We stayed here for 3 nights at beginning of our hols & 1 night on way home as it's about an hour from Dunkirk. A good site, well laid out with small trees & long grass between pitches. There's a long concrete standing for motorhomes as you enter - they did seem to be well packed in with little room between. It's a 10 min walk to Menin Gate for Last Post ceremony each evening at 8pm. Ypres is a lovely town set around a huge square.
Only down side was the toilets & showers. These are in the back of the block that houses the changing rooms for the running track next door. They are a bit basic & not always very clean. My wife refused to use the showers as they are very much like a well used public sports hall. If these were updates it would be a superb site. It's also very reasonably priced.

Superb location, busy site within short walk of Ypres. Friendly staff, tidy campsite but facilities not always as clean as could be. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed Yepres - a fine city, the museum and the Menin Gate ceremony. At the end of the campsite just beyond the running track is a lovely adventure playground for children (although we don't have children of relevant age.
46 euros for 2 nights for 4 people with electricity.

Easy to find site, we put the co-ordinates from Google Earth in before we left. It is near to the floating tap island and just before an Aldi.
The entrance has a barrier and if reception is shut you have to enter details into a book in machine. It gives you a key and this lets you onto the site.
Pitches are allocated from the book in. Pitches for motorhome are all hardstanding.
There is not a lot of space between pitches so on hot days space is limited for sitting out.
Showers are down towards the end of the site, where the tents and caravans are.
A 10 minute walk takes you into Ypres and the Menin Gate is well worth going to visit on all the evenings you are there.
The town is very picturesque.
A map can be supplied of the town from reception.
Visit the museum in town as well.
The town seemed to be spotlessly clean, with lovely cafes and chocolate emporiums!
The site is not ideal for children.
Dump station is good along with recycling.
Would recommend

Just to add to these reviews
The Reception only seems to be running between 9am to 11am and 3pm to 5pm
There is a facility to get in if you have booked but when we went to use it the door was locked.
I saw another person go to book in, they had pre-booked and had their details, and they managed to book in but the gate pass card didn't work so they were still stuck outside
As others have said, the site is well laid out and is ideally situated for anyone wanting to visit the Menim Gate and surrounding battlefields.

Overview:
We stayed on this camp site at the beginning of March (and will be still on site for a few more days), In total 8 nights. We paid 14 Euroz a night
Whilst we were camping we had severe storms, not only torrential downpours but blizzards and strong winds followed by Hardfrosts and Sunny Days, we had it all :-)
Whilst the ground got water logged, in places, there was no flooding, however the fields around Ieper, we considerably flooded.
Pitches:
The site has 3 types of Pitches, Bricked out area for Motor homes, These pitches are level and a good size. At the top of the Site there is a camping field, and then there are 'Touristic' pitches, which is predominately for caravans. There is no vehicular access to the tent field as previously mention.
There are also 3 Hikers huts available, which would be ideal for those exploring the area on foot or by bike.
We required electric hookup and were told we needed a 'Touristic' pitch. We were happy with this as we had a lot of kit and it is nice to have the car with us.
The 'Touristic' pitches I would say are a little small, IMHO. Our Nevada M with front extension, fitted on, but the guy ropes were in the flower beds to the rear and behind, and over the rubber vehicle tracks to the third side, meaning we had to leave the car on the service road. This was not a problem as we were the only tent on site (there was no Caravans, but the odd motor home stayed for a night or 2)
Our Maryland XL would not have fitted on the pitch.
Noise:
Yes there is a droning noise coming from the factory, I would say it was reasonably quiet, no louder than an average road. The main road can be heard over the factory during the 8 am 'Rush hour', Certainly the Rain and Wind was louder.
We did not find it a problem. Likewise the Saturday night disco did not cause any problems (w e will see if tomorrow night is any worse)
You do not come to this site for stunning views from your tent, it is an Urban camp site, on the edge of an Industrial estate, with the Factory nearby and car dealership. However it is a grassy site with Trees around the exterior. The flower beds would probably nice once spring has sprung into action. Each pitch in the 'Toursitic' area has rubber to tracks to manoeuvre you vehicle on, great for a caravan but in the way for a larger tent.
We were in pitch A21, which is the furthest away from reception, which backs on to the Athletics track (which seems to be a pretty good facility and well used). Two Observations from this:
A) the flood lights came on in the evening, and illuminated the tent. I keep meaning to record the time they went out, but get distracted. However if you were early to bed people or with children this may be a problem, however this only applies when night draws in early.
B) WIFI, We had WIFI in our tent, It was free, but Flaky. It was usable most of the time but a bit slow. To be honest, I am not even sure if it was the Camp site WIFI were were connecting to or another open Network (SSID:WIFI_4E) as the distance from the reception to our pitch was probably at the end of the routers range.
Services:
There are 2 Toilet Blocks, One by Reception, Which needed the Gate swipe card to enter, and another within the sports pavilion. This had 3 showers for each men and women. We only used the Sports Pavilion facilities (which could not be accessed by the athletics track) however they were spotlessly clean, and warm, which we used to dry our wet clothes in over night. Again, I must stress that most of the times we were the only people on site, and we tend to clean up after ourselves.
The Washing up area is also clean and located outside this Shower blocks. Signs indicate that there is also a chemical toilet point nearby.
Security:
Security is good, with 2 Barriers, one to get on to the site, the other between the Motor homes and the Touristic pitches, however there is a Public footpath that runs through the site, and as such pedestrian access is not Restricted.
Children's facilities:
Plenty of open spaces to play in, and there is a children's playground to the left of our tent, this is probably part of the sports and leisure facilities rather than the camp site itself. If I was a child I would have fun using it :-)
Reception:
The Auto Check in is good idea, but I was only aware of it reading this forum, and the campsite, whilst confirming our reservation, made no mention of it, nor how it works.
Reception hours, I would say are good, especially out of season, and Auto check in facilities, however there is nothing there, No leaflets or information about local amenities or sights, with exception of 1 A4 sheet of paper advising of the 8. 00pm Last Post Memorial.
There is no Shop/Cafe/Restaurant on site, but there is an Aldi round the 5 mins away, Lidl 15 mins, and 12 Mins to Menin gate, from there you can reach all shops in town very quickly. From Camp site to Railway station took 25 mins, the furthest part of town from the camp site. All times are on foot:-)
On Saturday, the Disco has a Take away Van outside for late night food, I am not sure about its advisability on other nights, but is 5 mins away.
Over all, I would recommend this site as an Ideal base for the Ypres and WW1 sites. I tend to disagree with other reviews that this site is only good for 1 or 2 night stops, as we stayed for 8 nights (our original plan was to stay a couple of nights and move on as per the reviews, but changed our mind), but if you want a site that provides entertainment, then this is not for you.

We stayed at this site for one night (Saturday night) just to visit the Menin gate and visit a relatives grave in nearby Kemmel.
We did not book but still managed to get a touristic pitch which was fairly large, but being towards the end of the season a bit barren and muddy.
Location is perfect for Ypres and the WW1 battlefields.
The toilet blocks that we used were the ones situated in the sports pavilion and they were clean, only three showers, toilets and sinks though. No shop on site but there is an Aldi within five minutes walk.
There was a lot of work going on as there is a athletics track being built right next door, how that will affect the site I don't know.
On the particular Saturday night we stayed there was a young persons disco in a nearby hall and all we could here was the base bagging out until four AM then a further hour of clearing the areas which again was not quiet. Speaking with other campers who had stayed previously this had happened on a Saturday night before, so be warned.

This is a well kept site however it is not ideal for those who want to camp.
On arrival I found the automated checking quite easy to use, because we were camping we could not pre book and had to do so on arrival, you get an access card that costs you 4 euros (refundable on return) that allows access to the toilets and we thought the car park barrier, how wrong we were!
On not being able to open the barrier we were told that we could only bring the car in if we booked a touring pitch that caravans use, this would have cost us extra and therefore we had to leave the car outside the barrier luckily the tent field wasn't too far away and only staying the 1 night we brought minimal equipment.
This reason alone does not make it idea for tents, but another reason is neat door there is a factory unit that appears to run 24 hours and makes a lot of noise through the night, this is not easy to drown out under canvass. At night I also noticed that where we had to leave the car was an unlit road, I was obviously concerned about this however thankfully nothing happened.
The site staff were friendly enough and resolved our problem with the access card straight away. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy. However for the above reasons I would not recommend this site for tents.
The site location is good and is ideal if you want a stop over to see the menin gate/. I would not stay more than 1 night unless I had a caravan or camper van

A very special site, so close to the amazing town of Ypres. Completely destroyed - every building - the whole place was rebuilt including the magnificent St Martin's gothic cathedral and their equally magnificent cloth hall (now the home of the deeply moving and fantastically well-done In Flanders Field museum and tourist info).
The site is ten mins walk from the Menin Gate of the famous ceremony each evening at 8. 00. 2 minutes further on is an abandoned lido. The cafe is still open and there is a sand 'beach' for children to play. The pool is rapidly being overgrown and is now home to hundreds of very large ornamental carp. Like something from a Doctor Who set.
We hired bikes and followed the planned cycle trail around the outskirts of Ypres visiting notable places from WWI including Macrae's forward hospital where the poppies poem was written, Hellfire corner and the 'Time Team' re-discovered Yorkshire Regiment deep trenches.
The no-cars section of the campsite deliberately encourages walkers, cyclists and bikers and is the best place to meet people and talk. Car drivers are allowed providing you are happy to carry your stuff a few yards.
Staff are super-helpful, there is also a futuristic late check-in machine, the toilets very clean, there is free wifi and best of all the cost is very low - for us with 2 people and one tent it was 42 euros for four nights. Only downside was the mildly continuous factory hum from a nearby plant - this did switch off late on Friday night - but nowhere is perfect.
Nearest supermarket is Aldi five minutes walk on road to Hellfire corner but better to go into town to shop. There is a good supermarket opposite the front of the cathedral and you can try the bread shop (queued outside on Sunday morning) and the pate-cheese-ham shops for traditional local flavour. And the frites. With mayo, of course.

Stayed 2 nights early July - fairly busy but not full. Prebooked - very speedy response to enquiry.
Very good municipal campsite close to the centre of Ieper - 10 minutes walk to the Menin Gate and a few minutes more to the Cloth Hall
Motorhome pitches are paved and are quite close together. Camping & caravans on grass. Showers and loos plus washing up facilities in lower floor of adjacent sports ground stand. Also small loo block, with security card, near camping car pitches - not completely finished but very convenient
Wi-fi very good and free
Saturday morning market in Gross Markt very good - able to stock up for the evening's bbq
Easy cycling to world war one site: Hill 62 and Hooge Crater - very moving. Good are for cycling
Extremely good value for money: 12 euros per night for motorhome, 4 adults and electricity

A superbly situated site only a ten minute walk to the Menin Gate and therefore Ypres town itself. However, not visible at all from the road. A clean site with level hard standing pitches but we found vans were parked quite close together.
Felt site could have done with few more toilets and showers as only 3 showers and 3 toilet cubicles in total. At the time of our visit there was some significant building work being conducted at the rear of the site which meant a lot of banging etc in the mornings.
Staff spoke excellent English. For any late arrivals who could net get onto site after it closed at 6pm there is a very quiet virtually unused road at the rear of the site where motorhomes could park up for the night.
Great for what we wanted which was a battlefields and war graves tour. I would recommend this site (once the building work is done)
