We stayed here for a few nights and were very impressed at the central location. If you have a car, there is loads to see in the local area and the beaches are stunning. However, we were a little disappointed with a few aspects of the site. The owners keep several dogs which have free run of the garden at the front of the site and barked quite often and as we were near the owners house this was a bit of a nuisance on a couple of occasions.
The room described as a family bathroom is actually the disabled bathroom facility with a loo, sink, wall mounted baby change table and 'walk in' shower. There was a rather old plastic baby bath which could be filled from this shower but the water temperature could not be controlled. The showers in the main block were too small to put a baby bath in and the showers, whilst lovely and hot, were the type you have to keep pressing the button, can not control the temperature for little ones and the shower head is fixed to the wall. Also, the disabled bathroom door did not have a lock on it so anyone could walk in whilst you were using the room! We asked the owners about this and they said they didn't want to give keys out in case they got lost! Owner's response: We no longer give out keys as this is a purpose built room and have had previous instances whereby people have been locked into and out of the room, we are looking to change the door and locking system for future seasons
The facilities were new and mostly clean although I did not appreciate being told by the owners that I would have to wait 30 mins to use the toilet whilst they closed all of them for cleaning at the same time. Owner's response: We have signs all over the amenity building stating that the toilets will be closed for cleaning during certain periods, if you read the signs you know what times we are closed for cleaning and thus would have been able to judge your visit to the toilet around them The kitchen was very useful and mostly clean apart from the odd camper who felt it was OK to leave their remains in the kitchen sink. I did not see any sign of the 'essentials shop', only a few old tent pegs and ice blocks for sale.
There is a lovely tea shop/cafe on the way down to Pen Bryn beach, next to the car park. There was a charge of £3 to park in this car park but the nearby overflow car park appeared to be free! We used the park and ride to get to the gorgeous beach at Mwynt. There is a suggested donation of 50p per adult return for this service. We visited Cardigan Island centre for the day and were impressed with the facilities and the good value food. Toys had been laid out for the children inside as the weather was not very good. It was lovely to see the Seals and the children loved feeding all the animals.

We have toured Britain, France and Spain camping on our motorbikes and we have never found a site offering as good a value as this one. The pitch size was massive for a single tent, grass cut and flat. £5-00 per night each! Excellent! Lovely clean toilets and free showers, Washing room with free use of Microwave, Kettle, Fridge & Freezer, Toaster, Iron and Spin Dryer etc. Free book library, Games and TV room. Kiddies play area. No access problem no matter what vehicle you have. We had to use transport to nearest pub for food but that wasn't to bad. I wish all sites were half as good.

We stayed here at the end of July / start of August. This site is right in the middle of everywhere for driving - cardigan bay is about 15 mins, Newquay about the same, and lots of little beaches dotted about in between. Aberporth and Newquay beaches are beautiful and for those with Dogs, there are separate sides here. There is a Tesco in cardigan bay for your shopping, and about a mile up the road is a little petrol station costcutter and a local pub.
The toilets were always clean here and I don't remember having to queue much. One thing to bear in mind if with small children, when we were there, the showers are like swimming pool ones where you push on when they run out. This meant it could seem too hot for young children.
We had electric hook up and I thought the price we paid for two adults and dog was great. The site can get a little flooded if bad weather, but it didn't affect our pitch too much. Sewn in groundsheets may help here!
There is a small play area for kids and a little garden size area to let the dog off for its business if it is fussy :) We walked down the road to a large fenced off field that had no cattle in and let ours run about there! If you are looking for somewhere central to many visiting places, this is just off the main road and I would recommend to you!

Just back from a long weekend over the Bank Holiday. The weather was dreadful but the site made up for it. We were welcomed by Paul who braved the rain and the wind to introduce himself, the facilities and the area.
The showers, loos etc were spotless and we never had to queue. The camper's kitchen was super - providing a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron etc. My daughter enjoyed the library.
A secure dog enclosure made it easy for us too.
On Friday evening we were lucky enough to see 2 bottle nosed dolphins at New Quay. The beaches around and about are all lovely but a car is almost essential.
All in all we had a great time and the field drained pretty well considering just how much rain there was.

We arrived to find our pitch (a very good size) close to the kids play area which was very handy for us. The amenities were excellent, the shower facilities were very good for families, with there being a toilet, sink and shower in the same cubicle. The owners were very helpful and friendly and willing to spend time giving you information. The downside being the weather, it rained for 5 days out of 7 and the site was pretty waterlogged although the owners did block off one route into the caravan field which stopped it from becoming worse than what it was. We would recommend the New Inn pub but go early on, we went at 6ish and it was fine but people arriving at about 7ish were being told it would be 45mins-1hr wait for food but the staff did let customers know before they ordered drinks. Overall the site is brilliant but at the moment we have fallen out with caravanning due to the awful weather, but if we did 'make up' we would go back to this site!

Well there not many campsites that get my 10/10 rating but this is it.
Toilets, excellent - immaculate and enough.
Showers, Excellent - immaculate and enough, didnt have to queue.
Pitches spot on and well layed out
Excellent facilities, playground for kids.
And there's not many campsites, that provide, Sauna, Freezer, Fridge, Washing Machine and Dryer, toaster, hot sinks for pots, kettle.
Superb Site and New Quay near by is definitely worth a visit.
Thanks guys for a great week, and keep up the good work.

Beautiful site. Pitches very spacious and well laid out. All facilities spotless and thoughtfully arranged. Toilet block superb - I normally use the shower in the caravan, but these were set out so well I used them - proper little bathrooms containing shower cubicle toilet and sink - great for showering myself and 2 kids without getting all the clothes wet! Lovely play area, which we could send our 4 year old to freely as we were parked so close to it.
Small dog area, not big enough to run in, but more than adequate for toileting and fully enclosed, so even if you have a mini Houdini, you can let them off the lead to do what she needs to do.
Area quiet and unspoilt, lovely uncommercialised beaches nearby. Tesco in Cardigan otherwise rely on small shops/petrol stations, but thats part of getting away from it!
Highly recommended for friendly relaxing site.

Not an easy tow after leaving the A40 but well worth the effort. An imaculate site beautifully maintained. We were met by and made very welcome by Liz who showed us to our fully serviced hard standing pitch.
Fantastic new facility block, best of all the disabled toilet/shower (oh being disabled)probably the best we've ever seen on site. Laundry room, besides the standard washing mahine, dryer and ironing facilities is kitted out with table & chairs plus toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge and freezer. Reckon the ladies could have lovely natter over a cup of tea whilst doing the laundry. Games room for the kids and a playground. A sauna adjoining which is bookable.
Londis shop at the next village 1 mile away or super markets in Cardigan 9 miles. Lovely beaches within a few minutes drive tho lanes very narrow.
This is a truly wonderful part of Wales even if the climate is a little on the damp side. We spent 4 memorable nights at Brynawelon and if you ever need a place to chill out then this is it !

We enjoyed our short stay here in spite of the rather mediocre weather.
The site is fairly high up, so is rather exposed to the elements and it did get rather windy - if in doubt, don't put up the awning! There had been several days of consistent rain, so the ground was a little muddy in places which gave it a poor look. Toilet block is fairly new and kept really well/ clean. Does have a newly built sauna (but let the owners know in advance if you wish to use it - they need time to get it stoaked up). The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. No real shop on site, there is a Londis store a mile up the road, but a childrens play area.
The site very reasonably priced, but I just wondered if the hardstanding pitches were a little close together. We did not put up our awning, but with a large unit (+awning) and a car, I would have thought it might be a little tight. ( Owner's comment : the hardstandings have a 4 metre grassed area between them, the hardstanding area size is 4.5 metres, giving a 8.5 metre by 8 metre pitch, and there's plenty of space to park at the front of the unit )
Our hardstanding pitch was fully serviced (super-pitch), but our waste hose was too short for the drain. We never did manage to find anywhere with the right size hose in stock (within a 25 mile radius), so gave up on this one. It would be useful if the site carried some of the more usual caravan and camping spares or even sold some basic provisions. ( Owner's comment: we have an army stores 1 mile away who supply the hose )
The site is close to some lovely beaches - we particularly like Llangrannog with easy (off season) parking almost on the beach, a pub (The Pentre Arms) and a cafe (with home made ice cream, welsh cakes etc,) also virtually on the beach. The Ship Inn was being refitted and the locals say will be reincarnated as a bistro.
I would like to see the site when the weather is much better, so perhaps we may return, after first carefully viewing the weather forcast.

The weather was awful but the site was fantastic. The washing facilities are the best we have ever had on a site.
We really enjoyed ourselves as the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The leisure room was out of action because of a nesting swallow but it was good to see them taking a stance on wildlife protection
We are definitely going back to this one.
