July 2003 Nice site if a little pricy cost £15 a night for a large freme tent.
Toilet's & showers exellent even had loo roll provided always in good supply & clean. Showers Free. Dish washing facilities good. plenty of hot water. Laundrette broken at time of our visit.
Ice packs available at reception but will not freeze your own packs. £1 deposit + 20p refreeze per pack. Did not last very long probably been frozen too often.
Tent area is in the middle of the main field, Caravan's around the outside with hook up's. Very exposed site with little shelter for tents from the wind which comes mainly from the sea. Smaller tents can get behind the bushes around the field. Make sure to pitch on top of a mound or hill as when it rains the small dip's in the field flood very quickly. Very sandy ground & lot's of ants. I would advise that you take a couple of storm props & some extra guy lines & tent rubbers just in case the weather get's rough. The wind seemed to pick up at night usually around the time the tide changed.
Main field is only 20 yards away from the fantastic beach or you can drive about 150 yards to the car entrance to the beach. there is a charge to take the car on the beach.
Small children's Playground.
No shop on site. There is a small shop/cafe & a bar just opposite the camp entrance but is not connected with the site. Sells milk but little else that a normal camp shop would. Nearest shop is Spar & chippy also a small hardware store about a mile from the site toward Porthmadog.
Camping Supplies should u need anything. nearest is on the Cricceth road just outside the town centre. From the site head back into Porthmadag, turn left onto main road at Wooly's turn left again at the roundabout. shop is on the right just past Kwik Save.
Nearly forgot 2 drinks machines outside the toilet block, Coke & Ribena I believe.
Very nice site right near the beach at Black Rock Sands.
Toilets and showers where clean small shop separate field for tents without hook up
Quite sheltered with hills and trees small childrens play area dogs allowed. £13 per night with hook up Closest shops are approx 1 mile away (Spar) and Chip shop
