What a lovely site, nestled in the French countryside only a few miles from the coast.
All the amenities were clean and well kept and we had a warm and friendly welcome from Andrew and Jeanette.
St Gervais is the nearest small town and has a very good supermarket and several small shops including a bakery and a chemist and it's only 10 minutes drive from the site.
St Jean de Monts was our favourite resort with it's busy town and beautiful beach area.
We had a fantastic sunny days 5 days exploring the local resorts and towns and look forwards to taking our caravan there next year for a longer stay.

I stayed here for three nights in August.A rarity for me on a cycle camping tour where I tend to move on each day. I travel bare bones so staying here was the camping equivalent of checking into a luxury hotel!
On my arrival, I quickly set up and hit the showers - and returned to my spacious pitch to find a table and chair set out for me which was a very thoughtful and welcoming touch.
The second day I made use of the well stocked 'library', grabbing a novel before heading out to beach areas. A wonderful afternoon of cycling around and lying in the shade of the pine trees reading. And having done a grocery stop (there's a big super market about 4km away) that morning, I was able to come back to a chilled bottle of wine courtesy of the fridge in common area. Bliss.
Not quite ready to leave all this, the next day I cycled up to Pornic following the well marked cycled routes that start nearby.
All in all a very enjoyable, peaceful place to be, that is also very well priced. If you want to camp in the thick of crowded seaside sites that cost a whole lot more then this ain't the place for you!

We found this campsite through browsing this website and were very happy with it. Having driven for 2 days to get to the Vendee (from Glasgow) we decided to have a week at Le Fief Angibaud rather than moving on which was the original plan.
The children were 12 and 10 at the time and though there were no other children on site they had a great time (the little lime green wall climbing frog in the sanitaire was a particular favourite).
It's a quiet site which suited us - if you want an on site bar, swimming pool and disco go elsewhere. Our hosts were very welcoming and helped with any questions we had. Pitch price was very reasonable.
Location is central to most of what we wanted to do and see. Nearby beaches were clean, local pattiserie had the biggest pain au chocolate and was run by a lovely woman. We were there around 14 July - excellent time to go as the French have great local street events, dancing, local produce, fireworks etc. Hope to go back this year.

What a find! This small, quiet and friendly campsite is tucked away behind the village of Saint Gervais. This tranquil site has large, spacious, level pitches all with electric hook ups.The facilities are adequate and clean, there is a playing field, an area for dog walking and the rest is up to you. We booked to stay in the very comfortable chambre the first night as we arrived too late to set up the tent. The site was peaceful, relaxing and an excellent base for exploring the rest of the countryside and coast. Based in the salt marsh area of the Vendee it is ideal cycling country. There are plenty of quiet lanes and cycling routes to take you through the countryside and along the long stretches of beaches.Visiting the Ile de Noirmoutier is a must. I'm torn between keeping this 'gem' to myself and sharing it with others so they can enjoy it too!
