Stayed here for a week during the main school holiday in August so the site was fairly full for the duration of our stay.
Great welcome from the site wardens on arrival although the cash card machine was broken so we had to pay the next day.
Lovely flat field and a great size pitch in the bottom corner of the field, by the windfarm, so we were as far away from the amenity block as you could get, But that was not a problem for us.
Toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. Water was hot every time I used it.
Although I thought the showers were a bit cramped.
There is a Kids playground and a enclosure for ball games, and a small fenced in dog walk.
It is a fair old walk into Mablethorpe , about 20 mins, but I think the town is OK. Sutton on Sea a little further along the cost is worth a visit.
A little tip. On the road outside the site gates go left and about the eighth house along a guy sells his own garden produce. We had a load of veg for £2.50. And next door a lady sells free range eggs.
We had a great week here and will return sometime.

The two of us (couple 28ish) spent a nice weekend here.
Weaknesses: At the very busy times there may be a little wait for the showers. Although at 8:30am and 9:15am we only had to wait 2-5 minutes. At the expensive end of the market, £20 per night.
Goodnesses: Very quiet. The managers are lovely and very accommodating (but, the lady that answered the phone and was loitering about the office when we arrived was a little miserable). The ground was very good for tent pegs and flat. They kept plenty of room between sites. Was easy to find. There were good toilets, showers, dishwashing and washing (£2per load) facilities. There is a little playground and a dog running area.
We would be more than happy to return. It was a quiet, comfortable couple of nights.

We found this site by accident as cruising around Mablethorpe and the sea front most sites are for caravans or statics only. We thought it was a little expensive at £19-90 for 2 people and a small tent but agreed to stay as it was now 3pm and we were anxious to get our tent pitched having never done it before. The site was not in walking distance to any local pubs and the beach was a good 10 mins drive away.(be prepared to pay £4 a day parking). The site itself was ok but the shower block was full of midges and mosquitoes being sited next to a dyke with windows left open all night. A simple net over the windows would have resolved this problem. So I shaved & showered surrounded by a mixture of dead (& some still alive) insects in the morning and the shower constantly turned itself off. The woman on reception was unfriendly and abrupt whilst the guy on the tractor was very helpful in finding us a nice pitch.

Spent 4 days here, 1st time to Mablethorpe and this campsite.
Lovely flat well kept site, very family friendly. Spotless toilets with lots of hot water. Plenty of kids cycling around on bikes and a separate fenced ball area. Fenced Doggy walk too.
We did walk to the beach & although flat it was quite a long way with a toddler in tow. My older kids thought Mablethorpe was great with all the amusements. Just like a mini Blackpool!
The beaches were beautiful, sandy and very clean. The seal sanctualry was great with a car park costing £2 per day but you got your money back if you went in the sanctuary. You are allowed to park in there all day as it is right on the beach [over the sand dunes] so we spent the rest of the day there sunning ourselves.
We had a very enjoyable few days.

No criticism's at all with this site, from the actual booking to the arrival we were made to feel welcome. All facilities well up to spec and the site overall was very clean and tidy.
There was plenty of room when we stayed and all residents observed site rules impeccably and were all friendly and polite.
Yes Mablethorpe itself isn't the most exciting seaside resort you will visit but its flat sea front walk and long beaches are perfect for strolling away a few hours.
We were on the beach one day for about two hours and were buzzed by a Memorial Flight Spitfire flying at about sixty feet and then another few metres down the beach watched as a fisherman released a three foot shark back into the sea. The kids were entranced by the shark as it swam with its fin above water for a few minutes.
To sum up. The site is great and Mablethorpe is OK too.

Myself and a friend went for a few days last year, the site was very clean and spacious, the team were very friendly and very helpful. The toilets were clean and warm. Hot showers. The town itself was small with more fish and chip shops than you could possibly need. A little like Blackpool really.
The beach was clean and had donkey rides, a fairground and ice cream stalls. At the far end of the beach was a sea life sanctuary with injured animals and the cutest seals. The wind turbines were lovely to watch in the sunset
It was not far to the pub and there was a supermarket in town with fresh food and nice wine.

We had a wonderful week and half on this site. The wardens were very helpful and they made us feel as if we belonged there. The toilets and showers were kept very clean. The grass was kept short. The childrens play area was kept tidy and in the middle of the field where you can keep your eyes on the kids. The site was very well organised and maintained. The pub is about 1/2-3/4 of a mile. You have to go through the town to get to the beach, about 1 mile. The town itself is very dog friendly. We'll be there again in May and possibly September

The site is clean and tidy, the managers we found to be miserable and unsociable unlike the assistant manager (a jordy, I think) who was very pleasant and informative. He told us so much about the local area in 5 minutes we couldn't remember it all, he should really write it all down and photocopy it for new campers to the area. Minus points about this site are it has a very small park and lots of midgies at dusk so take your repellent. The toilet blocks close about 11 for cleaning and don't open again until 12.30 why don't they do it mid afternoon when most people are out. When we are on holiday we like to have a lie in - but thats us. They lock the gate at 11pm! Not a problem if your in a caravan or tent, but we were in our camper van so we had to keep our eye on the clock. On the plus side. The sight of the wind turbines is wonderful we turned our camper round so we could open the back door and watch them in the morning sun with a brew, still in our sleeping bags - better than telly! Overall we were amazed how little there was to do in this place, so we went to Cleethorpes, which is bigger. We can recommend the stock car racing on the way to Skegness. If we did happen to find ourselves in this part of the country again (doubtful) we would choose a site with more entertainment.

Stopped here last minute over a wet weekend, stated when booking that we would be late getting onsite and they agreed, but got a little grief when we booked in anyway! Other than that bad start, the place was impeccable, the ground was good considering the rain we'd had, and the toilet block was superb. Plenty of space between units, small shop for the basics, and a better one at a site half mile towards town. Small playground in the middle of the grass field, 2 swings and a slide, viewable from most pitches in that field. Wind farm at the rear, but can't be heard, unlike the vast array of birdlife! Lovely site, close to the town centre, well run and we will visit again. We asked to stay onsite until after lunch to allow the canvas to dry, they not only said yes but didn't charge us for it either, splendid public relations when the site had plenty of room.

We spent one night here at the end of the half term holiday. We tried to book in advance but as it was peak season we were unable to book a pitch for any less than a seven night stay. However, we were advised that the site wasn't fully booked and could turn up on the day and they would fit us in!
The site appeared to be divided in to two main fields. Our field (the front one) had a small play area in the middle of it that our children loved. The rear field housed the toilets, washing up sinks and laundry room. As other reviewers have stated the toilet blocks were dated but very clean. EHU was extra.
Mablethorpe itself was OK if you like the cheesy seaside atmosphere! The donkey rides were great and the beach seemed clean.
We also discovered an amazing Indian restaurant upstairs on the corner of Spanish City opposite the beach front and amusements. It didn’t look like much from the outside but the food was fantastic!
We would return if we found ourselves back in this area.
