A little treasure of a campsite, small and good for privacy with stunning views over the mountains and a stream at the bottom field. Basic but clean facilities, including an electric kettle available. We were guided down the track to the site by the farm cat who is an amazing host and popped over frequently to make sure we were comfortable! The cat's human, Tom, was also friendly and helpful.
Best of all, fire pit and logs available to burn which helped keep the midges off. Definitely a place to revisit.

What can I say about this wonderful little campsite. 2 fields to choose from and basic essentials provided. Great having a fridge freezer available and kettle. No frills camping at a fabulous price. Tom very friendly and helpful. My 11yr old loved having a fire pit to build a fire to cook on. The stream at the bottom is a perfect place for kids to play. We had a clear night so no midges to worry about. The farm cat very friendly and popped over several times for a fuss. Superb access for climbing Fan y Big. We will definitely be back.

Great family site. Wonderful location - super views and access to walks in the Beacons. The stream offers lots of exploring opportunities. Most importantly for us - Thomas has a supply of firewood (£5 per crate) and fire pits, which makes toasting marshmallows in the evenings a real highlight with the kids.

Just returned from a fantastic 2 nights at Pentwyn. We walked from the campsite up the back of Fan Y Big and the rest of the peaks. A fantastic campsite with great facilities and views. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to be away from it all but looked after. Definitely the place for walkers.

We loved this place! Yes it is quite basic but that is exactly what we were looking for. The setting is beautiful within a short walk of the national park. Thomas was very friendly and helpful with lots of local tips. The facilities on the site are clean and functional there is also a kitchen with a kettle which was nice first thing in the morning. Thomas also supplies a fire pit which really takes this place to the top of the list.
So if you want a friendly beautiful quiet setting to sit around the fire then I couldn't recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back.

A great site, the owner Thomas was a great guy, welcoming and friendly. The site is well maintained and the facilities are clean, only a couple of niggles that are not worthy of posting here although I did put them in his vistor book. There's a 'secret pitch' which I didn't find on my first time here, it would be magical to camp there although the midges may be an issue. Only issue worth noting is the roads to this campsite are single track but there's not much traffic so wasn't a problem but may be if it gets busy. I would recommend. (The guys from Liverpool).

Excellent! 5* 11/10 if you want a site which is small ( but plenty of space for privacy) and friendly, then this is the place to stay! we were not sure about the single toilet/shower block when we booked. But it worked out fine! Toilets and shower area are clean. Though you pay 50p for the showers you do get fair amount of time and water is constant! No waiting no fuss. In fact the site is managed to avoid any such issues and thus makes it a very quiet place to stay. A great view when you open the tent flap in the morning too! Maybe one of the minimalist sites we have stayed at BUT yet one of the best. We would recommend to friends and family!

This is the best campsite we have ever used! The location is superb! You can choose to pitch at the top of the field with fabulous views of the surrounding hills or on the lower level adjacent to the stream. The field is completely unspoiled and quiet. It is not a highly managed site with marked out pitches etc, you can choose to pitch wherever there is a space. However the owner is extremely helpful if you need anything. The facilities are basic but all you need and are clean and tidy. It was particularly good to have access to an electric kettle and fridge freezer. We will definitely return to this campsite and recommend you pay a visit if you like the peace and quiet of the countryside. Don't hesitate to recommend it.

What we enjoyed most was the gorgeous setting and the views. The main camping field was pretty flat with a steep grassy track to go down to a lower field (wheelbarrows provided for transporting tent). Beyond this, even lower was an idyllic camping spot for about 3 tents right on the river, all set up with a permanent camp fire spot. Absolutely beautiful, but a long way from the toilet block!
There is a lovely laid back vibe here and although there is no play area our kids found plenty to do.
The toilet and shower facilities are large but basic and there is a 'kitchen' area with kettle and toaster which was handy. There were plenty of fire pits and wood.
The campsite was well away from the main road so the only noise was from animals and the only traffic was coming to the site or leaving it. A good base for climbing Pen Y Fan and would be a great place for star gazing, shame it was cloudy for us.
We had a fantastic time, thank you.

Lovely. Secluded spot next to a tidy working farm facility. It is not the easiest to find - do not use GPS, follow Thomas's directions and you will have no problems - just be prepared for single track roads with few turn outs! Very secluded but the main town is 10mins away with Huge Morrisons and Aldi.
The facilities are very good - clean and spacious. Shower is one huge wet room - the 50p time is generous, but since the room is very large (4x3M), you can access more coins as needed. Toilets are shared but large and clean. Washing area has a few benches and adequate washing up kit. Hot water is via free elect tap.
Plenty of water and fire wood! Large bag for £5 - self service with effective fire pits included - they even have wheelbarrows to get the heavy fire pits & wood to your site (only 100M max).
The site itself is sloped in two directions, so not completely flat. It is narrow and only one side is flat enough for tents, so it might be tight for more than 20 tents along the latest bit (cars would need to be parked opposite side of field).
Ideal for access to Pen y Big and Pen y Fan! Highly recommend if you want to experience a fantastic circuit of top 3 peak in Breacons without the hassle of the main car parks!
All in all a very pleasant site.
