 Campsite was great, people were great. Peaceful location set by the mountains. Cows were a bit noisy but got used to that. The Lake is beautiful but Wouldn't drive myself again the roads terrified me lol .Son loved the campfire experience would definitely visit again. Thank-you

Visited this site with a group of friends and it was absolutely ideal for us for a long weekend. What drew us to this site was that you can have camp fires and there was plenty of wood to keep the ol' camp fire going all weekend. Not much to say about the fascilites as there was only 1 shower and 3 toilets but they were clean enough.
The owners were absolutely superb, v friendly and helpful, the children were very friendly too. There was a group of girls stayed on the saturday night who caused a lot of noise until the early hours - needless to say their holiday was cut short as the owner did not mess around and had them removed the very next morning and for that we thank him.
All in all we had a fab weekend. Would recommend this site to large well behaved groups. Thanks for a great weekend.

We visited this site for a UKCS meet this May. A very basic site situated to the rear of a working farm. Basic toilet facilities, water and electric points. Other than that there was not very much else on site. Watch out if you walk through the farm yard to the house/reception as the dogs seem very fierce. They are working dogs and do seem to be tethered up very well but all the less they are quite scary. The site is a couple of miles from Bala but is OK if you are using it as a base for touring. All in all it is OK but if I went to the region again I would try another site.

Very basic site providing one basic ladies shower, 3 loos and wash-hand basins with no hot water or drier/handtowels, and washing up facilities (with hot water) of a fashion in the ladies loos - not sure if they had them in the mens? Plenty of fresh water pipes but no waste water points anywhere nr the pitches so we had to use the hedge.
We spent a wet but peaceful weekend here - just a pity the owner was a tad obsessed with getting us to pay the balance of the weekend less than an hour after we got there despite the fact we were struggling to set up camp with one adult and 2 kids in the rain AND we had already paid more than a 50% deposit!
Good base for touring the area and plenty of picnic sites etc & swimming pool in Bala too. Better suited to caravanners who don't need any facilities on the whole. Kids were worried about the farm dogs that were tied up nr to the reception area - not friendly as they are working dogs not pets so be careful if you have youngsters!
