We stayed on this site twice in June 2009. We were lucky enough to have one of the pitches with private facilities the first time we were there. As we were in a tent it was brilliant. Shower, toilet, handbasin, heated towel rail, storage cupboards all for an extra 2 euros a night. Brilliant value.
The second visit we weren't so lucky but the shower blocks were very good anyway.
As other reviewers have noted 5 minutes to everything in Pontorson. We can thoroughly recommend the Italian bistro (best lasagne we have ever had).
Cancale is a bit of a drive but well worth the visit as is the old town at St Malo. Dinant is also lovely.
We understand the site has now changed hands and believe the prices have increased so it is worth checking their website.
All in all a very nice site.

We found this site on the way to mont st michel and thought we would see if they had any availability for the night before we went to mont st michel.
We decided to stay the night and got to mont st michel the next day.
Its a wonderful site, I don't think I can recommend it enough, close enough to the town for going out to eat and so forth, plenty of things for the kids to do lovely bar area overlooking the pool, but still quite quiet.
It was also the cheapest site we stayed in on the trip and yet had the most amenities, I wish I had know about it before
Quite a large site so you do have to watch the children but I would probably say the best campsite I have stayed at

We visited the site in august 08 the first time we have been, we will definitely be returning. It was fantastic we spent 9 nights there with our tents, we were 3 families pitched next to each other, the children loved the parks and the bouncy castle, they had great fun with the mini disco out doors at 6 everyday, the pool and area around the pool were spotlessly clean. Showers fab water pressure great and boiling. The dishwashing facilities were clean and spacious, there was also a big recycling area. The bar was very pleasant and we ordered fresh bread and croissants through reception for our breakfast almost every day. The pizza takeaway 3 nights a week was delicious and made as you ordered. Supermarket within walking distance. Fabulous market in pontorson well worth a visit think it was on the Sunday very impressed. All staff at the site very polite and friendly. The curtis family will be spendning many a holiday here !

Just got back from a 2 week stay at Haliotis. The site is faultless, spotlessly clean, including toilets, showers etc., the bar is not noisy but very pleasant, the pool is small but not crowded at all and when it is closed it seems like it being cleaned constantly by a submarine type remote vacuum.
The staff (especially Cathy) couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
Here's a big tip!.If you're camping, ask for pitch No. 110, we had this pitch, we had two tents on it and could have got another couple on there easily, they only charge for the No. Of persons, not tents.
The bar area has wireless internet but pitch 110 is just out of range.
Very handy for St. Mont Michel, but the 'city' of Pontorson was very very quiet, lots of bars & restaurants but nearly all empty, if you're lucky you might catch a few shops actually open.
Avranches is a more lively option and very nice.
Good beaches for sunbathing are not easy to find, Carolles nr Granville is about the best, or take the coastal route to St Malo via Cancale and keep an eye for cars and campers parked on sandy verges for superb beaches with emerald seas.
There is a good supermarket 5 mins walk from the gate of the campsite with petrol too. Beware most supermarkets close at 12 on sundays.

We visited in May and end of June 2008. I took ill and needed 6 days in hospital, so our first stay was (for me) very short. The staff and owners could not have been more helpful. Such was our impressions of the site that we made an unscheduled return for our last 11 days.
The site is well kept and clean. It is the only pool that I witnessed being covered at night. We had full 16 amp on our pitch. I don't know if this is the same across the site.
Champion and Lidl supermarkets within easy walking distance (Lidl a little further). Plenty of shops. The adjoining small town of Pontorson is very attractive and we walked around several times. The site is easy for access to surrounding attractions, such as Mont St Michel, St. Malo, Dinan, Dinard, etc.
Haliotis is a definite for our next visit to France.

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time.
When we arrived we thought it was going to like a Haven but how wrong were we.It was a lot quieter than haven but still lots of things to do.
A 5 minute walk to the local super you which was great as it meant we didn't have to leave the site much in the motorhome.
Pontorson is a great area with Mont st Michel not to far away.
Excellent site would go back again.

Just to update that in June 2008 this site is still really super with everything in tip top condition and the town of Pontorson has everything needed for a holiday. We have camped in France for over 30 years now and we really enjoyed our 4 days here and will certainly return in the future.

Stayed here in May 2007 and loved the site. The owners were friendly and welcoming and even put up with our broken French! The pitches were big with large hedges aroung most of them, some were newer pitches and the hedges were smaller. The toilets were kept spotless. The shower block was also spotless and heated. There was an outdoor pool which was heated, a sauna, play area, indoor games room and bar. All were kept clean and tidy. They also had a small petting zoo and landscaped garden although these were work in progress when we stayed.
The campsite is in the town which had bars, shops, resturants, supermarkets and post offices. But the site was very quiet at night. The river towards St Micheals Mont runs past the campsite and you could hire bikes if you fancied the ride there along the river as a footpath goes all the way.
We loved this site and would stop there again.

What a brillant site, from the time you arrive until you leave everything is 100%. We stayed here for 10 days and I wish it could have been longer, Everything on site is for you.
You could not ask for anything better in a site.
When we arrived they informed us where our pitch was, and to go and have a look and if we didnt like it they would find us one we did like.
Facilities are clean and tidy.
Bad bits of the site. Can't think of any!
The site is walking distance to the town(5 min walk)
Everything is just 5 minutes walk, supermarket, garage, eating out places.
Local cycle route to 'Mont St Michel'.
I honestly believe if you don't like this site, give up caravaning, Its got everything.

We stayed here for two weeks early august. The reception was really pleasant, and we were asked to look at the pitch to see if we thought it suitable before we moved onto it. We were asked to pay at the end of the stay rather than at the start (refreshing)
The site has everything a family could wish for, including childrens club twice a day, lots of other activities, and a swimming pool open fairly late (8pm) to the point that we had to drag our 10 year old off the site for visits elswhere.
When we had a minor technical problem with the jockey wheel the staff were very accomodating top the point of providing a solution which cost me nothing. The townsfolk were very nice and good restaurants are plentiful The mosquitoes were the only minor downside as the site is by a river.
All in all though this is a great site and we intend to return to it soon. KP
