This campsite is set on a dairy farm in beautiful countryside. It is well placed for exploring the National Forest and visits to Alton Towers. Burton and Uttoxeter are also nearby. This is a very basic site, there is no shop, but there are plenty of village shops and pubs serving food nearby. It has hardstanding for 5 caravans with electric hook up and these pitches are fairly level, however for campers the remainder of the field is on a slope and when we went the grass was extremely long! There is a toilet, shower and wash hand basin for campers use but, these are housed in a very old, tatty and grimy caravan and are truly awful! They are all in the same (tiny) room so this can lead to long waits if someone is brave enough to take a shower (I wasn't!). However this site is very cheap, has great views and is very quiet, it is fine for an overnight stop, possibly longer.

We have just returned from a one night stay at this site and I would thoroughly recommend it. It is small and completely laid back, and the farmer very friendly. Basic facilities in a caravan as described below, but fully functioning so no complaints, The small and low key nature of the site suited us perfectly. Plenty of space per pitch. Nice walks in the area, lots of sites on the farm to amuse our toddler. The site is definitely hilly though so watch how you pitch, the views make it worth it though. We hope to return one day.

This was the first time we had visited the site and we found it to be in a very pleasant surrounding. We understand the site has only been in open since 2006 but it has a lot of potential. Owners are excellent and are very helpful indeed. Although the site has limited facilities such as one toilet I am sure this will be rectified in the future. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and I am sure we will be there again next year.

A nice site. Facilities were basic consisting of a toilet and shower in an old caravan. The toilet and shower were clean and worked well. The site was on a hillside with an excellent view over the adjacent valley. The site is directly adjacent to a field containing cows which did moo quite a bit during the night. The site is on a working farm and when I went to pay the friendly owner he was milking his cows.

Great little site with friendly owners and lovely views. We had a grass pitch which was a bit steep but fine. As mentioned in other reviews the toilet and shower facilities are pretty basic (but clean). Lots to do in the surrounding area - try the Vernon Arms in Sudbury for an excellent pub lunch. All in all a site we'll be adding to our favourites list and going back to.

This site is small with very basic facilities, however for us, this was a plus rather than a minus! The toilet and shower are situated in an old caravan and despite being basic both worked so didn't detract from a wonderful stay. Water easily available in the same field and they kindly provide old wooden stumps to pop your BBQ on so that you don't leave the grass scorched (these can be found by the gate into the facility yard). Be warned, the camping area, situated on top of a sloping field requires careful positioning of your tent and on windy nights you'll need those extra pegs! The camping field has one of the most spectacular views I've seen in a long time, and it was so peaceful - we'll definitely be visiting again. Over all this is a little piece of paradise, ideal for those wanting peace & quiet and a superb view to enjoy with a glass of wine.
