Very nice park with great facilities. Dog friendly with a nice field for exercising and doggy bins for their left overs.
The owners are very helpful and friendly, facilities are immaculate and showers are free.
Location is ideal for exploring North Devon.
Having the river run through the park is really nice and even though the North Devon Link road is just the other side of the trees we didn't notice it at all.

Warm, friendly welcome. Easy to find and close to Malverns - Lovely views from our pitch. Great for families although noisy if you haven't got kids (like us). How can kids play football in the dark and raining?!
Could have done with a site map as we would like to have gone for a walk by the river but couldn't find a way to it. Good clean facilities.
Will go again

We decided to go away over the Christmas Period and decided to try this site. The site was very well kept and clean, however the main problem was the cold toilet/shower block. The radiator in the block was barely warm in the mornings and evenings (when most people tend to use the block) and was completely cold during the day. We stayed for 5 days and it was pretty cold at times, the heating should have been on all day. We went to the open air carol concert in South Molton on Christmas Eve and really enjoyed it (we had seen in advertised on posters).
It wasn't for us, but as mentioned before it was well kept and clean.

Although the weather was very unsettled, both the site and facilities were very well kept, quite a task considering the torrential rain and endless mud.
Shower and toilet block kept like new, small shop but well stocked and site owners very helpful and obliging.
Nearby village of South Molton very handy for shops, eating out, post office etc. Site well positioned for access to coast and Exmoor.
If you have children, we can recommend a visit to the 'Big Sheep' near Bideford, the 'Dinosaur Park' at Combe Martin and 'Quince Honey Farm' in South Molton.
Definitely a 5* site!

Excellent clean facilities on this campsite. The cleaners come in at midnight so you always wake up to spotless facilities. A few things worth mentioning:
1. The road is intrusive, but you quickly get used to it and tune it out.
2. We had dreadful weather, and in such circumstances it is clear that the camping field could not cope. The river ambling through the site will tell you that this ground can get marshy
3. The owners were friendly, and we were full of praise for the way the place is run.
4. The area is beautiful, with trips to coast and Exmoor going down well.
I would be happy to use this site again, but as some tents had to move because the ground was so waterlogged I would be a bit nervous of the weather. In good weather I should imagine that it would have been amongst our favourite camp sites.

Well what can I say. Another great week (apart from the rain!). Owners and staff were very helpful and friendly - willing to help where ever they could in relation to the wet weather and mud!. The shower block was kept exceptionally clean when you take into account the amount of mud around.
Shop on site very good, lots of choice - lovely fresh bakery rolls daily for a good price.
Lots of markets in the area to visit - cattle market in South Molton on Thursdays is an experience.
The North Gate cafe up the road is great for big breakfasts and main meals.
Looking forward to returning next year. Thanks to Joe, Nicky and Henry for making holiday so relaxed.

Visited there a while ago now and found the site to be first class in both service and facilities. Toilet block is excellent standard, owners are welcoming and very helpful, but not intrusive! I great balance there!
Recommend this site to everyone I meet! It is a must, there is a main road nearby but it is quiet enough to hear the hawks crying above as they go up on the thermals! Really relaxing place! You will never want to leave!

We’ve stayed at this site over the winter (catching the winter swells) as it is one of the few in the area open all year around, and have kept coming back as it is quiet and a nice break from the madness of most of the N. Devon beaches / sites in the Summer. It takes us about 30-40 mins to Saunton / Croyde.
The camping is in a big field with a stream running through the middle, near the busy A361. This makes the road noise quite loud (it will be great when the trees have grown in a few years time) which is the only real downside of the site, although also means it’s quick to get to off the M5.
The facilities are excellent and extremely clean, and the owners and staff very friendly and welcoming. Although initially it seemed to be more camper / caravan orientated, the owners have recently made nice improvements to the camping field (dotting picnic tables around, and making BBQ boxes for disposable BBQs etc.) and seem keen to continue to improve.
We’ll keep coming back…

This place is fantastic. We have just returned from a weekend here. The hardstandings for caravans / motorhomes are the best we have seen. No need to level, just reverse on and unhook! The facilities as mentioned before are immaculate, Henry always on hand to help. We have 3 children (ages 12, 7 & 6) and whilst the play area is not yet built (planning permission awaited) they spent most of their time playing in the river or looking for the trout, with loads of room to kick a football or play. The owners have placed high quality picnic tables on every pitch and also benches along the riverside for parents to sit and watch the kids play in the river in safety. The dog walking area is a large enclosed field away from the site, our cocker spaniel loved it! Nothing was too much trouble and very welcoming and relaxing - we feel that we have been away alot longer than a weekend. In summary, after staying at many sites in North Devon due to the childrens love of the beach we will now be staying here regularly as it represents brilliant value for money and is close to many things on Exmoor and only 10 miles from Barnstaple.

Whilst I completely agree with all the previous comments regarding pitches, sanitation etc which were all excellent. About this site we found the road noise from the nearby (200yds?) A361, to be quite disturbing. Mind you we are used to 'hear a pin drop at noght' where we live.
