Just returned after 5 nights at this site. Don't normally use 'commercial' sites preferring CLs as have had bad experiences on the last commercial site we used but following a mix up with a CL booking that did not allow dogs, we have one. So was looking for a pitch in the area when we drove by Southery.

Swung around by the pub and went back and found they had pitches available. We pitched in the Top field on a nice size terraced pitch. Facilities excellent, very modern and clean including a washing machine, very quiet despite being between 2 busy roads.

Biggest question, would we use this site again, most definitely. Grass had taken a hit from the prolonged dry weather and I bent some steel pegs due to hardness of the ground.

What a hidden gem. Everything good clean. Sheltered. Even got tv connections at every pitch.

Fishing acrsos road and CHEAP £16 a night, and going adult only next year.

Handy for Cromer, Sheringham and the Norfolk coast.

It's with a heavy heart I write this review.

Not because it's a bad one. Because it's an amazing one and I don't want to go home, or indeed make this site too popular. I believe we stumbled across a little gem of a site here at Southerly.

It's bank holiday weekend and the sun is wall to wall without a cloud in the sky. We've been let down on our pre booked stay and at 0720 on the Saturday morning I ring around with pretty much no hope of getting a site. Then Sandra answers the phone and with a welcoming 'We have space' we are on our way. When we arrived we were greeted by a welcome written on a chalk board and told to pick one of 2 pitches.

The site is small, clean, organised but not flashy. Well laid out with nice size pitches, now this is the thing. Upon first arrival it looked like a well organised CL site. But the amenity block is nearly new and spotlessly clean and well organised.

There is a washing up area with a free washing machine ( not a coin box in sight ). Disabled shower and toilet if required. And plenty of fresh water points. Some of the pitches are hard standing.

When we paid the 2 night fee. It was £32, yes 32 of your British pounds. Amazing. £16 per night for a twin axle, 5 people, electric, awning and a dog

This site is going to be our go to place for cheeky weekends away when the sun is shining and we want a relaxing place to stay.

Locally you have a pub and fish and chip shop withing walking distance. The chip shop had tables out side and it seemed a locals meeting place ( not a load of kids hanging round but adults all enjoying the food and evening sunshine)

Well done to John and Sandra for all you hard work and please keep the site just as it is. Its lovely

The only shame will be in leaving this review I hope I can get in next time, cos you are bound to become more busy with all your fantastic reviews on here

Thanks Dan & Sandra

Arrived on 19 November for 5 nights. We had a part hard standing pitch with electric hookup. Very quiet site despite a busy road in rush hour. Water points were near, so used a watering can to keep the tank filled.

The toilet/shower block was very clean, plus a disabled cubicle when needed. I did mention to John we ladies could do with a hairdryer or a plug in the washroom to use. There was a 5 minute walk to bus stops, ( plenty of buses from Norwich to Cromer /Sheringham/Holt, and even to Yarmouth. All stop at Roughton. Lovely chipshop with a restaurant attached, plus a pub garage with a well stocked shop.

3 miles by car into Cromer. Also very near Fellbrigg hall. ( walkable) and Blickling hall. Thank you John. We hope to be back next summer.

Visited last week. The owner was lovely and extremely helpful.

The site was well placed, the shower block was new and clean. The showers had hot water and you didn't have to press a button to keep the water flowing.

Small quiet site surrounded by residential properties. Very clean toilets and showers although used our own shower.

Only issue we found was very poor 4G signal which we would have liked when planning going out and about. Saying that, would visit again but plan beforehand!

Had planned to visit the local at the end of the road, unfortunately for whatever reason it was closed during our visit

Although the site is sloping in places the pitches are generally level. The shower block is spotless with unlimited hot water and a free washing machine in the kitchen area, fantastic value for the nightly charge. Mr Clark was welcoming and helpful.

The site is well placed for visiting the area although the village is very busy with a lot of noisy traffic along the road outside, it seems to have become a rat run to bypass Cromer.

Felbrigg Hall is just a mile or two down the road and perfect for dog walking through the woods without having to pay to get in. We had a Chinese take away from the pub which was excellent and a meal at the Foundry Arms at Northrepps.

The garage/shop is also excellent and very handy for basics.

We stayed here for 3 nights over Easter and couldn't fault this site. The toilets and shower block were spotless, the showers were hot, and the toilet/shower block was heated.

The owner, John, was very pleasant and helpful, and made sure we had a secluded pitch, which we had requested when we booked. The pitches were well-maintained and there were several fresh water points (taps).

The site was just 10 mins walk from an excellent chippy, a pub and a petrol station/convenience store, and only a few miles by car from the centre of Cromer. We will definitely be returning.

This was a great find from this website. Good, clean facilities on-site. The new shower and toilet block are fully functional. As a disabled user, I was VERY impressed with the toilet and shower. The owner was polite and helpful and even checked my lights before I left! Great!

Just returned from a 8 night stay at southerly park. And agree with the other reviews john the owner is a very friendly man and is there to help you if you need it. Toilet and shower block all new and clean pub up the road which we found the food good and reasonable value. This was our first visit but definitely be going back
