This was our first time out with our caravan, the nerves were already on a high.

The staff at the site could not have been more helpful, really good.

We were given a choice of where to set up so we chose the top level with a fantastic view over the bay looking out into the sea, brilliant sunset on our first night.

The facilities were excellent and spotless.

As we have two dogs the dog walking area was very good and more than adequate.

Overall stay was very good and would not hesitate to use this site again.

The site managers on this site are the best we have ever come across with the C&C Club. Even when under pressure they were cheerful & helpful.

The site facilities are excellent and clean.

The views are stunning, but it can be windy on the exposed site.

This is an ideal site for a touring base or just chilling.

The pitch sizes are enormous compared to other sites we've been to.

A very nice site that will only get better as the trees planted mature. Some of the nicest and most helpful wardens we have met, gave us the choice of the pitches on the upper level with fantastic views across the bay, TV reception excellent, mobile signal quite good. Toilet block and facility's spotless

Wardens suggested using the local train to get to Edinburgh instead of our car £18.40p return for the Two of us and a fabulous day out exploring this wonderful city was had with out the hassle of driving.

Can not recommend this site or the wardens highly enough. Location is just of the A1 so easy access for the East coast of Scotland.

This is a new site. We have been to this site twice, we found it to be open and exposed to the elements, can be very very windy, but young trees have been planted so eventually they will provide some shelter for the caravans. The toilet / shower block exceptional, very clean.

The staff on site have been friendly and very helpful. Plenty of space for caravan / awning and vehicle. There are two aspects to the site, higher and lower we have been on both, both equally as good.

If you enjoy walking about 15mins away is a good beach to walk on and further along the beach will be the old site of Barn's Ness and its lighthouse(well worth visiting).

About a mile from the site along the A1 is a large Asda store. Dunbar town has a small harbour and very picturesque although a few shops in the town were closed. We found it easy to get to, our land mark was the cement works along the A1 as you don't venture into Dunbar itself.

This is possibly the windiest site the C&CC have. It is a newish site and was quite recently relocated from the old position which was about 1 mile along the coast. When the young trees mature it will be better sheltered but a lot of the fantastic view will go.

The site Managers were really friendly and helpful. You could pick your pitch from any available. The toilets were exception well equipped but the floors suddenly sloped down towards central drain channels. This made it almost impossible for my disabled daughter to walk on them.

There is plenty to do in the area. For shopping there is a very large ASDA just outside Dunbar. The town is very quaint although quite a few of the shops had shut down. There is a beach close by but access is quite difficult if you have any mobility issues.

On arrival we were met by the Manager who gave us the choice of the last 2 pitches. Once chosen he gave us lots of details about the site, nearby beach and the town. He also gave us advise about leaving the site in our van, advising of the safest route to take and avoid crossing A!. Very helpful.

The weather in the mornings was awful, but by mid afternoon it was good and beautiful sunsets. We went to the East Fortunes Musemn of Flight and it was brilliant, no hurry to get around the place and its got to be the first time that you were allowed to touch exhibits - I mean come on Concorde and Harrier Jump Jets, I'm a female and I loved it.

The Cafe was also reasonable there. Another day we went to the leisure pool in Dunbar and it was good. The Site is spotless as is the loos. My son who is 9 loves football and was very content up at the footie pitch. Only complaint would be that a park for my 4 year old daughter would have been good. I would maybe go again for a short weekend.

Our first time at this site and we weren't disappointed.

It helps if the weather is good but there are terrific views across the Forth and lovely sunsets when its nice. The site needs to mature a little with some bigger trees and such like but that will come with time.

Toilet facilities are spotless and sufficient. The wardens had a great manner and attitude.

The site is minutes from the beaches at Dunbar and its good to walk along on a pleasant evening. Dunbar as a town is a bit run down but has the basic facilities you need, and Edinburgh is only half an hour drive or so.

Spent 8 nights on our first family camping trip here, booked online through the Camping & Caravanning Club, gave our tent dimensions and chose the pitch offered with electric, only to be told on arrival that this should have been booked as a jumbo pitch and they didn't have any available but they managed to find us a pitch. Will be more aware of this when booking anywhere again.

Lovely site, plenty of space in between pitches, great sea views and Bass rock, some super sunsets also. Very safe for the kids. Toilet, shower block immaculate, although they closed the main block for cleaning 10.30 am till 12 everyday and had to use a solitary family room within those times which had queues forming.

Play area (football) away from the main touring area, dog walk okay. Lovely quiet beach within walking distance or you can take the car. East Links Family park about 10 mins drive great for the kids, no dogs allowed though.

Lovely food at Belhaven Fruit Farm cafe, as is their non dairy ice cream, went to pick strawberries but because of bad weather earlier in the season was delayed till middle of June. Would go back but have become hooked on camping once again, as I was when I was a child with my parents, and would like to visit other places.

 Good points first!

The site managers for this season have been superb, very friendly & helpful at all times. The toilet & washing facilities are very good and kept extremely clean. Access to the site is a doddle, really close to the A1. Superb wildlife nearby with beaches a shortish walk or quick drive should you chose to go by car. Loads to do in the area, with Berwick, Dunbar, North Berwick, and Edinburgh, to name but a few locations, all nearby and easy to get to. Great open views of the sea from the site too.

Bad points: It was almost constantly being buffeted by strong, if not gale force winds with no shelter . Trees have been planted but it is clear that many of them have been killed off by the elements. Bottom line it's never going to be sheltered here but if you can put up with the winds it's pretty much okay. No kids play park though although there is an area for football away from the pitches. As a result my girls were at times bored at the lack of facilities. The installation of a climbing frame/swings would easily sort that although for some reason the C&CC seem reluctant to spend money on such a thing despite claims that they offer family friendly facilities?

Acid test - will we return here again? Doubtful - fed up with the wind - it's a real pain, and the kids do miss a play park where they would normally meet up with other youngsters staying on the site in question. Enjoy your stay though!

The toilets and facilities are very nice and clean. They don't smell and are very very very clean!

It has belhaven fruit ice and that is very tasty!

The staff are very kind and helpful especially if it is your first time (like us!)

You can get a very nice view from the pitches and you can sometimes see wildlife, such as deer and rabbits.

Overall it was a very nice campsite and it was really good for our first time away caravanning, The staff are very helpful and it is just a really nice campsite, I would love to go again!
