August 2004 Very nice site. Manager is a great bloke. Always ready to help. I think for the size of the site, which is big, it could have done with some form of entertainment, ie, club house. One word of warning, try not to pitch your tent in the caravan bays. You cant get your pegs in as the ground is 99% concrete. Otherwise a great site. 8/10

August 2004 This was our first time camping and was very pleased with the site. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately when we visited the weather was not too good. It had rained the week before so the ground was quite wet. We were very near the toilet / shower block which was clean and tidy at all times we used it and had plenty of hot water for showering. It was very near the river where we had a pleasant walk along in the evening. We would definately go back again. The price was also very reasonable.

August 2004 Although weather not brilliant - flooding caused tent fields to be closed!! the warden and wife were VERY helpful - not only advising on attractions in the area but giving directions, etc, too. Convenient for toilets - showers always warm/hot - lovely! On my own with two boys (Jo n Tim, aged 8 n 6) and baby daughter Em (6 months) I found everything brilliant - the Cherry Tree pub does brilliant veggie food! ty!

May 2004 Stopped here on the Bank Holiday weekend and it was a great site. Clean and tidy with a river running right next to the site, great if you want to have little walks. Warden very helpful and friendly, breakfasts are available at around £3, the pitches are nice and private. Returning in the near future.

Sept 03 Quiet site run by very helpful warden. Separate enclosed pitches with hardstanding and grass. Excellent breakfasts provided - no cooking yourself - you only have to order the night before - very reasonably priced and good value for money
Next visit for us can't come too soon.

September 2003 I can only agree with earlier comments. This is a nice and peaceful site right by the river. The caravan pitches are seperated by well established hedges giving each pitch a feeling of privacy. The warden is very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Disabled facilities are provided - ask for a key on arrival. Laundry facilities also available. Prices were reasonable - £11.80 a night for caravan, awning, and electric. A small discount is offered to caravan club members, and also camping and caravan club members.(2 1/2 %) No Complaints.

August 2003 Just returned home from a great weekend at this site. Great place for the kids to be, with a fabulous play area and paddling pool to keep them cool on a hot summers day. Only advice I would give to anyone with a tent or awning to put up is have plenty of those heavy duty metal pegs, because plastic ones just wont do. We ended up having to leave half of them behind, because we couldnt get them out of the ground! :o) Nothing to complain about. Brilliant site!

July 2003 Just spent a weekend here. Me, Lynn, and my 3 children had a great time. If you are going in a tent with young children go to the left tent field as it is nice and secluded and away from the river. The play park and paddling pool next to the site will keep children occupied for hours. This site next to the river is great, great chippy up the road called the Sea Horse at Guide Post, and the Anglers Pub is ok for children on a Friday night, just a nice stroll away other side of the river. However, Karaoke on Saturday night! The Shower and WC Block is fairly aged but does the job and hot water all the time. The Warden is Great, any help needed just ask! The only thing which put a damper on the weekend was a lady who had too much to drink who was to the rear of our tent in a caravan and all words started with F!, just as well kids were fast asleep. Apart from that we would spend 3 nights here for a break with the kids anytime 10/10
