I really would like to be nice about this site because the owner is so friendly. However, I have to be honest, and unfortunately in our month's holiday in our campervan, this was the worst site we stayed on.
I guess my main gripe is the price - £18 a night for a pitch with electric hook up. The site is a work in progress and I understand that, however it just seems very low grade for the price charged. The toilet is in what appears to be a garden storage shed, so if you were tall you wouldn't be able to stand upright! The sliding doors don't slide shut properly so as you are sitting on the loo you have to lean forward to hold the doors shut! I imagine it would be blooming cold in there in chilly weather as the shed is made of single layer flimsy metal. There is an attached outside toilet for chemical toilet disposal. There is also a cold water stand pipe.
This site is totally unsuitable to stay at if you don't have your own facilities, ie if camping in a tent, as there is nowhere provided to do washing up or indeed wash, never mind shower, unless you use the small basin in aforementioned shed, next to the toilet.
Also the rubbish bins are difficult to find, and not labelled clearly, so I just kind of randomly had to put our rubbish in a bin I found, labelled something like 'dry waste only' (whatever that means), and hope it was in the right place.

This site is a work in progress but very worth a visit. Bob the owner was still laying the pitches when we arrived. A more helpful and friendly person you will be hard pushed to find.
When finished this is going to be a gem of a site.
There are no showers/wash rooms on site but we used our own
The town of Alnwick is about a 15/20 minute walk down the hill. It has good shopping for anything you may need. The Castle and gardens are fantastic places to visit and if you want to go further afield then Seahouses and Bambourgh are not too far away.
The Shepards Rest pub on site offers good value food and drink(recommend the Sunday Carvery).
The locals made us feel at home in the warm and friendly bar.
