We stayed for 1 night on a bank holiday weekend. The site was really busy but didn't feel overcrowded and never had to queue for the toilets. The toilets did end up getting a bit messy at night and one of the doors in the ladies didn't lock. The kids loved the playground and being so close to the beach was great as we had lovely weather.
The site has fixed pitches and they ask you to pitch your tent centrally behind the marker. This meant that we looked directly into the tent across from us. Something that could be avoided if they staggered the markers.
The site does have a shop but it doesn't sell the basics, though there is a supermarket a few minutes walk so not too much of a problem and it was nice to sit and have an icecream after pitching our tent in the heat!
As its not too far from home for us, we will almost certainly be back again.

We stayed for two nights on our way up to the highlands
The site is well kept with friendly staff,
the toilets and showers were clean and tidy.
No shop on site but only a short walk to supermarket lots of space for kids to play.
We went for several walks along the beach and grasslands surrounding the site with lovely sea views and wildlife. Ideal for birdwatchers at certain times of the year,
We will be visiting again in the next few years

First time away with our new tent this site was not to far to go too good clean site staff were good.
Short walk to North Berwick the weather was good will be going back again for a short weekend again.
I thought it was not over priced and when we got there we could put up the tent were ever we liked lots of room with power points near to the tent if you would like to have power.
My boy liked the playground as it was near to the office. If you needed shopping there is a big shop near a three min walk from the site which I thought was good.

I returned to this site which I have stayed at on numerous occasions. The site is kept neat and tidy with the grass in perfect condition. My only complaint is about the cost of having your pets stay with you. To charge more for a dog which can't use the facilities, than for an extra person which can is beyond belief. I have well behaved dogs and was charged an additional £7.00 per night for the right to have them with me. It will seriously make me think twice about returning to what is a lovely site.

First outing in touring caravan. Easy to find campsite offering opportunity to camp, wigwam, stay in a static caravan or use your campervan or touring caravan. Staff all very friendly, helpful and give a good impression of job satisfaction which makes for a pleasant stay. Site very clean, tidy and well laid out.
We pre-booked (essential as site got very busy) and then had our choice of pitch. Despite being very busy this had the benefit of showing it is quiet and seemingly secure at night. All pitches are well proportioned and have excellent views of the historic north Berwick town and harbour and especially, the Bass Rock.
Site has good tourist information, pay phones, laundry, ironing, sleeping bag hire and safe play areas for children of various ages. Showers, toilets and facilities for washing dishes/pots all clean and well maintained and plenty free hot water at constant temperature. Good sized tesco (with petrol station) only a short, easy 10 minute walk and the town another 5 mins. No effort at all walking in/out and you could stop off at the putting & tennis area which boasts a relaxing homely refreshment facility.
Excellent range of eateries and independent shops as well as beautiful clean beaches - no jelly fish - and a walled, clear, shallow sea pool ideal for children. Area benefits from a generally dry summer climate and if you go in August, then the site is ideally placed for walking to the town's Highland games. As you will have gathered, no complaints about this affordable family friendly site and will definitely return.

am almost reluctant to write this review as it may make this site even more popular and difficult to book.
This is one of the best camp sites we have visited. We always camp as a group and found it to our advantage that we were told to have a look round the site and pitch our tents where ever we liked in the tent section. After a good bit of deliberation, we chose a spot perfect for our group.
The site is ideal. Lots of toilet/shower blocks dotted about. A play area big enough to keep the kids occupied for an hour. Putting, pool, table tennis etc.
In the evening it was great to see the friendly staff carrying out hourly checks round the site.
The site shop is very basic but with a major supermarket (T) over the road, what more couldyou want.
The beach at North Berwick is just a five minute walk away, with no major roads to cross. Just a quick cut through the golf course. Very handy.
I think we will be back!

Spent a weekend in our tent on the site. Very enjoyable.
This is a well run site and the tent areas are perfect - flat grass pitches. You can choose where you pitch and the tent area of the site is divided into smaller areas by mature trees and bushes - making it very sheltered from winds.
They seem to accept large tents - we had a Vango Diablo 900 next to us with an extra awning and a large gazebo too ! But do check with the site before taking my word for it.
Good children's play areas. Beach only ten minutes off road walk. Tesco only 5 mins walk. Far enough out of town to be quiet but central enough to have everything close to hand.
Toilets clean but not perfect - cleaned twice each day when we were there, but interior layout of the blocks makes it hard for the cleaners to do a perfect job I suspect.
Extra marks for the security man and the site manager appearing at 2am to evict a noisy group of youngsters who were causing hassle to others.
All in all a very good site - we'll certainly go back.

We've been coming to this site for years, and always loved our vists.
There seems to have been several changes of manager over the last three years or so and as result there doesn't seem to be the same personal interest as before.
The views from the caravan part of the site are superb and there is plenty of space between units.
The self contained toilet and shower cubicles mean it can get quite busy at times. It was quite novel when the site first opened, but, although they have been refurbished recently, they get dirty very easily.
This year's prices have rocketed, and seem poor value for money.
Despite being a bit critical, we still love this site.
Tesco is only a few minutes walk away and the town of North Berwick about twenty minutes away via a footpath to the beach.
This corner of the lothians is one of the Scotland's best kept secrets.

Just returned from 2 night stay over May weekend at Tantallon.
What a beautiful location behind Glen golf course, overlooking picturesque bay of North Berwick. On arrival we were told just to select our own pitch and set up. There was quite a choice ranging from pleasantly level hard standing or grass with varying degrees of slope. Toilet / shower block clean and in good condition. Queue for showers though both mornings, quieter later in the day.
Very pleasant 10 minute wander along the Beach or stroll along the road to North Berwick with a good choice of eating establishments from the Chippy, Hotels or Fancy looking Bistro. Also regular rib boat trips around Bass Rock.
Small shop on site and nearby Tesco 5 mins walk towards North Berwick or Somerfield a bit futher. Tantallon Castle 30 min walk in the other direction. Would recommend this site to others and would return here.
