We thought this site had loads going for it. A bit of a gem tucked round a corner and a gem of a beach to match. Large pitches with sea views. A lot of planting has been going on. Trees that will provide shelter in years to come but nicely positioned-they wont spoil views. Is it not great to be looking onto sea, hills and forest? There are also shrubs, geraniums etc round loo block etc that the owners are working hard with.
As there was no park we hesitated in booking. Our children like a social centralising place. However, as there was other children playing outside they made friends and played with wee toys together. Whitesands beach-a short walk or cycle away was beautiful. Open spaces on site. Ball games field. Very relaxing stay, nice feel about it. Loos and showers great! Friendly welcome and also when we visited shop.

Broke our camping duck here for two nights. We were the only tent in the campsite (it was mid April). We were camping with our two kids (3 years old and 9 months).
Campsite is pretty much brand new having moved a couple of miles closer to Dunbar from it's previous site (due to the expanding quarry next door - you don't see or hear this from the campsite).
The views from the campsite are stunning, looking out over the Sea, the Bass Rock and the roofline of Dunbar. We were lucky in that we had great weather although one day of wind. Dunbar is the sunniest place in Scotland but beware there is no shelter whatsoever at this site and you are up high on the coast so look at weather forecast before you go.
Pitches were large. Toilet block was superb, quality showers, spotlessly clean and it also had two family bathrooms which were great for the kids.
Plenty to do in the area. The main public park in Dunbar (near to harbour) is superb (best public park I have seen) for the kids and they can spend the whole day their playing for free! East Links Family Park is also definitely worth a visit.
The campsite has a small shop and sells fresh morning rolls etc. My only gripe is the shop doesn't open till 9am which is the middle of the afternoon of you have kids who wake up at 6:30am.
There is no children's play park (a bug bear of mine that most campsites don't have them). Although for older kids there is a big grassy area with quality football goals and nets.
We paid £20 a night for the pitch and EHU. That was as camping and caravan club members and included free kids (as under 5). I think it's slightly on the expensive side.

We stayed for 6 nights as non members. At a total cost of £158 for two adults, I think this is over the top. I'm glad I didn't have two kids and two dogs as well. Facilities were good as everything was new but at this price I would expect at least water and drainage at the pitch. I think I would have to try elsewhere if I were to be in the area again.

Arrived on a stormy night. First impression was of a nicely laid out site. The next morning we woke to lovely views over the sea and towards the islands off Dunbar. Behind the site is a cement works but do not be put off. The toilet block were brand new and very clean, although the showers were very hot and had no temperature control. An ideal stop off site as just off the A1. Would recommend visits to North Berwick.
