We had a 1 night stop off here, what a lovely location right next to a beautiful beach. We could happily have stayed here longer.
The site has direct access on to the sandy beach and has excellent views over to Taransay and also An Clisham, the highest mountain on Harris.
Don’t let the exterior of the toilet block put you off as inside they are very modern and clean with soap and paper towels.
Payment is by means of an honesty box and envelopes are provided in the washing up area to use for this.

Situated near a spectacular beach in an area of spectacular beaches and luminous blues. The site was busy but there was plenty of space. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Camping for tents allowed in the dunes but you had to walk- no cars (rightly) allowed on the dunes. The ground was uneven in many places but that just added to the charm. Great place for kids- dunes, sand and water, what else do you need? Price was fair. Never met the owners so cannot say if they were nice one way or the other.

Stayed here towards the end of July and I will hopefully one day return. The sooner the better.
The site is right next to a sandy beach. There are brilliant views across to the neighbouring Island - the location is stunning. Caravans and camper vans have their own bit of the site, which is slightly raised. Cars are excluded from the area meant for tents, which means its very safe for the kids.
The facilities aren't the most luxurious I've seen, but are clean and adequate. (Only two showers in the mens' and one of which didn't seem to be working. They took £1 coins, but there always seemed to be credit in the machine). At the time I went, a few bare essentials were being sound from the small site office.
Other than wild camping, this seemed to be the only campsite on Harris. That said, for the location you just can't go wrong.
For the birdwatchers - from my tent I watched guillemots, razorbills, a red throated diver and countless other sea birds. There have previously been Basking Sharks in the bay. Oh, and I fell asleep to the sound of a corncrake!

We have just returned from a 7 night holiday here. It is one of the most beautiful areas we have ever been to. The beaches(of which there is an abundance) of pure white sand and crystal clear water will rival those anywhere in the world. The kids(aged 5&2)loved to spend all day on them-rain or shine and it does both as it is Scotland. Good, clean toilets/showers-£1, washing-up areas and shop. Camped among the sand dunes and will be back next year. Ferry prices to all the islands have been reduced this year, it cost us £106 for an Island Hopper 13 - Mallaig to Skye,Skye to Harris and Lewis to Ullapool- for a car,2 adults and 2 kids. 11 miles from Tarbert and Levenburgh for shops, restaurants etc.

Stayed at this site for one night during our visit to Harris. Situated right on the edge of a stunning white beach, its informal pitching with a fair amount of shelter amongst the dunes. There was a new toilet block built last year which is kept very clean. Remember to take £1 coins for the showers. Be sure to bring supplies with you as there is no shop on site.
Payment is via the honesty box at the gate of the site. We paid £10 for 2 adults and campervan.
The other nights we spent on Harris we wild camped in one of the many laybys which are set well back from the roadside with most of them having a wheelie bin and some of them having picnic tables. At the moment wild camping doesn't appear to be discouraged but that may change when the island achieves national park status.
The island is simply stunning, full of white beaches and blue green sea on one side and mountainous and wild on the other.
At the moment the ferry prices have been reduced we paid a very reasonable £64.40 return from Uig to Tarbert.
