This site is fantastic, it has really good clean facilities - showers are 50p and this didn't run out on me! The pitches are a good size and if you struggle setting getting the van in position the owner is more than happy to lend a hand.

The kids loved the park with old boat, this kept them busy for hours. The site is well situated for exploring the surrounding area, you can take the walk along the river down to the beach and the old iron works across the road makes an interesting stroll. About 15min in the car and you are in Temby where the beaches are fantastic.

If you are undecided about this site I would say "go on give it a go" it's well worth it.

Need to repeat other favourable comments – everything they say is true The geo-textile groundsheet is much nicer than standard groundsheet material but make sure you fold it under to the profile of your tent so the rain doesn’t run in!
There are only two showers but we never had to wait. And a baby bath is thoughtfully available for little ones.
The walk to the beach is probably not one to attempt with small children and a day’s kit but it’s only five minutes’ drive and the parking’s free. The beach truly is one of the best – Saundersfoot has more sand but isn’t dog-friendly.
The Co-op in Kilgetty (5 minutes’ drive) is huge and, with the excellent Dai the Butcher across the road, makes a trip to one of the bigger towns for food shopping unnecessary. We’ll definitely be back!.

Had a lovely weekend stay , it is a clean and friendly site, and the owners Simon and Amanda where always on hand to offer help.
Although we have only a tent, the pitch available was a gravel one, Simon offered the us, use of a "Teram", and some rock pegs if we required them.
There are plenty of walks, either through the old Ironworks, or down to the beach, where you'll find a very nice pub to refresh the aching legs.

An absolutley super great site!! Simon ( the owner ) went out of his way , as we arrived late, to make us welcome. This was followed by a great holiday. The toilet, shower, laundry, wash facilities all EXCELLENT and spotless. Pitches were spacious and well designed and hook ups etc easily accesible. The site although small is well thought out and planned, having every holiday makers needs catered for. Great location, being only a short walk down to the beach through a shady path or by the road. This is truly paradise , we will definitley be returning to this site

When we found this site we found heaven. Our children found heaven and the dog was just bowled over. A beautiful place run by a lovely couple who were so helpful and always available. The site is very clean and tidy. The utility room is great and costs just £1.50 for a wash load, with facilities for washing up and ironing, (board and iron provided).I personally loved that the shower room was seperate from the toilets (I don't like cleaning my teeth when people are washing their hands after the loo!). The play area was a hit with our children, and as the site was small they could go off on their own and we could see them.

The miners walk is so gorgeous and the beach that it leads to is just amazing. There's a pub there that sells very decently priced food and drink, and a shop that sells all your essentials such as cereal and buckets and spades. We are already making arrangements to go back there next year and have convinced my mum and dad to come with us. This site deserves every one of it's four stars!

We had a great welcome from Simon the owner, he showed us to a choice of pitches & explained about the site & local interests. Site very quiet & well set out & situated well for all of Pembokeshire, just what you need for a great relaxing holiday. Shower/toilet blocks very clean & full laundry facilities available in adjacent block. Because of Welsh weather site owner landscaped tent pitches to all weather plots (pea gravel & drainage membrane) this is not a problem with good groundsheets (owner supplied extra geotextile sheeting for protection)

To sum it up - EXCELLENT SITE will be back soon

We booked into this campsite as a last minute decision on Friday night and the owner was very helpful on the phone. After an excellent first impression, on arrival it got better and better. The site is very small, and very well laid out. It has a large central grass area for children to play, a playground and even lends booksa and games to the visitors free of charge. The owner had agreed we could arrive a little late, he interrupted his dinner to welcome us and even backed the caravan onto the pitch as he said the angle could be a little awkward. Very warm, welcoming and helpful from the start.

As we had two dogs with us we were keen to see the promised dog walking area, and were pleasantly surprised by the old Heritage Mining ruins opposite (the dangerous parts are fenced in and acnnot be accessed) which has a walk that runs parallel to the road. This was a pleasant evening walk and we only saw one other couple but there was plenty of wildlife including bats and owls. The next morning we were up early for the morning walk and decided to follow the footpath almost opposite to the beach. The path takes you through lovely woodland (which was quite muddy the first morning and ankle deep in places the second - which the dogs loved rolling in. Take wellies) for about 15 minutes then it's a very short walk on the road and you are at Wiseman's Bridge beach. Our dogs thought they'd died and gone to heaven! Almost all the walk off the lead, and a beach at the end of it!

Although you can see the surrounding area from any of the campsites locally, this one is unique in it's warm, open atmosphere. I did try to book for later in the summer, but not surprisingly they have a lot of regular customers. Book early if you want to stay in this site. We certainly will!

A nice little site situated in a wooded valley. Nice clean, but basic facilities. Tenting area is small but does have electric hook-ups and tv aerial hook-ups. The site is run by a very friendly and helpful young couple. Touring pitches are limited as it is not a very big site. It is close to all amenities and it is just a short walk from the beach/shops and pub. There is also a nice pub just a short walk away, in the opposite direction, "Stepaside Inn" and they do excellent meals there. I can definitely recommend the site and would certainly go there again.
