This is a delightful site with views overlooking the sea from just about every corner of the site. The site is set back a little distance from the main road,so care is needed (My Sat Nav took me straight to the entrance). Reception sells milk and can order papers. Also at the entrance is a small information room. If you like walking there are some booklets with local walks in the area. The toilet block was closed and portacabins provided. They were clean and well maintained, though I would think there could be problems if the site became busy. The site slopes down to the cliff footpath (kids & dogs are safe due to fence) so levellers may be required. The small hardstandings comprise of paving slabs & gravel. A short distance from the site entrance is a Public House (Delaval Arms) I didn't eat there but was told the food was good. Two minutes from the Pub is a bus stop with a regular bus service (every 10 mins,Nos 308 or 309) to Whitley Bay or Newcastle. My tip would be to go to Whitley Bay and get the Metro to Newcastle as I was told the bus can take over an hour to Newcastle. The Metro takes about half an hour and the fare reasonable.(£3.30p return) to Shopping centre. From the club site a footpath takes you into Whitley Bay is good for walking & cycling, with observation points for watching birdlife. Takes about 40 mins to walk to Whitley Bay. Some nice shops & cafes. All in all this is a great site and I will be returning.Hope the weather will be better next time.

Wow what a view all pitches get a sea view some better than others. Very high standard as all Caravan Club sites. If you go to this site go north and visit the beaches unspoilt and empty. Free car parking at beaches that we went on. Dog friendly as well.

Well maintained CC site with fantastic views. Proprietors very friendly and helpful. Walks around the coast invigorating and breathtaking. Toilets spotless, showers good. Good spot to explore tyneside whitley bay newcastle etc. Slightly sloping sites, but no trouble levelling caravan. Bring extension kit for hook up it might be required.
Many good eating houses in the locality - try The Beehive.

Usual high standard of facilities we expect from the Caravan Club. About half an hours walk along the seafront to Whitley Bay shops and beach. The site looks out over the sea and St Mary's Lighthouse, which you can visit by a causeway when the tide is out. There is a coastal path running past the site which travels along the cliff top. Can catch the Metro into Newcastle on Tyne but didn't try this.
