Access to the site quite easy to miss but once there we were met by the owner and booked in easily. His Wife was waiting at our pitch waiting to direct us on. Good sized pitch with fully serviced facilities. Although it was a hardstanding pitch the grass grows through the mesh and looks natural which we thought was a positive.
We also liked the bucket provided to encourage recycling which was backed up by clearly marked bins
The Games Room provided two old people with several hours of hilarious entertainment playing table tennis whilst trying to recapture our youth for only the cost of a deposit for hiring the equipment -fortunately there were no spectators to witness our efforts
The shower block was kept spotless and the recycling theme was echoed here too with the interesting shower doors made fom recycled plastic
This is a quiet, friendly site that has been developed with lots of thoughtful touches and it shows, so if you are looking for a break on the Sussex coast head to Chestnut Meadows where you will be welcomed with a smile.

Another fantastic weekend at Chestnut Meadow!
Beautiful, clean site surrounded by countryside - you really feel as though you're in the middle of nowhere, when actually Bexhill is just down the road. Great food served in the bistro style restaurant and the portions are HUGE. Breakfast good too.
The shower/toilet block is always clean (how do they manage that??) and blissfully warm on still chilly mornings. The whole family love this place and we have had the whole age range with us at different times from tots to great grandparents. Book and enjoy!

My family and I have just returned from a lovely weekend at this brilliant site.
When we arrived we were met by the warden who was very friendly and knowledgable about the local area, he showed us to our very large pitch and told us about their recycling scheme.
The toilet/shower blocks were the best my family have visited at any campsite they were bright, very clean and very well maintained as was the rest of the site. We used the cafe for a takeaway and all enjoyed our meals. My children aged 12 and 14 enjoyed the games room which was all free. We saw younger children using the outside playarea.
Chestnut Meadows was perfect for our weekend away as it was a very child and dog friendly site it and we would not hesitate to recommend to anybody.

First visit to this site, and first trip with our caravan since upgrading from a tent! Both were excellent. A fantastic site all round with good on site facilities and friendly staff. Great facilities for our kids (9, 11). Pitch was supersized giving plenty of space - although the weekend we were there that wasn't a problem as wet weekend and beginning of season - so only 6 pitches taken. Toilet/shower block was immaculate and it is the first site I've been to with hand sanitiser in the chemical toilet facility - big thumbs up here.
The site managed reasonable well with the constant rain. After 2 days solid it did get muddy - but hey your on a field! The site is an open field with no bushes/trees for separation. Not a problem for us.
My only worry with the site was the entrance, which we a little tricky to pull in to (first time with caravan remember) and I didn't notice a passing point along the driveway.
Despite the weather, we had an excellent time, enjoyed the facilities, nearby towns - a great typical British holiday ;-)
We will be going back very soon - we would encourage you to do the same.

For the 1st time ever camping I'm writing a review whilst still pitched at the site, using their wi-fi (£12. 50 for a week, so a good deal)!
Fabulous site, definitely lives up to it's reviews on here. Shower / toilet block best you could hope for. Clean, spacious, free nozzle style hairdryers that do actually dry your hair, free long lasting hot water. Washing up facilities also good, immaculate and come with dish drainers.
Staff really helpful and friendly, even weighed our gas bottle to convince us I didn't need to buy a re-fill just yet. It has a good shop, cafe with lovely outside seating area (though we didn't use it as out of season), kids playground and massive games room with free air hockey, snooker etc.
Lovely area, about 3 miles from Bexhill itself, but near local corner shops and takeaways in a village nearby. Tesco's, diy stores etc in Bexhill.
We will definitely use the site again if we ever come back to East Sussex.

Broadhembury Holiday Park - Ashford
Just 15 minutes from Ashford and 25 minutes from fabulous beaches, you'll be ideally placed for exploring the Garden of England. The park is divided into a family area, that is close to the play parks, the sports field and the games room, and a peaceful adult-only area in The Meadows, that is ideal for couples. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches, fully serviced or non electric, catering for all sized of tents and caravans.
On both areas you will enjoy five-star, centrally-heated showers, and private cubicles with toilet, hand basin, dryers etc. Laundry and campers kitchens, a large childrens playground, sports field, games room and television lounge. The park has CCTV and WiFi is available for a small fee. A dog walking area is provided on site. Find out more here

This is the second time this year that we have been to this site, the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The site very is very clean and well maintained the toilet block is the cleanest I have seen the only fly in the ointment is the access road which is single track.
The cafe was open in the morning through the week and evenings and mornings at weekends although we have no need of it there is a playground for the children and a club house with indoor games.
There are quite a lot of places in the local area to eat or take away. A foot path at the side of the camp is an excellent dog walk and takes you on to 82 acre wood land. All in all we had a very pleasant time at this site and will be returning again next season

Just returned home again following our 2nd camping trip to Chestnut Meadow. This was also the 2nd camping trip for our 4 year old daughter. As with our first visit everything was absolutely top notch. Clean and spotless and the facilities outstanding. Andy and the team were again exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our daughter is already asking to go back again. Roll on next year. We shall definitely be returning.

What a nice campsite! Great facilities, easy pitching on generous pitches - and we have a large tent. Friendly and enterprising owners seem to keep everything in order. The toilets and showers are fairly new, generous and kept squeaky clean.
The games room and outside play area kept the kids amused and the Cafe is great, if a little on the expensive side (for us skin-flints), but definitely a big plus for the campsite, very busy, always fully booked in the evenings & good luck to them - more campsites should take note! The takeaway menu was another great idea & the pizza was reasonably priced and very nice. Shame they couldn't do much about the weather!
We stayed for 5 nights and we had a super time as did girl (11), boy (8) and westie-dog (1). Very highly recommended by this family.

Very professional reception, nicely laid out park with central space for playing games.
Good sized pitches and lovely facilities Very clean and well stocked.
Useful indoor barn for wet weather play and really good on site restaurant. Small but great food.
All in all would recommend, my only advise re room for improvement would be that the play park area, it is a little basic and doesn't seem to get a lot of use, may need re thinking?
Returning next August

As our first camping trip with a young baby, I was very dubious, however there was no need to worry! Chestnut Meadows is an Excellent campsite! The staff are friendly and very helpful. Shower blocks and toilets were always clean and tidy as was the actual site. Food from the cafe was lovely(especially he cake!) and had a great park and indoor games hall for the kids! All in all we had a great first camping trip an will definitely return.
