We had a great time at this lovely little site. The hardstanding pitch was a real bonus, following the wet weather. The owners were very helpful and friendly even pitching the van for us. The children loved the play equipment and made lots of friends. It was a very safe enviironment and allowed us to give our children a bit of independence. The surrounding area was beautiful and we loved the different types of beaches. We enjoyed Folly Farm and Oakwoods Theme park. As a family we loved this site and have already booked to go again next year.

As per the previous reviews this site is a little Gem. The owners are more than helpful. The pea gravel tent pitches fantastic in the very heavy rain we had the week we stayed, they drained well and Simon (the owner) even made duck boards to save the grass around the pitch turning to mud. We had one night with noisy neighbours, but the owners asked them to leave the following morning. The kids loved the small play ground and made friends quickly, just enough children to play with without being overwhelmed. It is a fair walk to Wisemans Bridge beach with kids, but pleasant through the woods. From the beach at Wisemans Bridge you can walk through tunnels into Saundersfoot, which has some nice shops. You can park for free at Wisemans Bridge if you don't fancy the full walk. I had the nicest Mussels I have ever tasted in the Royal Oak in Saundersfoot (and the biggest portion).

This is a little hidden gem of a site on the doorstep of beautiful Pembrokeshire. Hardstanding makes life easy, facilities are more than adequate and the site rules are observed without fail. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed four nights here without an issue. Owners are friendly and helpful, and even assisted pushing the van in the right place. Interesting ironworks ruin over the road and a pub within walking distance at Wiseman's Bridge (right on the beach). Trees surround the site and make a wonderful noise to fall asleep to! You may have to look at many sites before finding one better than this. See you again for the family holiday next year.

This site looks nice from the pictures. I found the toilet block a bit grubby which was a shame. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The site has no shop. There is one washing machine so you have to wait in turn to use it. There is a nice children's play park which is right next to the road so we decided not to let our child go in it on their own. The site is 5 minutes to the beach. The beach has a car park which gets full up very early and is very expensive. This is a small site.

A fab little campsite! Its lovely and quiet, well laid out. Simon is very helpful (we took the wrong hose for our cooker). Its a bit chilly in the bathroom facilities but they are nice and clean. We especially liked having our own picnic table (all tent pitches have their own). Will definitely go again.

We echo all the previous (positive!) comments about this site - a truly fabulous find! Close to Saundersfoot and Tenby alike. I would also agree with watching your little ones - the 'lane', although not quite the M1, does see a fair amount of traffic, much of it travelling too fast. The iron works across the road is worth a visit - as is the woodland walk up to the colliery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Facilities adequate for the size of site (remembering there are some statics that have their own facilities), and always clean. Will certainly re-visit. Thanks to Simon and Amanda for a lovely weekend!

Small site surrounded by trees. All pitches are hard standing. Owner is very friendly and accommodating. TV ariel supplied. Toilet block has 3 toilets, sinks and 1 shower (50p meter) for ladies plus 2 toilets, 2 urinals, 2 sinks, 1 shower (50p) for gents. A bit tired but perfectly adequate and cleaned regularly. Central play area for children but keep a close eye on them as there is an inviting and interesting Heriatge Iron Works ruin opposite the campsite entrance just across the road, which, for a small lane is surprisingly busy. Lovely woodland walk down to the beach and Wiseman's Bridge Inn which serves food lunchtime and evenings and is dog friendly, has plenty of picnic tables outside with sweeping views of Carmarthen Bay. Coastal footpath to Amroth or, in the other direction, Saundersfoot. Tenby is a bit further on. Carew Castle and Tidal Mill is dog friendly and great for children especially when they have the re-enactments on. Carew Arms is across the road from the castle and serves very good food (and excellent desserts!) lunchtime and evenings and is dog friendly. Haverfordwest is 30 mins drive away with high street shops and Pembroke Castle is another dog friendly attraction which is excellent for children (and adults) and is well worth a visit. Folly Farm and Oakwood are also within easy reach of this campsite.

Small site with only 4 tent pitches. Were unsure what to expect from "all weather pitches" and although you are pitching on gravel; the tent pegs go in very easily and we did not need any rock pegs at all. The owners supply you with an extra groundsheet to put under your tent, giving a bit of padding. There is a road that runs alongside the park but the traffic is sparse and for 90% of the time all you can hear are birds chirping. The toilet block is basic but has everything you need and were clean and tidy. Yes you have to pay 50p for the showers but they lasted 10mins and was always very warm. The walk through the wooded, flat, valley is peaceful and quick and the beach at the end is gorgeous. There is a Co-op in kilgetty, 5mins in the car and sells everything from fresh meat and veg to washing machines and t.v.'s! lovely site, friendly owners; good wooded scenery and close to the sea. What more could you want.

This was our first trip with a trailer tent which I had done up over the winter. When we arrived Simon greeted us with a smile and showed us to our pitch. He offered rock pegs if we needed them along with an Ariel cable for the TV. Whilst we were putting up the tent the kids ran off to the little play area on the other side of the park. Our youngest came back within two minutes telling us about the boat and other things to play on / in with enthusiasm. Over weekend the main board for our part of the park kept tripping for what reason we don't know but Simon showed me the board and said if it happened again just flick it on myself. On Easter Sunday they had arranged an egg decorating contest for the children and a treasure hunt, with a cream egg for all the children who took part. The only problem with the site is you have to be quick off the mark to book for the bank holidays. The toilets & Shower were spotless On the morning of departure there was no hassle to be off by a certain time. Thank you to Simon & Amanda for a lovely weekend

My family (2 adults and 3 kids) had a fantastic stay here. Though with young children aged 6,5 & 2 the walk to the beach took 35 minutes, not 15. The walk back with tired, hungry children took almost an hour! Beautiful setting, quiet but within easy access of attractions and towns (if you have transport). This is quite a small site with 1 shower each for the men and women. We sometimes had to wait to use it. Great size shower room and handbasin for the family. The washing machine and tumble dryer were well priced with loose change, (and games and books to borrow) available from the office. Our visit here was the first in a new 9 berth tent, and only our second camping trip ever. The tent fitted onto the pitch but only just. Fortunately our neighbours weren't too concerned. The kids loved the playground. Not a site for families who are used to lots of space around their tent and a site with modern facilities. However, of the 4 campsites we tried last year, of all different shapes and sizes this was my favourite by far. Beautiful setting, unspoiled site, I hope I visit again.
