All I can say about this place is do not go.
Although the toilets are cleaned once in the morning, they quickly become very dirty as the site is quite big. The showers are awful, with only one working by dispensing lukewarm water.
A member of staff have to come and switch your electric on, which they did after a 6 hour wait and a chase up phone call.
The place looks like a building site with kids playing in piles of rubble. There are louts swearing, shouting and playing football / cricket around you.
We had a big dog walking around our bay with no lead and kindly left mess.
On a positive note, the site is located between the river and the steam train line into Bridgenorth with some excellent cycle routes, but this does not make up for an awful place.

We stayed at the Unicorn site over the August bank Holiday weekend, so it was obviously very busy with a mixture of 16 year olds celebrating their GCSEs and drunken middle aged couples screaming at one another well into the early hours. Generally, however, there was a good atmosphere about the place. The campsite is a long flat strip of land on the banks of the River Severn. The surrounding countryside is picturesque with the steam trains passing on a regular basis.
The Unicorn pub sell a decent pint and the food was very reasonably priced with cheap speials every Wednesday. The area has much to offer. We went to Bridgnorth, Iron Bridge and Blists Hill Victorian Town.
The facilities were a basic breeze block shower/ toilet, with only one of the 3 showers having hot water. The toilets were cleaned every morning and toilet paper replenished. The wall of the middle toilet was smeared in faeces, which was a feature of the entire stay.
The river can be fished for £5 a day, although I understand that it tends to be over fished. There is a rather run down children's play area, which nontheless attracted the kids. There is a new owner, who comes around for a chat and seemed a pleasant bloke
We would return to this site, because we love Shropshire and it is an hour from Stoke, although maybe not on a bank holiday

This was our 1st visit here to the Unicorn Inn, and I must say we have booked to come back again. We had a lovely time, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nearly all the pitches are on level ground and the views are just beautiful. There is plenty of fishing and Bridgnorth itself is only a few minutes drive away. The food in the pub is lovely and plenty of it, and the evening entertainment is very lively which was great. The only thing we had to pick about really was the shower blocks, they are in need of a makeover and could be cleaned a bit more often. Dave and the team are available to any need and nothing is to much trouble. If you would like a relaxing time during the day and something a bit more livelier at night , then this is perfect for you, even if you want just a quiet drink you can choose the other bar .

We had not been down the Unicorn for a couple of years as we had a bad experience the last time we went down .But we gave it the benefit of the doubt so we tried it again .We spent the weekend there and met the new managers as sadly the owner had died. Dave and Carol were very welcoming, and booked us in, we actually received site rules which were a first as in all the years we had been there before we never had been given any. So far so good. The weekend was good and the weather was great. What a nice surprise to see they have traditional ales on as well now. Real home cooked food none of this pre cooked microwave rubbish like we had before .Good food, good beer and good weather what more can we say apart from were glad we gave it a second chance . The toilet block is not the newest of buildings but it serves its purpose, all in all it was well worth us giving it a second chance

My family and I were at the site over may day weekend and whitsun weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Yes a little noise from some rowdy family but the manager dealt with them and subsequently they left. The site is basic, showers, toilet blocks are fine but basic, the pub serves brilliant food and the staff make you very welcome. My only criticism is that they could do with limiting the amount of tents during bank holidays as it get very over crowded.

Been here a good few times and find it really good, kids love it,and grandkids, you can find a quiet corner, if that's what you need.
This is a fun place to be not a, ' I need to be asleep by ten type of person, if you have the children, book near the EHU at the park end. But ALWAYS be on the lookout for your children, VERY near the river.
Disco's on different days, at night of course, I find the food good for the money.
I used to have a tent and loved it, now got an old camper, even better.
This site has got quite popular lately, going to have to start booking.

As a fisherman, I went to pay unicorn inn a visit with the family to see how the river was shaping up. Had a brilliant time, kids enjoyed the park and loads of scenic views to take in while walking the dogs. Food was really nice and a good variety of alcohol since the new management has taken over
Also discovered the stretch of river around the blue bridge which was once overgrown and belonged to the barbell society and produced some big fish has been taken over and is available on a day ticket, looks really nice with comfortable pegs

A group of us (adults and children) stopped for 2 nights at Easter and had a great time and have now re-booked to go back. Site is more suited to those wanting a more lively camping experience. Site is situated between Bridgnorth and Highley. Make sure you head towards Highley and not on the other side of the River Severn on the Kidderminster rd as it's a long round trip if you get it wrong. Pub on site serves good food. Small children's park. Toilet block is basic but ok with free showers. Ladies toilets have washing-up sink and drainer with plenty of hot water. Site is next to river. Some electric hook-ups. Dogs allowed but should be on leads at all times. Nearest shops at Highley (about 2.5 miles away).
Bridgnorth is nice old market town (about 6 miles away). Hampton Loade foot ferry should now be back in operation taking foot passengers across River Severn to other side. Plenty of nice walks.

My wife and I decided to go for a quiet bank holiday, we both love fishing so we headed for this site. BIG MISTAKE!
We pitched our tent only to have free roaming dogs run wild, a child no older than six years on a mini motorcycle without a helmet ride over our outside blanket with his parents just laughing. Things got worse from that moment on with dimwits drinking lager from cans and swearing every other word, some clearly under the drinking age.
Constant noise from car stereos along with cars being driven without any care to other people didn't help. The toilet blocks were awful, empty cans left in the sinks, toilets unflushed, I didn't even attempt the showers. From dusk until the early hours of Sunday there was drunken singing, along with arguments and the custom foul language. The site is operated by the pub landlord, nothing was done to contain the noise a mayhem upon the site.
It is the first time in my 30 years of camping that I have felt at risk from neighbouring campers. I am glad we didn't take our children as they would have been terrified by the surrounding ambience.

We had a brilliant time at the unicorn campsite. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The pub on site was lovely, reasonably priced and the food menu had lots of variety. The campsite was very clean and looked after. You have the view of the river and steam trains go by. The showers and toilets were average they were fairly clean just an old set out. But wasn't a problem, at the end of the day YOUR CAMPING! I really enjoyed it, would highly recommend, will be going back.
