit for all ages near by including some lovely restaurants. The campsite itself was very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful, informative and friendly and especially good with children. (in the past I have visited sites with no patience for little ones). I would recommend this campsite to campers of all ages and will certainly return myself next year. This would also make a great campsite for caravan clubs to meet such as the ACC etc. Thanks to all the staff at Westwood Caravan Park.
