Nice site. Toilet block basic but functional and clean
Perfect situation for ferry ( 1 minute)
Owner incredibly helpful, lent us electrical hookup and fixed new plug on! Good advise about location
Toilets etc fine, clean and adequate.
Out of season just as you would expect- limited food in pub. I would go back to enjoy whole area and be reassured if there was a problem the owners would do whatever needed to help

We were given a stunning pitch over looking the bay, fantastic views from motorhome. We stayed here for two nights before catching the ferry to Harris.
Toilets and showers were clean and tidy.
Uig is a lovely village and there is a lovely pub at the end of the site. We ate there both nights, had the best steak ever.
Worth going to fairy glen, we walked which took about four hours there and back but that was three stops at different pubs on way back. Fairy Glen stunning.

Nice site in well kept grounds, good price for a nights stay, 15 quid. Owners very nice and helpful.
A pub and restaurant very near by, pub very good has a pool table, very friendly.
Local shop is quite expensive but as that's all that's around the area, would be an idea to stock up before you visit.
The only thing that let the site down was the cleanliness of the loos and lack of loo roll, music was a nice touch though.
Beautiful area with the fairy glen just along the road behind the hotel, a wee bit of a drive but so worth it, stunning.

Spent a couple of nights here before getting the ferry to Lewis. Caravans are at the bottom of the field on what looks like a car park. The field then slopes upwards, haven't got chocks for van yet so bit of an angle first night until we moved further down the next night. Also had a tent, hookup, two 19 year olds and two dogs too, £24 per night, not too bad.
Piped music in the toilet block from traditional Scots music to Golden Brown on steel drums, made for a surreal visit at times! Toilet block and washroom kept clean and tidy.
You have lovely views from the site on all sides and can watch ferries leaving the port. Probably not a lot to do for kids if they can't cope without gadgets.
Fairy Glen is worth a visit just up the hill off the main road out of Uig. Wild camped there for a night on our return from Lewis.
Shop, petrol station and cafe by the port terminal a five minute walk away, pub en route which we didn't go in. Very handy for ferry.

Stayed for two nights before catching an early morning ferry. Bottom part of site resembled a car park with no marked pitches so spaces between units varied.
A large party of Danish Motor Homes arrived and were allowed to park any where they wanted with what appeared little regard for safety.
The showers were in need of cleaning with no towels or soap.
The pub by the ferry was dog friendly and we enjoyed watching the ferries arriving and departing.
Didn't visit the local shops but a good spot to explore the northern end of Skye

Nice level site although the lack of grassed divisions between pitches gave the impression it was a carpark. Amenities are clean but basic.
The lack of lighting in the building during the dark mornings is a problem. There is no soap, hand-dryers or paper towels provided. Loved the music though.
The kitchen during our one-night stay was commandeered by some campers. As the weather was wet and windy they set up a cooker on the draining board and generally took over the whole room as their own.
The bar/restaurant at the end of the drive is not dog-friendly so we gave that a miss. The cafe by the ferry terminal is very expensive (£6. 99 for a burger on bun, £7. 10 with cheese). The Ferry Inn further along the road is dog-friendly so got our custom.
There is some very good walking in the area if you enjoy exploring.
This is a good site for a stop-over for getting the ferry but maybe not for longer stays.

Arrived here whilst it was poring with rain. The site is on a slight slope so it was draining well. Left car on the tarmac rather than risk it getting stuck.
Tent area is surrounded by a hedge so we camped fairly close to it for some shelter. Ground was flat with no bumps.
Facilities block was a bit cramped, but had a decent supply of hot water and decent music going most of the day.
From the tent we could see across the bay and watch the ferrys go in and out. Site was very relaxing.
The Onsite office was able to supply breakfast, rolls etc but we had already brought our breakfast.
Local area didn't really have much to offer. There is a pub/restaurant next to the nearby ferry terminal but I'd avoid it. We watched a family wait 90 mins for food to then be told they'd run out of what they'd order. My food was cold when it eventually arrived.

I had a great evening in Uig Bay but my state of mind was on a high from being in Skye and lapping up the atmosphere in the Ferry Inn. We had a lovely meal and some teenagers were playing traditional, Scots instruments - they were fantastic! All the tables were moved so we could dance but my brother was too interested in the Whiskeys. After our fill of Scot's culture, I went and stood at the bay, smoking a cigar and watching the lights shimmer out to sea.
The pitch was basic but all facilities were functional, I even got free Wi-Fi through BT.

We have just returned from a wonderful seven nights at Uig Bay Campsite. We were pitched beside the BandB and had wonderful sea views on three sides an ideal spot for birdwatching seal spotting and telling the time by the rhythm of ferry arrivals and departures (all from the comfort of our bed).
Martin the campsite owner runs the campsite very efficiently - the recycling and refuse facilities were always tidy and emptied regularly and the showers were free hot clean and powerful.
Although Martin is efficient he is very laid back and the site has a very relaxed air about it. Uig is a pleasant little village and everything is an easy walk from the site even for us (we both have mobility problems)
We found the locals were very pleasant and welcoming and we enjoyed fishing from the pier and chatting to the crews of the fishing boats and were privileged to enjoy some of their catch the langoustines and scampi tails were delicious.
If you enjoy walking geocaching sightseeing fishing or just relaxing on holiday then you will find this site a great base. We will definitely return.

We were in a party of five with us in a motorhome and three others in a tent. The owners were very happy for us to put the motorhome in the tent area so we could all be together.
The site is clean tidy and welcoming. The shower block is dated and could benefit from larger cubicles but was clean and there was no shortage of hot water.
Much to our entertainment there was, during the daytime, music playing in the toilet block with all musical tastes catered for from bagpipes to heavy rock. We didn't hear the same tune twice and it added to the fun of the place.
The site is excellently located for the ferry. There are some stunning views of the bay from the site and excellent walks in the surrounding area.
This is a small village location but there are local pubs and shops so you can get basic provisions but none of the pubs were dog friendly so we didn't sit inside.
We thought the food at the pub near the harbour was expensive (around £10/£11 for fish or pie and chips)and didn't seem like good value for money.
We would certainly recommend this site and would definitely stay again in the future.
