This site has changed a lot since we visited last year (2009). The new owners have done a lot to make it more young-family friendly, installing an arcade of electronic games for one thing, and I felt the pitches had been moved closer together, although it could have been my imagination.

It was very busy when we were there, the nice weather encouraging the kids and families to use the swimming pool, which, being enclosed by concrete walls, was pretty noisy.

It is in a very lovely location at the top of Wrotham Hill, with good access to or from the M20 motorway. There are many good places to visit from here, and lots of walks to do. There are a lot of static caravans too. I agree with the reviewer who said the Receptionist could have been more efficient - she could have been friendlier, too!

Security is very strict, with rising bollards and a locked gate to negotiate before you can get in or out, with a code to enter each time, and cameras watching you all the time.

Overall a fairly good site with good facilities. However, they had no record of our booking which had been made a week previously over the phone, and almost seemed reluctant to try and fit us in, even though it was only for one night. We were 2 adults with our 2 separate children so had brought two small tents.

However we were charged for 2 pitches - £44, pretty steep for one night! And then we were offered a pitch next to the road opposite the toilets. When we objected, we were given a pitch under the trees. Though we did notice there was still plenty of room on the tent field. So verdict = disorganised and not very welcoming. I wouldn't go back for that reason alone.

Pool was nice, though very small, toilet facilities adequate, amusements fun, bar very noisy late into the night. Woodland surroundings nice to walk in, playground very small. Ok for a night or two but I certainly wouldn't want to stay here any longer.

We stayed here last July with 5 other families.

The park was very clean and tidy, the showers and toilets were clean with hot running water. Washing up facilities were good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The kids loved the swimming pool, if they weren't in there they would be off exploring in the woods.

In all this was best weekend of camping we done last year and have just booked up to return this year.

Friendly campsite with lots to do for Children. The pool and play area are really good. I probably would use this site again as it is close to where we live.

However, the receptionist / organisation of pitches / sites was not very good, even though I had booked they were not sure if they would be able to accommodate us for the 2 nights and didn't have any record of our booking.

The toilet facilities were good, but could have been cleaned more often considering as the site was more or less full.

The staff were helpful but lacked any organisation.

Had a lovely couple of days/nights on this site.

-Very clean loos and showers.

-Small and friendly (as most of the mobile homes and caravans were owned).

-Great facilities (pool, bar, laundrette, shop).

-Tidy.

-Lovely brand new play-ground for the young ones.

-Woodland walk.

It is close to the motorway but you can't really hear it. Nice countryside. Only problem we had was rather stony ground, so get good quality pegs and you'll be fine!

Lovely site, very hard ground though, bent a few tent pegs in the process! The swimming pool was a big attraction with the kids, but as it only opened at 10 and we had to be off site at 11am it was extremely crowded first thing due to the fact it was extremely warm, (the car read at 32c!)

Well worth a visit, everyone very friendly and with the added bonus of week old kittens to ahhhhh over

Excellent site staff very friendly good family run site.

Showers good, clean, and hot pool looked nice but the weekend was too cold to use it ( I wasn't brave enough). Nice woods on the site, the children and I had a great time up there.

They also liked the games room and play park.

Will try to go again this year if we get a free weekend. Only down side was if your pitching a tent take some heavy duty ground pegs as the ground becomes very hard when you go below about 3 inches but I knocked my pegs in at an angle to overcome this.

Staff were very friendly taking you to your area that suited us best, having twin 5 year olds, near the play area.

The pitches were level and flat but I must stress take rock pegs about 4 inches down the average pegs stop dead!

Toilet blocks were very clean, and showers were a separate room in the same block, very good but the showers only had curtains not doors, but hey you are camping.

The arcade was quite good and the bar was excellent showing the world cup and the drinks were the usual going rate.

The only downside was the steam rally around the corner had a live band playing really late, not a problem for me but kept others up in the group, may be some higher hedges on the field boundary would cut the noise down from other events in neighbouring fields and very slight noise from the bikers on the A20.

Overall with the addition of a free swimming pool, helpful friendly staff, a nice little woodland walk I would give it a nine out of ten and would definitely be visiting again

On arriving at the park we were led and helped onto our hard standing pitch, which had room for an awning and car alongside.

The site has a nice club house with entertainment most nights, a games room for the children, a children's play area and an outdoor pool. Even though the weather was not great my children still took advantage of the outdoor pool!

The site is well kept with a very clean shower and toilet block. There is a shop in the reception area selling essentials and a small tourist office.

The site accommodates static caravans, touring caravans / campers and tents. The owners of the site were very helpful and did everything possible to ensure guests were happy.

Overall a lovely family run site. We have already booked to go back for a weekend stay in July.

We visited this site for the bank holiday weekend- meaning rain of course. But only for the saturday (luckily). We were shown to our pitch which was backing woodland & on a slope. About half the pitches are on a slope at this site & pitches are fairly close together (with statics dotted about). Hardstanding pitches are available which are level-concrete with gravel for awnings, there are grass pitches with & without hookup (although non-hookup are mostly at the bottom of the site-a bit of a trek to the toilet block at night!)

Also at the bottom of the site is the secure caravan storage area-with cctv. If you're looking for somewhere to store your caravan. As far as we could tell most pitches have very solid ground about 2' down-so pack your rock pegs just in case!-if using a caravan.Don't forget your levelling blocks!

The site facilities are good-toilets were clean (& plentiful),showers were piping hot-you wont want to come out! There are adequate washing up facilities too. The small clubhouse was welcoming with something different on every night (including raffles). The heated pool, though small, was inviting.

The staff were helpful & the site overall -clean & tidy! Do look in reception for the small printed map showing shops in the area-as the brochure that everyone picks up just says that they're nearby! If you are a race fan. Brands Hatch is just up the road-you will hear it-but its not bad-the birds sing louder!

Would we go back? We've already booked the August bank holiday + a few extra days-& taking friends (on our recommendation!). This little site is a bit of a gem
