August 2005 Returned this year for a two week holiday after our first visit last year. First class site with first class facilities, pitches are well kept and in a nice setting and the shower/toilet block is immaculate. Play area, tv room and games room to keep the kids entertained. The owners are fantastic and can advise on things to do in the area. Camp is very secure and ideal for a relaxed family break, I think the fact that they allow only couples and families is a big bonus. I highly recommend Sun Haven Valley to both the first time and seasoned camper. I have already booked my holiday for 2006!

August 2005 We had a fantastic holiday here. The site was immaculately maintained, the owners couldn't have been more helpful and the facilities were spotless. Even in August, I only had to wait for a shower on 1 occasion for less than 5 mins. The site feels full but very quiet. There was no noise after about 10.30 and we were camped beside a lovely stream - great for the children. The walk to the beach was mostly off-road and it's worth saying that the beach was just right for us - surfing for OH and eldest, whilst the littlies played around the shallow stream that cuts down the beach.
There is a great shop/deli in the village so no need to pack lunches every day and they do real bread too. The area is a good base for all kinds of activities. I can't recommend this site highly enough - and I'm a really fussy gussy.

June 2004 Ideal location and large pitches. Very quiet at night which we found good having our baby with us, and a play area and games room for older children. Very clean toilet and shower block which we think is the best of any campsite we have been to. The walk into town down the wooded path is very pleasant and only takes about ten minutes. Its also a very good base to explore as Padstow, Newquey and St Ives are not to far away. The owners are very helpful and friendly and we will definitely be returning.

August 2004 Only the 2nd time we have been camping as a family and the 1st time on this site. What a wonderful place, beautiful gardens, well laid out site, showers and toilets incredible - you could eat your dinner off the floor!! Owners couldnt do enough for us,extremely friendly and helpful. No usual noisy facilities on site (bar, amusements etc) which for us was excellent. Very relaxing site, we are booking again for next year.

August 2004 First time campers and was very impressed with this campsite. All the facilities were kept to a high standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pitches were large enough for bigger tents. The playarea and games room kept my kids entertained. Are looking to book again in the near future

May 2004 Just returned today - this site is absoloutely faultless !!! We camped - huge pitch - beautiful surroundings - showers/toilets etc were immaculate. We are about to book for next year - have travelled throughout the world but have never had a holiday as special as this. The owners attend to the small things that really matter - this is a very special and beautiful place !

september 2003 I have been to this site about 25 times in the last 30 years. I have stayed here in a tent, in a touring caravan and in different grades of static caravan. It has developed from a field with sheep grazing alongside the tents and basic breeze block toilet into the beautiful site it is now. We have stayed as a young couple with no kids, with a baby less than one year old, with kids growing up and with teenage kids and latterly as an older couple. We have found that it suited our needs under each circumstance. It is by some margin our favourite site. We love the path to the beach and the walk across the fields to the Falcon pub in St. Mawgan. It is an excellent stepping off point for anywhere you might want to go in Cornwall. My kids now are starting to stay there with their friends. Please if you go there don't tell anyone else about it - its ours!

August 2003 Have visited Mawgan Porth for the last 6 years but first time camping here. Pitch was nice and flat. Toilets were only a short walk away even though our pitch was in the top corner of the park. Toilets/showers were clean/tidy and closed at the same time daily so you knew when they wouldn't be open, although there are alternative facilities at the top end of the park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only 20 minute walk to beach via public footpath but take a torch if you're going to be coming back on footpath after dark. Play area is great for little ones and the games room occupies slightly older kids. Our family enjoyed it so much we are going back again this august!
