We spent 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We have a large tent and the pitch size was adequate. Due to the huge amounts of rain we have had, the pitch was very soft and quite muddy but they supplied us with bark chippings to put around the door area so the inside would not get muddy. The toilets and showers were only cleaned once a day and I did hear people complaining that the site had changed hands recently and used to be cleaned more than this. On one of the days (bank holiday) they were filthy, ran out of toilet paper and the sanitary bins were overflowing. However, after a couple of complaints from people they soon sorted it out and were fine for the rest of our stay. The family bathrooms were excellent costing £2 for half an hour. They had a bath, separate shower unit, toilet and bidet (not sure why) and loads of space. This meant the kids could have a bath while we used the shower without worrying about people waiting. The path to the beach is lovely and picturesque and takes only 15 mins. The beach is fabulous!. Our kids loved the site as it had a play park which was enclosed, rabbits and guinea pigs and a games room for the older ones. The one way system for cars also helps keep it safe for children. One of the best things about the park is the 'no noise after 10.30' policy, which everyone abides to, making it great for families with small children. All the staff were very cheerful and helpful. We had a lovely break and would definitely stay there again.

This site is very popular, and to appreciate it at it's best for camping or caravaning, I'd recommend going out of season. When we were there it had mainly large tents, the pitches were large enough but tight and some people had trouble parking their cars. This site has no TV Aeriel signal although I am told it may be available next year.(check first) Private bathrooms cost £2 for 1/2 an hour. I thought that was quite expensive. Nice footpath to the beach, about a 15 minute's walk, there are also shops, pub restaurant, chip shop, and crazy golf and putting just by the beach. Dogs are allowed on the beach. Confirm your pitch before you leave, ours had been cancelled without any confirmation, due to me paying on the internet? the owner did apologise and we were able to stay as planned.

We have just had a lovely two weeks staying in a static caravan at Sun Haven Valley Holiday Park in Mawgan Porth Cornwall. It is a very quiet site set in lovely valley, lovely walk to the beach. The owners Steve and Helen are very helpful. On arrival the caravan was spotless. The park is in an ideal location with lots of good surfing beaches very close by. We walked along the coastal path to Bedruthan Steps, fantastic coast line. The coastal path to Watergate Bay is more challenging but well worth the walk. Looking foward to returning next year a little gem!

We went here for our first ever camping trip - we had previously stayed in our campervan for a couple of nights but never before under canvas for a whole week! Firstly, campsite is just ideal for children. We camped with 2 other families (6 children in total) and the campsite felt safe and welcoming for them. There is also a 10.30 curfew which is ideal for getting your own children into bed and getting a reasonable night's sleep yourself! The site itself is visually very pretty, in a valley, with a wooded walk of about 15 mins to the beach. There is a good playground for younger children and well marked routes for vehicles. There is a shower & loo block, good washing up facilities, shower for swilling wetsuits & freezer. It would appear that the current owners have not been there for long and I must confess that it did show in elements of organisation and keeping on top of the showers and loos - they were clean but could really have done with a thorough going over and more clean loo paper! Having said that, though, the owners were very helpful, the campsite is lovely and in a great situation and we are thinking of going back again next year!

We have just spent a week on this lovely site and would say this has been the best one we have stayed on . The views are outstanding overlooking hills and farmland. The site was well maintained with beautiful shrubs and flowers the caravan we stayed in was spotless and everything in it that you needed. Owners and staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The kids had a great time as they were able to play in the play area and the games room safely as it was such a quiet site, also a large green area in front of most caravans so we were able to keep are eye on them playing. We will definitely be booking up again for next year and well done to the new owners you made our stay a very pleasant one ! Also just to inform you tourers out there the camping field was just as nice with great ammenities with the same stunning views !

On arrival we were amazed by the beauty of this wonderful campsite. Lawns were perfectly mowed, flowers in bloom, and friendly faces on arrival. The campsite has allocated lots for tents, which is superb to have your own space. There were picnic benches dotted around which were free to use, which were brilliant for our party of 6 to sit together. While we visited, it was extremely quiet and there were only 2 or 3 other pitches taken up. It was great to have all of the facilities to ourselves. The showers were free, and there are also designated washing up & wetsuit/board rinsing areas. Also a massive freezer for ice blocks. You can also hire a bathroom for an hour for a small fee, which was superb since I love a good bath! The site also has a small shop selling the essentials, a TV room and games room. Also a lovely black cat which I could have taken home with me! I very nearly did. =) The only negative about our experience on this site is that during the evening it got very windy since the site is situated in the bottom of the valley. After dark it was quite chilly, and as new-campers we weren't prepared for this at all. We'll definitely return to the site, but come prepared for the wind, and maybe request a sheltered pitch.

We stayed here with our two children aged 7 & 11 yrs and some friends with children of similar ages. A lovely site with clean spacious shower block & landscaped areas which were spotless. there is a small playground which the children enjoyed and a TV room although we didn't use it. It was Bank Hols but the site was only half full probably due to heavy rain. A stream ran at the back of our pitch & when we arrived I thought it was v noisy however by end of the week I forgot it was even there! Our kids loved climbing the trees behind our tent too. A great little off-road walk to the beach which saved us a lot on parking (we'd paid £5 per day to park in Devon last year). Great surfing beach at Mawgan Porth & it has a couple of grocery shops, a pub, garage. You could purchase bread & milk on site which was useful otherwise a drive into Newquay for nearest local Superstore. Nice quiet site-would go again.

We spent the bank holiday weekend here and thought it was a lovely site. It was really quiet - only 5 pitches in use! The toilets & showers are clean and spacious. There were loads of other facilities - even microwaves! The pitches were plenty big enough for us. The location is good, it is only a short walk into Mawgan Porth where there is a lovely beach which is dog friendly all year round. We would go back here again.

Site was packed when we visited on August bank holiday. Some campers were a bit loud late at night but Keith had a word with them the following morning (presumably after complaints). Thought pitches were a little small, but maybe this was because it was packed. It's one of the best sites we have visited. They have thought of everything - microwaves, freezer, TV room, separate food prep area, wooden portable barbeques. Site very well kept and shower block clean. Keith was extremely helpful and full of local knowledge. Small grocery shop in Mawgan Porth and small village shop in St Mawgans. The food at the pub in St Mawgans looked good - better than the food served up in the pub in Mawgan Porth. Nice beachfront place to eat in nearby Watergate Bay. About a mile to walk to the lovely beach at Mawgan Porth.

We have just had a great fortnight's holiday on this campsite. Its family run and the owners are extremely helpful and welcoming. A good quality central facilities area - showers, toilets, washing up, veg prep, wetsuit showers, laundry, microwaves, freezers (for iceblocks). Large family bathrooms (toilet, handbasin, shower, bath, bidet and babychanging facilities in each) which can be hired for sluicing down the whole crew in one go! Plus a teeny shop, gamesroom, children's adventure play area, ball games field and a TV room.
A very well run, safe site with a relaxed, family atmosphere and quiet after 1030. My only gripe is that the touring pitches are smaller than I would expect to see on a five star site like this and when all the pitches were full it did feel a bit rammed - particularly if you had a couple of Diablos or two car families near you (we didn't, but some did).
A pleasant, mainly traffic free walk to a good family beach with lifeguards which allows dogs on and has good waves for surfing or bodyboarding. Easy to get out and about to Newquay, Padstow etc. Recommend!
